Meh. I am frustrated when you talk to someone on the phone they tell you to go to the store are you going to the store? They tell you that they can't do it properly call or do online. I am still very disappointed with AT&T's service coverage. If GCI wasn't such a shitty company, I would switch but now we have Verizon. Maybe something I should look into. read more

Service on the north slope sucks, they don't service their towers or maintenance their systems. Dropped call after call. But their big time at&t, well big time has the worst service in the arctic circle. read more

I went in to this AT&T to get hot spot added to my plan, and explained that I was going on a road trip through Canada, and that I needed the hotspot to keep up with classes. They were able to add it to my plan, and all was good, until we checked our monthly bill, and saw that they had in fact upgraded both of our phones to the unlimited elite plan, and that our bill for two phones was 277.76. After spending some time on customer support they were able to reduce our bill somewhat, but not fully because we had already used the plan. The employees here and not honest and just trying to get commission. Customer beware. read more

I lost my phone and went to this AT&T location to help me figure out how to wipe the data off my old one and get a new phone. The woman who helped me seemed very disinterested and made zero effort to help me figure out how to wipe my old phone and handed me a pamphlet on how to get a new phone and sent me on my way. Either she was not informed on how to wipe old phones or just didn't care, either way it was flippant and her tone was rude and I'll probably not go back to this location. read more

It's the third time we have had to come get help with some SIM card problem. They wouldn't let my over age daughter do it in her own. They needed me for some reason. So for years I was a T-Mobile customer and a big fan of the Blackberry. But well, T-Mobile isn't in Alaska, so when I moved up here I made the switch to AT&T and went back to using a regular cell phone. Over the past 6 months or so, I've been visiting the AT&T stores around town and toying with the idea of an upgrade back to a smart phone. I noticed that all the AT&T stores are phasing out cell phones altogether and only offering smartphones. They do have a SMALL selection of pay-as-you-go cell phones, but since I get a hefty discount from my employer to get a cell "contract" from AT&T, I realized I was going to have to make the leap back to a smart phone. I walked into the store having no idea what I was going to get and having done no real research (how very unlike me!) I wasn't necessarily going to purchase something, just looking. When I asked the salesgal if they had any Blackberries, she politely laughed at me then proceeded to talk to me about products they actually had in stock. At first I balked, but she, in a very not-pushy way, helped me figure out how to proceed. After patiently answering my questions, giving me her personal opinions and asking me pertinent questions, she figured out exactly what phone would be PERFECT for me. And I absolutlely love it. Good job! No buyers regret at all because she took the time to listen to me and figure out what I wanted. Woo hoo! I still think it's lame that AT&T is forcing smart phones on the world, but it is what it is. And now my beautiful Galaxy is GLUED to me. Oh well. It is a match made in heaven, after all. read more

We love AT&T, the Boise AT&T store we used to frequent when we lived there was amazing. Just superb customer service. Then we moved to Anchorage, Alaska - we still love AT&T and Alaska too but this store, their customer service is horrible. Well there is this particular guy there actually, it's basically just him. He need to be sent to Customer Service 101 class or maybe Customer Service for dummies. The most unapproachable, disinterested customer representative I have ever come across. My wife and I walked in today and he was not even ready to listen to what we had to say fully. We have been AT&T customers for a while now. We have both phones and both watches with them and today, even though I love AT&T, I felt like switching to another carrier. If you can't cater to ur customers and try to be or pretend you care about them, might as well close shop and call it a day. Terrible customer service. They quoted a price for 2 new lines $50 under what it actually ended up being (this including the staggered promotional credits, without them it would be $75 more a month). Then when the phones arrived and the new service was opened up and the price was far more than the quote, the rep shrugged and said he didn't remember the original quote nor were there any notes from the initial sale. Both Raymond and his manager said they wouldn't do anything to rectify the situation and that we can return the phones but they'll charge us a $110 fee to do so. If you're going to open up new lines at AT&T, I highly recommend going to Costco. They have the same promotional deals like the Buy One Get One Free, and then they throw in a $200 Costco card on top of it. Avoid the Sears Mall AT&T store like the plague. read more

My wife and I have been AT&T customers for years now. I was ready to switch but my wife wanted to stay. My wife got a new iPhone and a new two year contract. There was no high pressure sales tactics or push to get her on one of their new plans. I showed them the details go another company's no contract plan. They said they couldn't beat the price and there was no pushy sales tactics. We walked out of there with a new phone for the wife and I felt comfortable moving on to another company for my plan. Now that they have Direct TV I'll probably be heading back do I can ditch GCI. read more

A longtime AT&T customer. I was sent to this store by AT&T insurance "Assurion" because they wouldn't be able to send me a cable for the phone replacement which was different than my original and required a different cable. They were nice to include 2 cables that didn't fit. "They" were supposed to call ahead and let them know I was coming... Okay so "They" messed that up but to compound the issue, I get to the store and wait over 34 minutes (I had been there waiting when I realized this was NOT going to be fast so I turned on my timer) before an employee comes out and says, "Does anyone need to be added to the wait list"? I had been waiting but had three other persons get in front of me. I pointed out that he had seen me waiting long before any of them had arrived which he acknowledged with it will "still be about a 40 minute wait". I asked about the appointment call from Assurion, "Sorry, no reserves". After all this... Guess What.... they don't even sell the cable. That or it's not in stock and Assurion "Can't" send one. I was not very nice at this point and said, "NO, not CAN't... WON't!". Call manager, "We really do appreciate your business, is there anything else I can help you with"? REALLY? No thanks read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS AT&T!! I don't normally write reviews, but my experience was so awful that I felt compelled to warn everyone. Switching from GCI to AT&T took +9 HOURS over the course of 4 days, 5 visits, and even a visit to a different AT&T out-of-state while on a business trip. This store lied to us about current promotions; they messed up switching us over so calls/texts/voicemail suddenly stopped working; they changed one of our phone numbers to an out-of-state phone number without telling us and against our requests; they didn't listen to us about who should be listed as authorized users; they were either lying or stupid when they told us that the "URGENT" AT&T text messages we were all being bombarded with were unimportant, to ignore it, and that they will eventually stop; on day 4, one of the phones stopped sending/receiving phone calls for a few hours, and then suddenly started working again after shutting it off and on multiple times; they put in the wrong phone ID when programming the SIM cards; they stayed mostly in the back, and checked on us a few times with an endless list of excuses as to why this was taking so long; they knew one of the phones was an older Samsung, but failed to verify the contacts weren't saved on the SIM card prior to disposing it - that user lost ALL of her contacts.
