Lo and behold I drive up and see a sign "we fix cellphones." I thought "no way!" I strolled on in. Chris had a smile on his face and said "Hello how can I help you?" I told him the situation. He let me know he was about to close up, but he knew the phone model really well. He thought he could fix it in a half an hour. I gave him my number and told him I was having dinner at Chinese Kitchen. I kept looking at my phone so I wouldn't miss his call. A half hour went by - nothing. Then I look up and there he is standing at the counter. "Sorry, but I tried calling and your phone went to vm." WOW - really?! Instead of just leaving because he couldn't get in touch with me- he came up to let me know it was done. WOW! I don't mean to make such a big deal about that, but it seems in this day and age most people aren't willing to go above and beyond. Well, Chris did! Awesome customer service and very knowledgeable. He was very knowledgeable and when the transfer didn't work out he had a Plan B ready to go. Being a Saturday, the store got very busy. He and the other employee handled everyone with efficiency. I was told a card had to be ordered and would take 1-2 weeks. Time went by, and I stopped in several times. Long story short, my phone is still not unlocked and I'm out my $100. The owner kept putting me off and asking for more time, which i gave him, because what else could I do? He kept offering alternative solutions to unlocking my phone, because obviously whatever he was currently trying wasn't working. I asked for my money back after about two months of this, and he asked for my receipt. I explained I had filled out a receipt with my information but had paid in cash and not received a receipt from the cash register. He went on about how I couldn't get a refund because I didn't have a receipt. I went back another day when another employee was working (an employee that liked me) and went through the recept book and found both copies of mine (white and pink). He had never given me mine (I obviously took mine). I filed a complaint with the mall about Cellphonia, but I was told, while they can talk to the owner and encourage him to refund me, they cannot force him to do anything.
