I made a appointment over the phone for 3 pm at the store on California Ave. we went in and tried to sign in but there was no record of our appointment. We waited about 15 minutes before a nice young man contacted us, he couldn't answer many of our questions it was frustrating I felt he was new at sales we thanked him. We then went to another smaller Verizon store and were disappointed there was only one poor salesperson she had many customers she was doing her best but she didn't have time to help everyone I felt sorry for her. The other salesperson had just left for lunch. We thanked her for her limited help and left after about 45 minutes. We came home and will give it another try tomorrow. Verizon is our carrier and we like their coverage but finding a store that has the proper staffing and knowledgeable sales people to help us buy another phone has been a challenge. Well, I walked in and was greeted so nicely and upbeat. I like that a lot. And there were several…read morestaff on the floor; all appeared to be happy to be there. Karl helped me right away; I did walk in and a line appeared behind me. That didn't rattle anyone and no groans. The staff still addressed the customers with them while greeting each new person through the door. That was a quite a feat. And boy did the line dissipate in just a couple minutes. There were also benches (soft padded seats) for customers to wait more comfortably than standing. Well, back to my personal experience ... Karl was timely, knowledgeable, and just made the walk-in experience the best it could be. He did all I asked and gave me clear answers while not long winded, yet not too brief. Girl with pokemon nails barely looked at my phone, just gave me her tablet and made me fill out the online Assurant insurance form. I did so and towards the end it showed a balance of ~$100 if i got approved. Got the email today of the approval but it says phone upgrade, I did not want an upgrade I just wanted an equal replacement. The link on the email i got didnt even work, so i headed over to the California branch and doors were locked past 11am, sat in my car for a bit to see if they would open it but they didn't so I went to the location on Ming. I was unable to reverse the Upgraded insurance claim, and I had to pay the ~$100 difference. The girl at the California location did not inform me about anything, did not look at my phone at all, just gave me a form I could've done at home with the WRONG information. Incredibly frustrated. Wasted my time and the other t-mobile representative who used his personal phone to let me call Assurant to figure out what the hell I signed up for and what kind of "upgrade" I got, which seems to be just the exact same phone I'm trying to replace. It's obvious this locations workers don't care at all.

I showed up for a "scheduled" appointment with no real expectations and left with more questions than answers. In the entire time I was there, not one employee acknowledged me. Nobody asked whether I had an appointment or what I needed. At one point I started handling the display products just to see if anyone would react. And yet, I still got nothing. For a store that presents itself as the corporate office and flagship location for the city, that's a remarkable level of indifference. If this is the standard here, I'd steer clear. It almost convinces me to take my business to another telecom company. I may just consider it at this point.
