Not sure if I cared too much for their in person services. It got the job done. I actually had to do a lot of the programming via the Apple support. The price is good as I've been with version for a long time. The people in person were nice but one would hope that in person the costs would be better or be able to engage in more price savings. O Time for me to get a new phone, my family has been after me for a couple years, they call my phone the potato. I made a appointment over the phone for 3 pm at the store on California Ave. we went in and tried to sign in but there was no record of our appointment. We waited about 15 minutes before a nice young man contacted us, he couldn't answer many of our questions it was frustrating I felt he was new at sales we thanked him. We then went to another smaller Verizon store and were disappointed there was only one poor salesperson she had many customers she was doing her best but she didn't have time to help everyone I felt sorry for her. The other salesperson had just left for lunch. We thanked her for her limited help and left after about 45 minutes. We came home and will give it another try tomorrow. Verizon is our carrier and we like their coverage but finding a store that has the proper staffing and knowledgeable sales people to help us buy another phone has been a challenge. Had one of the best retail experiences of my life here - I ordered new phones online for pick up, and upon activation I experienced what turned out to be a pretty technical issue. I grabbed the nearest employee who happened to be The GM of this store. Instead of brushing me off or passing me along to an associate, Angel started digging into my case personally. Ultimately we spent a little an over an hour dealing with an issue that Verizon corporate had. Angel was completely competent with what he could do, and stood up to bat against Verizon corporate on the phone to give me the service I needed. In this day and age it's not easy to get a good employee who cares and will go the extra mile - but Angel killed it. Utmost respect and love for this store! read more

The check in process is easy and you are told how many people are ahead of you. I completed a trade in which went relatively smoothly. The staff is friendly enough and the store clean and organized. When I was there, there was drama with another client. The lady was belligerent and had a "service dog" in there with her. The manager was trying to help but the lady was asking for some ridiculous things. It got pretty crazy and if I was the manager, I would've thrown her out as the lady was making everyone in the store visibly uncomfortable. I would also like to note the music in there is TOO loud! We were lucky enough to get an employee named Steven. He was very professional, very knowledgeable and resourceful of offering us different products. He was able to distinguish our old rate plan versus our new rate plan when deciding to do an upgrade. He Explained the bill in detail, and what to be expecting going forward and I'm overall was just a very pleasant experience. Very professional very ethical. We came here once before an hour before closing and they had already closed...bummer! I guess their hours were on the "official" Verizon page, not the Google search we used. We finally made it back at a time when they're open and they are trying (maybe a little too hard) to follow social distancing restrictions. Everyone must wait outside in a line (luckily when we arrived, the line was in the shade, so plan your visit accordingly!) and be checked in by an employee while waiting outside until your turn. Once it is your turn, ONLY ONE PERSON from your party is allowed inside. This wasn't going to work for our needs during this particular visit, so the employee conducted the interaction outside--in front of basically everyone else in line. It was very uncomfortable and I feel like it was a breech of our privacy honestly. Usually when we come here, Dan helps us and has been PHENOMENAL in the past. I understand COVID stuff was going on during this time, but the privacy concern was a little much for me. 7/10 will return only cuz Dan has always treated us well! read more

Not helpful. Went to two locations, this one had a crazy long wait and said they couldn't actually see us long enough to even do an upgrade and could only help us if we had an actual appointment. Then went to another nearby location for them to say unless we are paying a bill or had an appointment, they couldn't help us either. So we just went home, talked to Verizon on the phone and they immediately started the process for an upgrade and shipped us out phones. Recently I had to switch providers due to moving to a side of town where ATT did not worked. After checking around my best option was Verizon, I have a bit better service, but one of the reasons we went with Verizon was the " FREE NFL ticket" well we've been waiting and waisting time on phone calls and trips to Verizon and they have not been able to help. They said that they would "escalate" my problem and after 5 business days I called and they said that it would take 10 days for me to get an answer. If that is "escalating" a problem I can only imagen when it's just a normal request. Needless to say I do NOT recommend Verizon at all. By the time I finally get this NFL ticket the season will be halfway over. read more

My wife and I finally left my dad's account and we decided to port to AT&T. It all went smoothly with the exception of the remaining balance of my wife's phone. We made it perfectly clear on three separate phone calls to Verizon's customer service that my wife's phone was staying on the account and the monthly payments would continue as usual on my brother's number. Well, none of the representatives we spoke with actually did anything about it and after we ported to AT&T my dad's credit card got hit for an extra $500. Here's where my 1-Star rating for this location comes in. We stopped by the Verizon location on California Ave. to make sure that that was actually what the extra charge was for and to see if there was anything we could do about it instead of sitting pretty with a surprise $500 charge the week before Christmas. We didn't wait long to be attended, which was nice. Joana, the Solutions Specialist came over. But when we explained that we had called several times to tell Verizon that the phone with an outstanding balance would be staying on the account and we were charged the balance anyway she said that we should've called a fourth time "to make sure" and that it's not Verizon's fault. I expressed my opinion that Verizon's customer service has gone downhill dramatically over the years and that I think it has a lot to do with Verizon contracting their customer service to third parties. I used Assurion as an example. I have NEVER had a good experience with Assurion. I told her that the last time I tried to make a claim through Assurion was when my wife cracked her screen. We just needed to replace the screen, but they wouldn't do it. Instead they wanted us to pay $300+ for a refurbished replacement phone. I canceled the insurance and got the screen replaced the same day for $80 at the Valley Plaza Mall. I told Joana that not that long ago Verizon handled it all in house. I have gone into a Verizon store and left with a new replacement before. When I told her that she literally said, "That can't be true." In one conversation Joana, the Solutions Specialist, left it very clear that three calls to customer service was not enough to get something done, and she called me a liar straight to my face. All while never offering any solution to the subject at hand. Now my dad's following me to AT&T after two decades as a Verizon customer. I walked in the store with my father so we can look into upgrading and was told "someone would help me soon" I walked around and waited patiently and after about an hour, I noticed the reps were helping 2 people who had walked in after I did! I decided to ask someone up front how does one get helped? She said they take your name and look for you when a rep is available, very calmly I told her no one took my name and I've been waiting and have been passed up 2x. I asked for the manager at this point, i then asked the manager what the process was when one walks in (as I already knew all this from past visits), I explained what happened when I walked in and how a rep told me "someone would help me soon" and she replied with the rep who told me i would be helped is new! I then had 2 people talking at the same time (the manager & a rep), then I was told I wouldn't be helped because of my attitude! I told Rosa the manager I didn't raise my voice or make a seen I simply asked about the process and how everyone's time is important, If she was going to deny me service and she said yes, no one is going to help you! Terrible service and no care for loyal 10yr plus customer! This location is good in my book. I ordered my new phone online and did a same day in-store pick up. I was told that I would receive an email when my order was ready. I never did receive the email, but since I was in the area I figured I'd go check and see since it had been a bit of time already. Sure enough, my order wasn't ready but the associate was quick to get it together for me Unfortunately, if you order online, they do not assist you in setting up your new phone. Fortunately, I was welcomed to use the wi-fi and set it up myself in store as I needed to switch my old phone to a new line. Additionally, they were extremely helpful in finding a case that fit my needs. So I used to like this Verizon store but the last two times have been disappointing. The first time they didn't have the phone I wanted although they had it on display the second time they didn't have the watch I wanted both time I was able to eventually get the items. However the most frustrating part was that they sold me a package for my watch but did not tell me that the charger that came in the package has a new type of connection that doesn't work with existing plugs but instead only works with a new mac or a new iPad. So now I have a charger for my watch that I can't use and since I've used the other parts of the package I'm pretty sure I'm stuck with it. Even if I can return it, it's one more step. If I could give zero stars I would. I went into the Stockdale location to pay an overdue bill and the gentleman let me know I would have to go to corporate. So I came here to their California avenue location to pay this bill. I drove up and parked in a spot that had one of those signs that was for pick up. I didn't really think anything of it since there was only one other car in the parking lot and they had another pick up sign next to me. This lady with glasses and brown hair comes out and asks me to move and waves me along. I was frustrated to say the least since this was the second location I had to go to and I was already out of my car. I complied and moved my car. Then I went in and paid the bill with the same lady. She was extremely unfriendly and did not help with any of my questions. I wanted to set up an automatic payment and she told me to go online. I told her I don't have access to this account since this is my company's device and I'm paying with my company card. I also mentioned that my coworkers were all able to set up automatic payments when they went into other Verizon corporate locations. She said that she couldn't help me. COVID-19 has disrupted our way of life. However, every other retailer in town has either created work-arounds for their customers, or have closed their doors. Inexplicably, this corporate store remains "open". I put "open" in quotes because sure, there are employees there, but you can't go inside unless you have an appointment, which is not made known to you until you physically show up and are told this in a dismissive, flippant tone by one of the staff on site (Samantha, in my case. Very unpleasant to deal with). Just in case you don't already feel like your time and energy are wasted in being turned away for not making an appointment, you are also told that the store is currently not making appointments for any customers at this time. What? So I can't come in because I don't have an appointment, but I also can't make an appointment?? Why even be open? But, this store never fails to make your experience go from bad to absolutely horrific to the point of ripping your hair out...so, as a consolation prize, Samantha will tell you that she'll call corporate and complain for you. No need, Samantha!! I got that part covered. Congratulations to this store on being apathetic and unhelpful simultaneously! I'll be switching to AT&T in 2 months when I'm available for upgrade.
