I responded with the "confirm" prompt; however, frontier responded with a "cancellation" prompt. ‍ Red flag #2 - I called to notify them that I attempted to confirm my appointment via text but I received a cancellation notification. The representative told me not to worry because I still have an appointment for March 1st from 8am-12pm. As we waited, no one showed up so we called frontier at 12:05pm. They promised us that a technician would come to install between 1pm-5pm. NO ONE EVER SHOWED UP AGAIN. Red flag #3 - I received a text message the day AFTER my installation was scheduled to take place. A technician is now schedule to come March 2nd from 1pm-5pm. SAYS WHO? Who said that I will be available? When did the time change? How do I know that you will really show up THIS TIME? Red flag #4 - I called customer service to ask why the time keeps changing and the representative said they promise someone will show up the third time. Red flag #5 - I asked to speak to a manager because at this point I need someone to convince me that the actual service will be more reliable than the people. I was on hold 15 minutes. Believe he is the tech and owner. Seems like a bright guy and I love to support small businesses. Initial thought was a corrupt windows issue. $40 diagnostic. Issue was more complex. Ended up replacing the motherboard, cpu, fan, and upgrading the ssd. Total new money $730 of which I think $180. Not sure if it is a fair/good/great deal? Updated what was allowed today but system is requiring me to activate windows for which I was not given a key. Awaiting response via online chat as computer is not functional as is. Holding off on final review. *Received windows key quickly. All appears to be running. If this transaction concludes well I do have other projects to get down and love referring friends and family.
