I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience was extremely disappointing. I brought my hard drive in for data recovery and was initially told it would only take a short time. Instead, the process dragged on for months. During that time, I had to constantly reach out for updates because I was almost never contacted first. Between text messages and more than 20 phone calls, I was repeatedly given new completion dates that were never met. Almost every conversation ended with another reason for the delay--whether it was recovery errors, replacement chips, syncing devices, transfer issues, emergency closures, waiting on parts, or being told it would be finished "tomorrow," "in a few hours," or "in a couple more days." Unfortunately, those promises kept getting pushed back. I understand that data recovery is complex and that unexpected problems can happen. My frustration isn't that the recovery was difficult--it's the lack of honest communication and realistic expectations. If the job was going to take months, I would have appreciated being told that from the beginning instead of repeatedly hearing that it was almost finished. I spent months following up through texts and over 20 phone calls, often being told I'd receive a callback that never came. I even rearranged my schedule multiple times to pick up the drive, only to find out it still wasn't ready. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business. I called and they said the cost for the repair was $129.00, went in the same day they said it was $129 but they had to order the part. Waited several days, called, they said they had the part. Went in they said part was wrong color even though they said on the phone they had right color. Offered $20 off. I said okay. Went in to pay, they said part was $149 with $20 off was $129. I said the price I was quoted was $129. Man said they told me the wrong price twice. I paid over $130 plus tax, higher then the first two quoted prices and after the $20 "discount." I told her but where on the receipt does it say that. She tells me well the guy should have told you. I told her it should be on the paper not verbally told to the customer. Do not go to this place! I got my screen repaired they told me I had a 90 day warranty and three months later my screen was POPPING OFF the back ! I called and since this was screen damage they did not fix it for free when clearly they did something wrong... I went to Office Depot in the same shopping center and the guy told me there was NO screws holding my screen to the back of the phone ...why they would not screw the main six screws of the screen onto the back of the phone is unbelievable I guess it was a scam to get me to come back and pay an absurd amount of money again. Spoke to the owner and she seemed helpful, except when I took it back for a third time the technician actually placed my iPad screen face down and I told him he was going to scratch he screen.........well guess what the manager called me and said they could not replace my iPad screen due to scratches on screen. They said trey could charge me another $40 to fix screen on top of the original payment I already paid for a messed up screen to begin with. Needed a screen repaired. Part was shipped to the wrong place. 3 weeks later, they found the part. Young man, claiming to be manager/owner was very rude about the situation. We just wanted an assurance from him my tablet would be repaired. Fortunately, he gave us a refund. I know things happen and he could not be responsible for the mail, but he failed to realized that we are the customer and just wanted reassurance he would get the job done and call me when it was completed. They repeatedly told me, over the three weeks they had my device, it would be ready at a certain time. I had to go in several times to get them to realize the part was at another store. I paid them to begin with placing my trust in them only for them to reciprocate with a rude and petulant response. Wow would never come to this place again. I needed to get my daughter's iPhone screen fixed and downloaded the Yelp coupon before coming in. When I came in I was told that it would only take 25 minutes to repair. When they found out that I was using a Yelp coupon they said that I would have to wait until the next day because a manager was not available to log in to their Yelp and redeem the payment. They said that I should have brought it in and just asked them for the Yelp coupon and they would have honored it. I said that was fine and they could keep it until the following day. At 4:00 pm the following day I called and was told that it had not been fixed yet but that they would call me when it was done. I came in to the store 2 hours later and the employee was pretty rude. He told me that I shouldn't have bought the Yelp coupon because those orders just get pushed to the back because they don't make as much money off of them. I told him I would wait for them to fix it. He then went to the back and said that his tech actually had fixed it but the black screen they had didn't work and they didn't receive their shipment so all he could do was put a white screen. I took my Playstation on 11-25-16 due it being dropped and not working properly. It took four months (3-29-17) to finally get it back and it still was not fixed. The guy told me they had to order a part twice. First time was because the part was defective. After replacing the part with the second one, said it was something else and could not be repaired. It took four months for all of this!!! On top of that, I think the guy just damaged it in trying to repair it and tried to say it was something else. Also, there was no attempt at letting me know what was going on. I had to keep checking up on it even when I was told they would call me and let me know what was going on. The repair personnel have the skill level of a high schooler. They should not even try fixing something above an iPhone. Bottom line: DO NOT use Gadget MD. They are bottom feeders when it comes to repairing anything. I have to believe this business is a front for a low-level electronics repair school. read more

Got it fixed, a day later my screen blacked out and the guy wants to say it has to do with the mother board (which by the way is THERE fault because they messed with that) went back he fixed it again and says if it happens again then its too bad bc my warranty would be up. I had a LG and my screen blacked out randomly. I took it to this place and said they could fix for a trade for my old Galaxy. It worked for 2 hours and I took it back and they tried switching what they said and called a motherboard issue and could be fixed. They kept the warranty the second time tried stealing parts to my phone and kept my galaxy that a traded in for my LG. DO NOT GO HERE! These guys are a joke! I took my phone iPhone5 in, in mint condition to get new battery. They lost the original screws to hold the case in place, they replaced with one silver screw and didn't tell me they lost the black screws. I went in the next day and told them that it was missing the original screws and they denied it and said nothing they can do about it. Terrible service. To add insult to injury the "new" battery was suspect ie still not lasting long at all! So I decided to investigate a little further. I get some diagnostics done and my "new" battery from these guys already has 618 charge cycles on it, I've had it 4 days, so clearly NOT who's charged it 618 times. And the capacity of the battery to actually take a charge was 900 on a battery designed for 1430. Just over half battery life on a "new" battery from these guys??? They are crooks! I would never come to this place again. I needed a new port for my cellphone because it wasn't charging right. THey told me they needed to ordered and it would take around a week to get it.. I called 10 days later and they told me that the part got in but they I GAVE A WRONG PHONE NUMBER? seriously? I got there left my cellphone and the girl told me to pick it up in one hour which I did.. when I got there one more time she tells me they haven't opened yet because the screen had a small crack in a corner and they needed my permission to be able to do so and they had no way to contact me because that was my only number HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT EMAILS PEOPLE?? so I say ok, and ask how long will it take this time.. she said less than an hour.. So I decided to stay because it was going to take me longer to go back home and come back.. 30 minutes..1 hour, 1 hour and half.. I stayed there until freaking 7 pm! and still got no cellphone fix.
