Maybe, if you're working with Travvon, this store isn't so bad. But, if you're working with Eric? Might as well go to another phone company. I have my brother-in-law on my family plan. Just for background, he's a super-respectful and courteous kid who has recently decided to upgrade his phone. My plan was just to go so that I could be with him if he had any questions or needed help. I rarely ever need to step in during times like that. The store was empty when we walked in at 3:00 PM. While you read this, understand that I mean it was completely empty: zero customers OR staff. We waited a minute before we, unfortunately, met Eric. At this point, I'd like to take a second to address Eric, in case he reads this: Hey man, what the hell do they got you doing in that back room that has you coming to the front like you were just tasked with running a marathon to get to the front area? For a store with no customers, Eric sure seemed exhausted from every single action: looking up our account, figuring out what the cost of the upgrade would be, discussing what we would get for our turn-in, etc. He was apparently too exhausted to treat my wife, my brother-in-law, or myself with any respect or common courtesy. How is spitting out two-to-three sentences enough work to break your spirit and need to take a mental break? My brother-in-law decided on his new phone and Eric went to the back to the arena to get the new phone. He came back, took the payment for the taxes, and sent us on our way. Except, the phone wasn't set up, and my brother-in-law needed help setting it up. We went back in and met Travvon (I might be spelling his name wrong) and got the help/customer service experience we were looking to get. He was great, offering help and conversation making us feel more at ease. I'm not saying don't go to this store. I'm just saying that it's worth it, if you go, to treat your time as if it's irreplaceable and valuable, so much so that you won't waste it with Eric. read more

I originally came in to upgrade to Firstnet and while being assisted by the manager, Eliazar Ramirez (Ej), he informed me of a promotion for a free Apple Watch SE or a $300 credit towards an Apple Watch Ultra with service. What he failed to inform me of though was that the promotion was no longer available as of 2 months ago in California . About 3 weeks later and too many phone calls with ATT customer service, I was finally able to cancel the installment plan for a full price Apple Watch Ultra I did not even receive. If I could use urban dictionary to describe MARVIN this post wouldnt be here. Marvin lied. Dont TRUST MARVIN. I called AT&T and they already made a report against MARVIN. MARVIN told me I needed to pay for next up, insurance, premium, and to listen to him. He also tried to scam me by saying I needed to cancel the number in two weeks but the lady on the phone from AT&T said 3 days. He attempted (but failed) to make me pay for two lines for the next 3 months when I was trying to only purchase one line. MARVIN also claimed that he had microphones and everything is recorded and I just wanted to laugh because MARVIN lied on these "recordings". I hope MARVIN learns that he shouldnt lie. But went to another store and my phone was cheaper, faster than MARVINS customer service, and didnt have to be lied to. If you want a phone dont look for MARVIN. read more

They refuse to acknowledge the fact that I have an open ticket for a lost in transit or stolen merchandise. They won't replace the merchandise or give me my money back it's been 30 days every time I come into the store or make a call to customer service they run me in circles for 2 hours minimum. They've lied to me numerous times PLEASE DO NOT DEAL WITH ATT !!! They are a complete joke and a waste of time and the service isn't really that good. (All I needed help with was trying to get all my texts on my new phone with AT& T) George who claims to be manager was so unprofessional. He did not listen to me he over talk to me and he interrupted me. He was getting extremely angry at me. He told me I wasn't listening.... Keep in mind all I was not getting all my texts. I tried to show him on my old phone I tried to explain to him I tried ... He got so angry at me after interrupting getting loud and he told me he wasn't going to help me. You didn't even look at my phone in the settings... So we both sat there and somewhat silence for a few seconds.... I was trying to figure out what kind of obnoxious pig would gice this kind of service. He's downright mean rude and inconsiderate. He even told me to go to Santee corporate office that he was only there to sell phones. He said it wasn't his job to help or give any customer service. I told him when I left the store I was going to write a Yelp review and he said he didn't care... Do not go here, the heavier set salesman is misleading and un honest and the manager supports this style of selling. I have tried to get a hold of upper management for over 4 months and they refuse to get anyone in contact. She was very courteous, friendly, and a sociable person, I didn't notice the time it took for the phone to download all the newest settings! The staff at this location are always super helpful and knowledgeable. I tried dealing with AT&T customer service over the phone, but their phone reps always seem to be extremely incompetent no matter how many of them you talk to. To start off my day, my phone broke, apparently it was a system issue and Apple wasn't going to be able to cover it due to being an iPhone 7 Plus and the warranty had expired. I was really looking to see if I could upgrade, Ive had soo many problems every time I upgrade and I hate it. However, Rayvn attended me and was able to get me into a new iPhone with out any problem. Tanis explained a great deal to me and that was very helpful as I had talked with two other customer service reps on the customer service line and they weren't able to answer all my questions although they were very polite. Tanis explained that he had taken classes to understand the phone systems better thus able to help me to understand why I was having issues. Let me go ahead & rewrite this review. Apparently my review was deleted due to it "falling out of Yelp content guidelines" & lack of "not providing enough detail about my customer service". So rewriting about this place is well worth another 5 minutes of my time. We came here on 2/14/16. Yes Valentine's Day. Decided to get each other some phones before we head out to get ready for dinner. Mind you, it was like a little after noon when we went in. We didn't leave till almost 6ish. The sole reason for that is, how incompetent our customer rep was and probably still is. I cannot remember her name but she was a young, Caucasian woman with mostly shaved hair with tattoos and piercings. We were trying to be very understanding and waited patiently until we couldn't anymore. She seemed really nice but a little distracted because she just talked about her & her gf had broken up. She kept making excuses as to why she couldn't port over our phones so that we could get the promotion and deals for signing up as new customers. She had to keep calling different people to assist her in what seemed to be the impossible. I'm not sure if this makes things worse, she was a manager. End of it all, we walked out with only one phone after 5 hours and all she could say was sorry & that she would call me when she was able to get the other # ported. Which she NEVER did. The next day, we went to ATT at grossmont. We had the manager at the store and he was FAN-EFFING-TASTIC. PROFESSIONAL, knew what he was doing & got us out of there with everything we ever wanted plus more in less than 2. It probably could've been hour but he spent the first hour just trying to undo the crap she did to our account. read more

I came to this location recently to get an upgrade. I wasnt quite sure what I wanted to upgrade to but thankfully the manager savanna was in to help. She told me the functions of several different phones and out up with my indecisiveness for over an hour. The actual upgrade was quick and she was super friendly the whole time, you can really tell she loves her job and knows how to take care of a customer. So went in here to get my numbers switched over from cricket and add the new unlimited plan and a hotspot, I had to port 2 numbers (and the dude in charge tried to tell me att didn't even have hotspots, learn your products from the whole company dude) Well Chase went ahead and moved my numbers and canceled my cricket account and then was like oh yea you need to go to cricket to unlock the phone. Cricket takes 2 days to do this just FYI which is bogus since AT&T owns them but whatever. Also couldn't get the hotspot here that's only at "corporate stores" and he didn't even bother telling me that until my numbers were ported. Now, 2 days later my Phones are unlocked and I put them SIM card in just as the dude said expecting the phone to work. It didn't. Call at&t and now they are saying my account is a pre-paid plan?!?! Are you serious, oh and the SIM card isn't my number it's a San Diego number all of a sudden. So now I have a hotspot that I'm not sure where the bill for that is going and an account I can't even get into because it isn't even showing up under my email address when I tried to reset my passwords and login there is nothing there. Fan. Freakin. Tastic. Do the people at the non-corporate stores even get training or just a tshirt and an iPad? Absolute nonsense.
