I was looking into ATT U-Verse service online and wanted to see if the store had any additional incentives they could offer that may differ from the web. When I initially called I got Nick on the phone, he told me that they do offer U-Verse in the store and that they could match or beat anything that was available online. I went into the store later that afternoon with my two boys and Nick was there to help me out. I told him what I was looking to get, and he suggested different options to ensure I would be getting exactly what I wanted. Everything we saw online, he matched without a problem. Nick was very patient with me as I was letting my other little boy (1) stretch his legs and explore around a little and I had to excuse myself to loop him back around to keep close by, he even told me that my other kiddo could play the games on their display iPad's. Ultimately we got everything signed up, but the next available install wasn't for another two weeks. The kiddo's were ready to go and there as nothing else we could do at that time regarding the late install date, yet Nick told me that he will make a call to see if they can expedite it at all. Nick told got in touch with me a short time after i left and told me that changes couldn't be made within 24 hours of set up, and that he will try again the next day, and asked what time of day I would prefer. The customer service we received today was something that you can't get online, or over the phone. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere! In an effort to save time, I upgraded my phone online and arranged it for pick up. I got to the store around 10:30 this morning, picked up my phone, and returned home to do the transfer. After 3 attempts, I couldn't get the phone to transfer and neither of the phones had service. I went back to this location, which is about 20-25 minutes away and It took an hour and a half for the sales associate to realize that I was given the wrong phone and that is why it could not be activated or transferred. Whoever processed my order the night before bagged up my order, attached my receipt, and yet today's associates completely missed it and was trying to activate a phone that didn't belong to my order. At no point did anyone confirm if the SIM cards matched the order nor did they scan the phone to begin with. Even after that fiasco, it took another hour to transfer everything and at no point in the 2.5 hours did a manager step in to try to assist or even offer an apology for the crazy long wait. This location is full of young employees and incompetent leadership. There's a real lacking of understanding when it comes to customer service. Next time, I'll drive to Vacaville. read more

They sold me a phone with a contract that I agreed to which was trade in my old I phone and they give me $30 credited on my new I phone it was sopost to be $1100 total for my old phone, the whole term of the new contract and a couple months was fine, then my bill went up almost $100 when I call then said that offer has expired. I said I didn't understand that is sopost to be $30 off for the next couple years to total the amount of $1100 for my trade in and they said sorry it expired and then they said that all my phone lines I have, 5 total went up because of the new changes. Sales person Wilson seemed to know what he was doing when we bought a new phone along with switching Directv service to streaming. Order and subsequent billings, along with wrong equipment being shipped were completely screwed up with multiple features added to phone that were never requested. Auto pay not properly set up. Never mentioned that DirecTv was no longer affiliated with AT&T or that we would have separate accounts. When we went back to store to go over the discrepancies, Wilson was there but he and the other staff on hand had us sit around for an hour and then told us Wilson was nowhere to be found. No supervisor on hand. Getting the bill straightened out over the phone was another hassle. Would not recommend this store or AT&T customer service at all. read more

We walked in there with one staff working, he was helping a couple. After spending about 15 minutes browsing at their accessories, still no acknowledgment and I literally stared at him so he could at least see us. We already bought a $1400 iPhone online thru AT&T and just went in there for a case. He could have just rung us up quickly instead of just ignored us the whole time. The staff did not care and so is the employer. He was set up for a failure leaving him working by himself. I would love to know how can one authentic an account when the account holder is dead? We have our AT&T account tethered to our DirecTV account for convenience purposes and we had the premium insurance to boot. The DirecTV people are fine but dealing with ATT is a bloody nightmare. Our machines are having intermittent connection problems with the WiFi, and every time we call to complain about it, (about 4 times a year) they just give us a new box and the technician guy just obsconts. They don't even check to see if our devices are working or not. Location: AT&T, Solano County Mall, second floor, Fairfield, CA I have been with AT&T since 2007 and have never had "bad customer service". This is an authorized vendor Blue Wave Link Wireless and they don't know the ATT products. The staff made me feel as if I was hassling when I purposely came in for a new phone. I won't leave AT&T but wont use the vendor anymore for my AT&T Products. Advice go into a real AT&T store or order online directly from Apple or AT&T. Yesterday I purchased an iPhone 15 Pro. Arnel (I think that was his name) presentation was incorrect. He told me I would get $800 back on my iphone 11 and also I had to take insurance. The insurance can be canceled within 14 days. I believed him because I thought he knew the product promotion for the phones he sale. When they transferred info from the old to the new, the transfer was not successful. Rather than troubleshoot, The manger, told me that he had to go home because he had been there since 8am or he was going to get in trouble. What manager tells a customer that info. None of these employees know how to troubleshoot a phone issue. They would rather spend time to with new customer but after the transfer data and it is a problem, they ignored me. I came home and finished setting up my phone and troubleshooting. The staff needs to Apple training. Unfortunately, after they pissed me off, I came home and did my due diligence that is how I know the presentation was a lie. They are pushing out new phones and ignoring customer service issues. If the job is not successful, they tell you that and then ignore helping you (or finishing the job). Advice if you use this store: l. due your research on the product and product offers before you purchase because they lie in order to make a sale. 2. File a complain with the real AT&T Loyalty department. Loyalty department in this case will file a complaint for training and coaching staff in the store in Fairfield, CA specifically. I walked in tonight to change out my screen protector because it was cracked and this lady who was helping another customer didn't even bother to to acknowledge my presence. Thankfully another person came out and assisted me, but was unfortunately unable to on my end. I was able to get what I needed and came back, but the person originally helping me was helping someone else so now it was just me and the first lady. She ended up telling me something different from the first person helping me and we both ended up deciding I would wait for the original person after she pretended she couldn't do anything, only to find out she's the "manager who knew the rules" and had me wait almost ten minutes just to leave without what I needed. If she was the "manager" like she proclaimed, she should have handled this situation better and not have her employee address me. She wanted the iPhone 11 in red and it wasn't available in store the representative said they were going to ship it to her. Fast forward 2 weeks and the phone still hasn't been shipped according to the AT&T order status online. Been having trouble rectifying a mistake and spending hours on chat room (Twice) so I could print out their responses. I was promised NO CHANGE in my ATT Plan when I bought and financed a new iPhone 7 Plus in November. Well, they did change my plan to something so ridiculous I would laugh if I didn't cry. I didn't notice at first because the bill was what I expected, but when I tried to get voice mail, I found out that this, too, was excluded in the "new plan" that I was promised would not happen. 300 MB data!!! Went to AT&T today to transfer my grandma's line of service to my family plan. The set-up of the store has completely changed. There used to be a counter in the center with all the registers and that's where the reps assisted you. Now there are about four tall circular tables in the store, each with 3 stools. All of the reps walk around with iPads now; seems like AT&T is trying to model itself after Apple stores. When you walk into the store you are greeted by a sales rep who puts your name in the queue, and then when it's your turn, a rep approaches you and escorts you to a table. Today I was assisted by Mark, a nice young man who was very helpful with the transfer process. He was conversational, but not overly talkative, which some reps are. I had the best experience this past weekend at this att store. My family went there to buy my husband a new phone. Our customer rep, Sergio was so nice and he didn't try to push expensive products on us which we thought was so rare in a sales environment. He recommended products that would work for us. The store manager, Lawrence, was amazing, he worked with us after we asked about the att uverse service. He dealt with Comcast (because we were still in contract with them) he gave us all of our options without being pushy and we came out with cable/Internet service that costs much less than what we pay now, but gives us many more features! Sergio and Lawrence both went above and beyond to ensure we got the most for our money. I definitely recommend this store to anyone who appreciates honest, hardworking individuals in a sales situation. read more

I purchased two phones over the phone with AT&T and they did not informed me of all the information that came along with the promotion. Instead of getting a deal, the promotion increased my billing of almost $100 a month. Not one time it was mentioned to me that it will increase my billing. So I called back the very next day to cancel my phone order. Long story short, I was dealing with AT&T customer service over the phone for 3 WEEKS straight to get my phone canceled and fees refunded. I called to follow up almost everyday and having to talk to multiple people and explaining my story/issue to them a million times, and even went into an AT&T store (different location)to talk to someone, and still not one single customer servicer or associate can help. They just gave me the runaround. Some were even condescending, blaming me for canceling and returning my phone. I was so fed up and very frustrated with AT&T's customer service. So last weekend I just happened to be at the mall, saw an AT&T store, and decided to just give it another try. I walked in and was quickly greeted by Ryan. And hallelujah!! Ryan and the manager Miller were my savior. They went above and beyond to help me with my problem. They provided EXCELLENT customer service, right when I was so fed up with AT&T. With 3 weeks of dealing with multiple customer servicer and even went to talk to an associate at different AT&T store, Ryan and Miller were able to help solve my problem within an hour. I even got my new phone that day. My most valuable lesson from all this, is to never purchase a phone or services over the phone. Always go into a AT&T store to do business and have them provide all the information. And this AT&T store location in the Fairfield Mall, is by far, provided me the best customer service. This store doesn't even deserve one star. BF went in on Saturday 11/4 to upgrade his iPhone 6 to iPhone 8. There were complications with both sales rep and bf with the color GOLD. BF wanted to exchange the gold for a silver, so I went with him on Sunday 11/5. Keep in mind, it's been less than 24 hours since BF got the phone. The assistant manager, Brian Galli, who greeted us with an awful attitude, cut me off because he heard about our situation and told us he could exchange it but they were going to charge a restocking fee of $45. What fee?? The sales rep never told us that. Well, SURPRISE. Galli stated (verbatim): "It's your fault for not reading the receipt [...] It's not the sale rep's obligation to notify the customer of the restocking fee at the time of the purchase." Really?! Well, let's have HR and HQ read that and see if they back him up. All in all, our experience was horrifying. Instead of taking responsibility, the manager said it was the customer's fault for not knowing. It's unbelievably appalling to this day as I write this review. It makes no sense to me that a corporate store would have a person like that representing the company. read more

Christina Shnoudi saved my life. I was having trouble with my IPhone X which kept saying invalid SIM card. After dealing with Apple and AT&T by phone, I was sent a new SIM card. Fearing I would lose everything on my phone, I made an appointment with the Fairfield store and was fortunate enough to get Christina to help me. She was so kind and considerate and helped me by replacing my SIM card at no charge.....transferring everything intact. Whew! If you ever need help, I highly suggest Christina!!! read more

This is an abbreviated story of my experience with ATT/Direct TV from 10 Sept to Present. I have a 7 page detail document of every phone call, service call, etc ... if you're interested. You can reach me at peter.gaudet@gmail.com From 10 to 19 Sept 17 I would get ERROR CODE 775 was on all my TV's for long periods of time. After 4 phone calls to customer service and waiting on the phone for a total of 5+ hrs (combined total) I had no choice but to sign up for the 6 month Service Protection Plan @ $7.99/month in order to have a technician come to my home. Appointment set for 26 September between 12-4 PM. On Tuesday, 26 September the Direct TV technician came to the home. The extent of his diagnosing the problem was jiggled a few wires. The television came on and he assessed it was a loose connection, though I had previously made sure all connections were secure & tight. There was no other diagnostics performed. That evening I again received the error code 775 on all our televisions. Call the following morning and was set up with the next available Tier 2 service call for 29 September between the hours of 12-4 PM. (Case pin #2161) 29 September the Tier 2 technician (Michael) arrived. The technician undid the cable to the server. He said the cooper connection was warm and blacken. He spliced a new connection to the cable and went outside and checked the cables in the exterior AT&T box. The television came back on. The technician noticed the satellite was not installed properly and added a supporting bracket to bring the satellite installation to code. From 30 September to 24 October, I would get brief periods (3-5 seconds) where the television would give the error code messages of 771 & 775. On 24 October Direct TV did not function & I again received the error code 775 on all our televisions. I called Joe @ the case management number (800-442-1635) I was given and was scheduled for another Tier 2 technician service call with a supervisor for Friday, 27 October between 12-4 PM. (Case pin #2259) On 27 October, Friday I arrived home before the scheduled arrival of the technician. I turned on the TV to find it working. The Tier 2 technician (Michael) & supervisor arrived. Since the TV was working, no diagnosis was done and they left. On 28 October, Saturday during the game 4 of the World Series, 9th inning with the bases loaded (I'm serious) I again received the error code 775 on all our televisions. I again called the case management number (800-442-1635) and was now scheduled for a Tier 3 technician service call for Tuesday, 31 October between 12-4 PM which was the earliest they could come out. (Case pin #2262) NOTE: Missed game 5 of the World Series ... which every sports writer I've read said was the best World Series game ever played. On 31 October, Tuesday I arrived home at noon to await the service call. The technician did not come until 4:45 PM outside the GUARANTEED noon to 4 PM service appointment time. This technician was methodical and was actually performing diagnostics on all the equipment. Problem identified & fixed, but because of the late arrival, I missed taking my 2 year old grandson out trick-or-treating. The next day I called Direct TV customer service to see how I could communicate my Direct TV experience and seek reasonable compensation. After talking with several agents, I was eventually connected to Justin with the Direct TV Loyalty office (877-999-1083). He asked what I thought was a fair compensation and I replied: 1. Compensate the cost of taking vacation PTO for the 1st. 2nd & 3rd service calls that did not resolve the issue. I provided my hourly wage and it figured to be $747.45. [3 day - 5 hours each day of vacation time taken @ my hourly wage of $49.83 (3 x 5 x $49.83 = $747.45)] ... OR ... I believe one year of free Direct TV - Premium Package would be fair & reasonable compensation. 2. Also, not meeting the GUARANTEED technician arrival time of 12-4 PM on 31 October 2017 and missing taking my grandsons treat-or-treating evening should have some merit. Justin said he could not authorized that and would pass the request to higher headquarters. Justin provided me with the reference number #1-215691358144 and informed me I should hear back from Direct TV management / higher headquarters within 7-10 days. Not hearing back after 10 days, I call on 16 November and was instructed to file my complaint via certified letter to the AT&T Corporate Office. Not hearing back for 2 MONTHS, I call Direct TV Loyalty office to inquire about my case #1-215691358144 on 26 January 2018. They informed me the case was still open. I used the 'Chat w/ATT' on 29 January 2018 and talked with Manilyn D. She too informed me she could do nothing. I think I can say with some confidence ... I being blown off by ATT / Direct TV. Went in to see about service after a move - was told it could only be done by phoning customer service. Basically Rosalie blew me off - couldn't be bothered. I ended up going to the ATT store in Vacaville and accomplished everything - arranged the service move, got the tv, phone and internet package at a reduced price. And DID NOT have to try to do it by phone. As others have stated, I'm giving the Fairfield store a one because I can't give it the zero it deserves.
