Ally at The AT&T store on Trop and Fort Apache is awesome. She greeted me immediately. She knew exactly what the issue was with my phone and took care of it in less than FIVE MINUTE! I have called customer service (not even kidding a little bit here) SIX TIMES and I've gotten six different answers. All of them wrong. Ally was right on the money. She even showed me a couple of other things I could do to block unwanted calls. in other words, she could have just sent me on my way, but she didn't. she is super professional, kind, and she has an excellent personality! i will go out of my way to go to the AT&T store the next time I have an issue or need to buy something instead of calling! I don't even know why this is an "AT&T" location, or why I keep coming here. They can never help me with ANYTHING. They are not a "corporate store". They are only a "authorized retailer". Basically if you want to buy something or phone accessories they have it, but if you need actual help with your account don't waste your time here, like they have always wasted mine. read more

He says there's a manager in the back in a meeting letting 4 customers sitting out here waiting while she's in a meeting !! Everyday when you come here there is only one poor guy all alone . Went in the day after Christmas for new phones. Just wanted to shout out Ashley for helping us. She was the only one scheduled to open (why would her managers EVER only schedule 1 person the first hour; when there was a line before the store even opened?) She did an amazing job dealing with extremely rude customers while still maintaining her composure, and helping the 2 different groups of people she was. read more

My phone got stolen. I went in to pay off my phone and replace it. They told me that because I had a great promo, it would be cheaper to pay the $11/month for the remaining 30 months and add another line for a new phone rather than just pay the phone off for $999 and get a new phone on the existing line/number. I asked how much additional for another line, but rather than giving the straight answer, they supposedly did math and compared my old monthly payment to my new monthly payment. I needed a phone right away, so I agreed. When I got home, checked my account online, and did the math, and it was not cheaper not paying off the stolen phone and getting a third line with a new phone. Also I saw they put the new line/number at a higher monthly plan than my other phones and signed me up for insurance without asking me. I immediately cancelled the insurance and and changed it to the lower monthly plan. I then paid off my stolen phone online, but I couldn't close the new additional phone line, so I had to call corporate AT&T. They cancelled the additional monthly plan for me. They also told me they would give me $500 off a new phone to replace my stolen phone on my original phone number. All I had to do now was wait for the new phone to be delivered, my number would move to that phone, then I could return the store-bought phone. When I went back to the store to return the phone, they said there was a $55 restocking fee, but if I called AT&T, they could do it for free and give me a shipping label. So I called and waited on hold, all to find out I have to return my phone to the store because they are not a real AT&T store, just an AT&T branded store. I'm sure the store person knew that, but they didn't want me complaining in front of the other customer signing up for a new phone when I was there. So now I have to go back a third time to the store and also pay $55. The lesson here is to always call AT&T if you want a new phone or line. This AT&T branded store tried to rip me off after I just got my phone stolen. I am glad all they are getting from me is $55. read more

Getting no sim error, worker claimed that I deleted esim information and it was my fault. I never touch settings or reset, just updated ios on iPhone to try to fix. I told him i tried to troubleshoot from info off internet, at & t site, he "responded, "do you believe everything you read on internet". I was dumbfounded and he should be fired. Absolutely the worst customer service there is. I needed to get my mother who is 88 yrs old another phone. She wanted to buy the phone cash and it would be added to my account as she is already on the account. But they said they could not. The phone needed to be added to my account for monthly payments. So ok no problem. Asked if we could see the phone before we purchased the phone. They said no, they cannot do this. Why have this store? There are 3 people working there, employe, asst manager and manager. Not one of them could provide any assistance. This is the worst customer service there is. I came in here to upgrade to the new iPhone. I was informed by the employee that I could get up to $1,000 towards the new iPhone 15 with a trade in of my paid off iPhone 11. I told them the back of the phone was cracked they said that that just means I'd get $800 instead. I agreed and got the new phone. They let me take my old one home to move everything over. When I came back it was now a different employee. He stated he could only do $300 as it's cracked on the back. I told him what the other employee told me and he said no my phones only worth $800 and do to the crack on the back it's now only $300. This is the second time this has happened to me at this location. When I got my iPhone 11 in 2019 the same thing happened I was told one price and when bringing my phone back after the transfer was told way less. I foolishly thought that after 4 years things would be different. I'm done going to this location and maybe once the phone and my Apple Watch are paid off I might be done with AT&T. read more

Hi We visited this location on April 09.2022 at 13:12 until 14:00 we visited this location for issuing for my business line. We had very unpleasant and unprofessional Only one person working on this location. He was helping to another gentleman before us. We were next Coustmer in line he informed us just be shortly with us. After 20 minutes we let him know why we are here. Third coustomer enter to the store. He couldn't fix the issue for first coustomer he decided make call too 800 number and he make long conversations on phone. Question: Why when coustomer is there you can pass the phone to coustomer and he or she can explains everything and all information they need it. After that 45 minute sitting there he start talking and processing with third coustomer after you us he enter to the store because he said he want buy new iPhones. Unbelievable coustomer service, how he can be so rude. You jumped for next one after us because there is commission for new phone. Being professional and respectful with all Coustomer's Time management, knowledge, Attentiveness, Willingness to Improve, problem-solving and communication there main problems with during the our visit with this location. Poor knowledge of ATT services (from a manager) stating the ATT support online doesn't know what they are doing. The manager charged me for a free service and did not provide anything. It turned out this person was wrong and att support was able to help. Sadly this person is employed by ATT and it seemed like watching a movie on the TV was more important then providing a quality service. read more

A colleague of mine and I stopped in to set up some pretty old AT&T hotspots for our job and we were more than pleased with the service we received. Meghan greeted us with a smile, readily listened to our issues and then took numerous approaches to help us get things resolved and up and running all the while smiling and making casual conversation with us. I usually dread visiting any sort of tech store as most of the time it takes hours with no resolution reached by the end. This experience definitely changed my perspective and if we need any assistance in the future, this location and Meghan will be who we visit! read more

Absolutely worse experience ever! Supervisor Meghan and employee Jordan are useless, unprofessional and should not be in this industry. Jordan switched our phone lines over to ATT, and told me I have 13 days if I want to still trade in my phones as a new customer and take advantage of their current offer. I come back within the 13 days- they send me now to their corporate store, went to their corporate store- they said no we don't do that. I went back , asked for a supervisor- Meghan is on her phone when we come in- no customer service skills whatsoever. She rudely said there is nothing I can do for you. Kept arguing when I was trying to explain that your employee told me this information and here I am after all this back and forth and you cannot even say I apologize??? Before my visit to the W Tropicana store I spoke with AT&T technical support team twice after my phone fell in water . The first caller tried to help me to no avail , he then informed me to go to walmart and pick up a new Sim Card . New Sim Card in hand I called tech support a 2nd time once I made it home . Though she was helpful and tried hard to find a solution , she could not figure out if the problem was with my new phone or the Sim Card ? She then reccomended that i take my phone to an AT&T store . I visited the Tropicana store and was greeted by Makai , He figured out my problem , turned on my phone and within 15 min my phone was up and running . He was not sure why the Tech support was not able to figure out my problem ? I appreciate his patience , professionalism and tech knowledge to find a solution to my problem . read more

Quality customer service at its best! The goal in retail is to assure your customer feels peace of mind from their experience. Colin and the team here did just that!!! I needed help transferring my line off a former account. Because I wasn't an authorized user on the account, I couldn't gain access into my number even though the other member on the account released my number. This process can't be done in store and must be done by phone call. Through Colin's strong effort to reach the proper retail department, I was able to receive help from Maria who was able to get my new personal account built. This transfer took some time, but doesn't deserve a loss of stars because I knew this going in that another credit check was to take place, etc. Because I was on hold, Colin & I had a great time chatting about his home in the Twin Cities. He's a big time sports guy like myself, so be sure to chat it up about his Vikings. Quality customer service is an experience. I don't understand how long it takes to update your online hours? This is an extreme inconvenience to your customers; especially not knowing how far they are driving; or how they had to get to your location. I've worked in customer service for over 15 years; and as courtesy, if customers do come in between YOUR incorrect advertising times; the associate on duty should go above and beyond and honor the times you have listed; besides turning them away. OK let me say this, they change people faster than you change shoes and i never realize this is NOT an ATT store but an ATT AUTHORIZED retailer. Huge difference as they are working for a franchise owner and they are not interested is helping you unless they are SELLING you something. The level of disinterest and ignorance to down right lying about their knowledge of your phone problems are astounding. I was added lines that i don't need without my knowledge after i left the store. I was told on another occasion i have cancelled one of my 6 lines when i they did not and left it on and renewed it so they get a commission. I was told on yet another occasion my phone which i got on my own is garbage by a kid that earn less in a year than i do in a month. When i called to voice my complaint, an even younger lady who claims to be a manager ( doubtful) got defensive for her buddy. ATT corp called after hearing my complaint and i was told they have had a lot of issue with this store. Then i went to a ATT store, a real ATT store, and what a difference!!!! They were fast, knowledgeable and courteous. They were not shoving up-sell down my throat and got the answer to the problem with great knowledge of their business. Today my friend and I had a wonderful experience. The sales person that attended to us went out of her way to get my phone working again.

Went into this AT & T Store to change my cable provider to Directv and spoke to Aaron who seems to think he knows everything there is to know about everything.... Key word HE THINKS HE DOES, reality he doesn't. He did a lot of talking and assured me he could set me up for Directv and gave me a price. When I got home on my computer I received communication from AT & T and the price he gave me was not what the price was in my email. I called Aaron and told him and he said don't worry... I said what you said verbally doesn't hold water, what is written in print is what counts. He had NOT GIVEN ME ANY PAPERWORK WITH HIS PRICE ON IT! I received at least 10 emails all giving me different figures as well as 3 emails in Spanish and since I'm not Spanish I have no idea what they said. When I checked with my apartment complex they said that I lived in a multiple dwelling and had to have a certain contractor that had the contract in my apartment complex. So I called Aaron and he said "I was wrong", he also said "I am cancelling this order" and HE HUNG UP ON ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called the store and spoke to Megan the manager and she was not apologetic at all, she said Aaron was a great salesperson, and I said perhaps he should listen to what the customer is saying instead of thinking he knows everything when apparently he doesn't. He didn't know that I lived in a multiple dwelling and had a contractor and no one else would be allowed to install directv, did he.... This store lacks customer service skills, maybe for a phone they are OK, but for helping you get Directv or Centurylink phone or internet, they don't know what they are doing. Aaron thinks he is wonderful and Megan the manager LACKS customer service skills, any wonder that her employees walk around like they are doing you a favor helping you. Sorry, but this store is horrible and staffed by people who do not know what they are doing and are downright rude to the customer...... hanging up on a customer is unforgivable...........
