I'm leaving this review after a really disappointing experience at the Office Depot on Charleston. I have a corporate account and made a bulk toilet paper purchase in-store, though it shipped from a warehouse. When I discovered the product was defective (see photos), I followed instructions from Office Depot Corporate, who told me to bring the item to the store to start a return. When I did, with the product and original shipping labels in hand, the associate refused to help me unless I brought in the original shipping box. They were completely inflexible, even after I explained everything and showed proof of purchase. As a loyal customer who regularly buys from Office Depot, this was frustrating and unacceptable. I've been going to Office Depot very frequently for my small business needs since my printer is currently getting fixed. Today I had a horrible experience due to the lack luster approach the female with heavy makeup and red hair working the printing area had. When I arrived I let her know I had previously worked with a nice lady who printed for me and I wanted to have the same paper she used. The red haired female told me to go to aisle 16 to which I could not find the paper I was looking for. In a hurry I went back up to the printing area to let the red haired girl know I couldn't find the paper. I said "I didn't see the paper", "does it say office depot on the front" , "can you show me?" but she insisted to tell me the paper I was looking for was at the front of aisle 16 instead of leaving the printing area which was not busy at all to help me. I say this ALL the time, but if you do not like your job please stop working customer SERVICE positions that require you to interact with people. ATTENTION ALL VETERANS Yesterday, I needed to purchase a binder to organize a project for one of my retired jobs. Yes...I enjoy working. I approached the cashier, displayed my drivers license which has my Veteran designation on it. I asked for the Veterans discount please. The cashier immediately said, "We don't do that." Yes in those words. I then said yes you do, I then showed her a photo copy of the Office Depot Veteran discount policy to her. She said, "Well, I didn't know that but I guess I'll give it to you." I paid, said thank you. She just looked at me and said NEXT customer. I wasn't surprised due to how many people lack customer service, professionalism and respect. Most are angry and take it out on customers without any consequences. I then thought, I'll ask a manager if they offer a Veterans discount. That manager said simply...No. nothing else added in his response. I then showed him their policy. He said, "Oh, I didn't know that." That's it...that's all he said. I exited. There hasn't been one time in two plus years that I haven't had to pull up their Veteran discount policy before I enter their store and a few times in the California Bay Area. DON'T GO HERE. Printing staff is overall useless and will mess up your order and charge you for it. When I tried to self service 11x17 color copies there were black streaks in the white areas. Z (employee) told me that the machines are dirty so he'd have to copy it for me. Then they charge you the up charge of having them do it. So, the staff don't clean the equipment and force you to pay more. Then I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Sabrina. IF YOU SEE HER RUN THE OTHER WAY. She tried to sell me on laminating sheets at $3.70 each. I told her that I would prefer the laminating by the foot since it would save me a lot of money. She said she was newer to it. She started the job and I noticed she was putting all my copies in lengthwise with a lot of space between items when I pointed out that I asked her to Tetris the photos and not keep so many inches between the photos. She said she was doing the best she could. When staff is incapable of doing a job I expect them to tell me that I need to come back, not do what they want which costs me twice as much. Then, we I called the lead over to complain I stated that my husband had suggested we come back but I felt if Sabrina was incapable of doing the job she would have told me to come back. Sabrina interrupted and said that I should have listened to my husband, with a rude tone and attitude. Talk about ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. The lead on that night was useless in helping. I'm still waiting for the store manager to call me back. I also requested a district or regional manager to contact me and was told that they don't know how to do that. Wow! What a energy shift! I came here from another location. Literally drove across town because this guy at the other location was absolutely HORRIBLE... as soon as I walked in I was greeted from an employee with a smile. Everyone was pleasant and happy and just in a good energy mood. I knew I was going to have a good experience from the moment I walked through the doors. I met with Danny and he was helping me with my order of printing different sizes of art. He was kind, fast, efficient, and even helped me save money on my order. Many sizes had to be re-sized and he went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. The manager Netanis was so sweet to my toddler and even helped out with her while I got all this processed. My toddler LOVED her so much and she gave her stickers and a toy to play with. Just the kindest women EVER and my daughter was so calm when she was spending time with her. All in all I went from having the worst customer service ever in my life at the other location to having the BEST customer service EVER in my life at this location. I am not sure what happen to this location but their service went from great to absolute crap. I sent an email to them at 8am for items that needed to be printed for my audition tonight and even called to confirm they wouldn't have any problems with the items. They assured me that they would not have any issues and told me it would be done by 5 PM. It is now 5:45 PM and they do not have any of the items complete. They were finally able to put a push order in to find out their printer is out of ink and printed funky. I lost out on a $5000 job because they were not able to provide good customer service and quality service. I did not have time to go elsewhere and will never use them again and will try my best to avoid this place. This was for a last minute final audition and found out at 7am this morning that I needed these specific photos. Partially my fault because this isn't the first time this has happened and I should have learned from that mistake. They had since 9am to get these 10 photos printed and didn't even have the nerve to call to let me know they would not be done in time. All the manager could tell me was " this is the busiest print spot in Vegas" but to be honest that's not my problem and they should have told me when I called at 11am that they couldn't get the order complete. read more

Myself and family use the Office Depot services located at 10950 W Charleston frequently, however the brings a dark cloud upon arrival. It's no wonder their stores are closing! Worst experience ever! I just needed 4 pages copied! 4! Not 40, 4! There were 3 people in front of me to use the Self Serve copy/printers. They couldn't get it to work. I tried to use both & it just spooled forever & wouldn't work so I went to the counter. There was 1 girl, 1! After about 20 minutes a boy came to help. There were 3 customers in front of me & 1 still at Self Serve hoping for the best. I just needed 4 copies! I could have been out of there in 5 minutes tops but these 2 had no clue how to handle multiple customers. While 1 job was being worked on they could have worked on me instead of standing there watching a computer screen. It was painful! I even offered to pay for everyone at the counter just to get 4 copies printed or $20 per page=$80! They could have bought lunch for all 4 employees! Yup! A big store like that & I counted 4 employees! I really needed to buy other things like a new printer, ink, items for a podcast I do here in Vegas but said, "Screw it! Never coming here again!" Went into this store this evening to print items via self-service and then have them laminated following. There was no employee at the print station so I asked an employee if someone could come over to laminate 4 sheets of paper. She said she could ask but the machine might be turned off already. This was at 6:39PM. She then asked a male employee at the register if the lamination machine was still on and he said it was already turned off for the day. I told the employees that as a customer, if it is stated online that the print station closes at 7:00PM, then I expect a simple service such as lamination to be available at 6:39PM. They acted as if I was asking at 6:56PM. The male employee at the cashier then sarcastically and smugly replied, "We'll have it ready for you next time." As a customer, never have I been spoken to so rudely by an employee. How do you speak to customers who are teachers such as myself in this way? He was a short guy with glasses and bleached-like hair. I will NEVER frequent this store again. They don't deserve my money. Word of advice Office Depot...the employee who spoke so rudely to me is a liability. Dominic in printing needs a new job. I've been in a few times to get marketing signage printed for my small business--and he acts like it's the bane of his existence to print things. I asked for my files to be fitted to the page, and when they came out completely cut off and I asked him to please fit to page, he became all huffy saying "that's how the program works." Netanis was extremely helpful. I came in looking for a name tag holder and although a young gentleman employee was polite and told me where I could find it, while I was looking it was Netanis that took the initiative and asked me if I needed help. I explained briefly what I wanted, and she suggested that I could laminate what I wanted to get done. Brianna also helped and was super friendly. But it was Netanis who consistently and repeatedly checked on me and reminded me a 2nd time to use the thicker lamination option. She also gave many helpful suggestions and even took it upon herself to cut the lamination through a "do it yourself" DIY concoction of using a tool to make a circular shape, scissors, and craftiness and helped me create what I actually wanted. Along with the help, she was friendly, joking, and very pleasant and helpful. Brianna and her need a raise and they were invaluable in assisting me and exceeding my expectations. Netanis truly went above and beyond and provided exceptional customer service that unfortunately is rare in most stores. Thank you to the Office Max team. In all honesty, FedEx and Staples are my go to places and office max and office depot are the last on my list, but I "accidentally" came across your store, and it truly is the employees that made a difference in this situation. I have been coming here mostly for ink for my inkjet printer. Their prices are good considering it's OEM ink as compared to some of the refilled cartridges you can buy online for less. I have found the staff to be very helpful when I've been looking for other things and I have that lost look. I periodically get mailings with varying amounts off on purchases of a certain amount. Parking is generally easy. The only problem is getting in and out of Canyon Pointe. read more

As always, I would prefer to give a better review. It's unfortunate that the service is inconsistent at many establishments. I went three weeks ago to fax some documents as my home office is just not setup to do this. And this is the first time in many years that I have had to fax anything for my personal errands. The attendant was patient and friendly. During this same visit, I purchased ink for my printer. I opted for the Office Depot re-used cartridges. It was $20 cheaper. I got home, but my printer wouldn't read the cartridges. So I ended up going back later in the afternoon to return the cartridges and opted to by a new printer as it was the same price of the ink versus purchasing the fresh cartridges. Great service, super friendly and helpful gentleman by the name of Jason. I setup the new printer two nights later. Printer setup error. Thank goodness I didn't rip open the package for the cartridges. Not that I should expect any other result, but I tried several times the following nights. Friday night, I put everything back in the box. I took the printer back the following Sunday, just a week after I purchased it, before my husband and I would meet some friends for dinner (Hot Pot). As soon as my husband and I walked in, one of the workers and the cashier had a smirk on their face, like, "what the fuck now!?" Just the opposite from what we experienced the weekend before. Where the heck was my friendly and helpful Jason!? In any case, because my husband and I were meeting friends for dinner, we just couldn't get into it with THESE people, so my husband was just a really nice guy. Usually, I'm the nice person while I try to calm my husband down. Because I needed to print these personal documents, I ended up paying the difference for the $75 ink cartridges. I'm just going to say, if you're a customer service representative, and the customer specifically looks at your name tag and says your name out loud, there's a good reason why. Either you're going to get a rave review or the customer is about to rip right into you using the customer feedback feature noted on the receipt. As I said in an earlier review, be nice! I go to this Office Depot frequently. Staff is great and always helpful. My issue is with their pricing compared to Office Depot.com. Looked to buy Office Depot remanufactured ink cartridge 932XL/933. Online, it is $59.99. In the store, it is $81.99! C'mon Office Depot, I can understand a buck or 2 more because of store overhead, but 36%?? The store DID price match it which was appreciated, but that mark-up is crazy. I'm only giving this place 5 stars because of Jason, my cutting guy! Every week I have a stack of papers that I need to be "cut to bleed". Do you know how difficult it is to find a place who can do it, and do it evenly sparing all words and letters?? I really didn't think it would be that difficult. But apparently it is. I tried 4 different places before coming here. That's 4 different places that cut my bulletins uneven or chopped off words, or worse. Thankfully I found Jason at Office Depot who puts my stress at ease! He is the only one I trust my business with. If you want attitude and sarcasm this is the place for you. When employees think that they know everything and top it off with a little attitude. Horrible customer service I was charged way more this time for the same product. The employees at the print shop often have no clue on anything print-related, and today it took 45 minutes just to get two little books spiral-bound. The service is extremely slow and in the past, the employees never asked if I wanted help finishing (cutting, binding) my print jobs. For one project, I ended up using scissors and cutting through 45 sheets of paper myself, when I'm sure it could've been done in 5 minutes on their machines. In terms of cleanliness, they must have a problem with sewage or something, because there are aggressive fruit flies near the counter that kept attacking me. read more

First of all, my husband comes here for copies and other office related tasks on the regular and he's a big fan. Always gets the job done for him. And if I wasn't a believer before, I am now! I came in at 7:30 last Sunday night to have my teaching portfolio copied and bound. I was quite nervous to hand this document off as I'd spent hours and hours putting it together and printing it at home, but Jason treated it like a newborn baby and was so patient and respectful as he talked me through the options and answered every one of my questions. So he scans the whole thing into a perfect PDF in MINUTES, and in just a few more minutes, he has the original bound up beautifully. Seriously, this portfolio is straight fire. He even matched everything to the dark blue theme I had going. Not to mention, Jason completed this task in minutes (while juggling other customers) when the other copy place I went to told me this would take a day and a half to complete. Bottom line is, if you need something done, go here for courteous and quick service - and ask for Jason. He rocks it. read more
