I visited this AT&T location to upgrade my phone after 90% of my screen went black, and was assisted by Aerica. She is, without a doubt, one of the most patient, kind, and compassionate people I've ever encountered in the phone industry. Not only did she quickly get me set up with an upgraded phone, but she also found a way to lower my monthly plan, something I wasn't expecting at all. The biggest challenge came when we realized I hadn't backed up my phone in three years. With my screen barely functioning, I honestly thought I had lost all those memories for good. Aerica went above and beyond. She used her own phone as a guide to carefully navigate mine, helped me back everything up, and even assisted me in getting enough iCloud storage so this wouldn't happen again. The entire process took about two hours, and not once did she show any frustration or impatience. I had visited another location closer to my home before this, and the difference in service was truly night and day. Because of Aerica, I will absolutely be making the drive to this location from now on. She was truly an angel, and I highly recommend asking for her if you visit this store. We have visited this store several times to get help with my elderly father's phone service. Matt was an absolute saint and was so patient and kind to me and my father. Unfortunately, we had to go back and Matt was not available. Instead, Jason was the person that we were stuck with. His poor customer service included terrible communication skills. He did not make eye contact very well and seemed more interested in doing work on his tablet. He spoke down to both of us and just left us and went to another customer without saying a word. I had to interrupt him with another customer with questions we still had about the phone. I made a comment about not being taken care of anymore and he asked me why I needed to be that way. We decided to leave since we seemed to bother him and I could see him speaking badly about us to the customer he was with. If you go to this store and get Jason, don't expect to be treated very well. read more

Cole deserves a promotion. The greatest experience this family has had with AT&T was with Cole. He was on our side and acted like he was part of the family. He would go to the moon and back to help us, which he did smoothly and quickly. Our family was beyond blessed to have Cole help us with all of our needs. From making our bills $60 cheaper to helping us trade in an old phone, Cole excelled in explaining the whole process and making us feel confident with our choices. Cole even wrote out the whole process and what our payment next month would look like. He checked all of the boxes and exceeded expectations. Horrible. Walked in the store and waited 20 minutes for any of the 5 employees to acknowledge us. Each of the employees were with a customer but we were the only customers waiting. Employees walked right by us many times without even saying hello, someone will be with you shortly or even making eye contact. We would have been fine waiting, understanding that buying or upgrading is not a super fast process, but to walk into a business and not have that business even acknowledge your presence is beyond insulting and I'll gladly spend the $1,000 plus elsewhere. read more

Realizing that we were both having issues with selected apps and battery life, we decided that it might be time to look at upgrading our iPhone 8's to some newer technology. So making an online appointment we went to the store the next day. Arriving there we were told that our appointment was not really necessary as the the demands were nowhere near what they had been years before and that they have streamlined some procedures (and accelerated training and supervision). That meant we walked in and were immediately served. The person assigned to help us was very knowledgeable of their products and capabilities, along with in-store inventory. He laid out his recommendations to meet both of our individual requirements and wants, along with a new tailored wireless plan which actually saved us money and qualified us for some nice rebate offers. As it turned out the color my wife wanted was the most popular of all and would have to be ordered. Less than 48 hours later both of our phones arrived at our home! Without an appointment we drove to the store (less than four miles away) and again were immediately met by one of their specialists. He pretty much seamlessly activated the phones and transferred all the data to the new phones, installed new protective cases, and set up them up according to our individual desires. There were only a couple of obscure apps that needed manual set up, but he did assist with those. Trading in our "old" phones, we qualified for specials that made my new iPhone 12 mini virtually free, and my wife's iPhone 12 Pro Max very affordable. Since I had recently replaced a high end protective case I was advised to keep it and sell it on "Market Place" or one of the other similar sites myself. All in all, these actions took less than an hour. A very respectable wait for the amount of effort required. At the end of the day we were both very satisfied with our new phones, the service provided, and the overall costs. This AT&T store has upped their game and earned our respect. Went in to get my screen protector replaced. They took off the one on my phone (which cracked even more once they removed it), then told me they didn't have any in stock, AFTER REMOVING from my phone. So I left with my phone being worse off then what is was originally. Gave me a website to go to, and they are not responsive. Very poor service. read more

After confirming my order was ready I went to the store. I called the store 3 times from the parking lot. They didn't answer. I went inside to get my order. It took 10 minutes for someone to "put me in the queue". Then I waited another 15 minutes for someone to come to the sales floor and hand me a phone charger that was already paid for. If I went someplace where I ordered ahead for something that didn't need to be assembled, or cooked was paid for and in a box with my name already on it and was forced to wait 30 minutes for it to be handed to me I'd be tempted to complain. read more

Went to this AT and T to replace my mom's Go-Phone, which is antiquated. It's one of those phone you have to scroll through the text to get the letter you need. I decided it was time for her to have an easier phone. She uses it less than once a month. But I'm sure she'd use it more if it were easier to use. I have a smart phone (t-mobile), and love it. We walk into this location, and were immediately helped. We asked about their Go-Phones. In the back of my mind, I knew there's an extra monthly fee on smart phones. They showed her the choices, few and meh. Personally, I don't care for Go Phones, I'd rather T-mobile no contract or Sprint no contract. AT and T doesn't respect their Go-Phone customers. The employee demo'd the phone, and ofcourse it wasn't in stock. He said he'd call when it came in. I asked if she could transfer everything from her old phone to new phone, and would the price change. He assured me nothing would change. That's when a red flag went up and this review went from 3 stars to 2. We left without a phone, and went into Best Buy. They were very honest saying there is a $25 a month charge for data with a smart phone. That's all I needed to know about AT and T. My mom is still stuck with the antiquated 7 year old SamSung flip phone with a screen the size of a dime. No thank you, AT and T. read more

AT&T Store - Mobile Phones Near Me - Lees Summit, Missouri

Couldn't have gotten a worse first impression within my first 48 hours as a customer at ATT. Ported over 5 lines from Tmobile at this store and within the first 2 days ran into issues so bad they're laughable. First, my entire family gets home and we can make calls, but notice data is so slow apps and websites are failing to load due to timing out. After 2 hours on the phone with tech support, we use ATT's outage tool on their website and find out there's an outage in my neighborhood that won't be fixed until September 30th. It was September 20th then so they just expect you to wait 10 days to get service back? This is outrageous as I live in a very suburban part of Lees Summit and never had this issue with Tmobile and could rely on them when my wifi went down. Now for the second issue that drove me to write this review. I'm an iphone enthusiast and was told when I left this store in Lee's Summit that I was all set up to be able to go to Apple the next day during the launch of the iphone 15 and get the phone I had reserved. I wanted to use AT&T's carrier offer giving me $1000 for my phone when I picked mine up at Apple. I was reassured SEVERAL times that everything was all good for me to do this tomorrow (that I had an eligible device, the right plan, etc.). So you can imagine my shock and displeasure after I waited an hour and a half outside of the Apple store only to be told during the checkout of my phone that ATT was reporting to Apple that I still had part of my phone to pay off (which makes no sense because the phone was brought from Tmobile paid off). So the Apple store employee is great and gives me time to call ATT before giving up. First ATT tried to blame it on Apple and then I was told I had to wait 90 days to take advantage of carrier deals. This was shocking because no one at this store had informed me about this. I then had to give up my iphone 15 Pro Max. Because of ATT I now have to spend my days off checking Apple's website and calling AT&T stores all over Kansas and Missouri constantly to ask about stock as the device I wanted is not shipping for delivery until November 15th. AT&T had one job and royally dropped the ball. If the 5 line plan I'm on wasn't $80 cheaper than T-mobile's, I would be back there in a heartbeat. Do not get service through AT&T unless it is your absolute last option. I couldn't recommend their service any less. read more

This store is a joke. I had an online order that was not sent to me correctly. Calling customer service, they advised me to go to my local store (this store) and bring my order form and have the store correctly. I went to this store and they couldn't help me, as I quote, "we can't give you anything off our shelves". That is fine, but Doug (initially claimed to be the general manager of the store) who helped me was completely rude and not at all interested in helping me to solve the problem. In fact, he told me I was stupid. To be fair, I went back at him and told him his was stupid for his lack of customer care and for treating me. He then told me to take it up with customer care and asked me to leave the store. So I sat outside the store and called customer care who advised me to go back in and again ask the store rep to help me. When I went back in Doug again was rude and condescending--even when I told him I was in the phone with AT&T customer care and they wanted to speak to him. The rep on the phone, who not only heard the exchange but was also recording it on her end, told me to get his business card so she get the store ID because of how rude they were to me. Doug said he didn't have any cards because he was new to that location. When I asked why ATT would have a general manager on the floor without a business card, he then said he misspoke and that he wasn't the general manager and was just the manager in charge that night. The rep on the phone asked me to have him write down his bosses name. The one thing Doug actually complied with. The store then kicked me out and locked the door. The rep on the phone told me to stay put because she was going to call in to the store branch to have them let me back in and problem solve to correct the issue. The store told me they were going to call the police on me. The rep on the phone again told me to stay put and that she would speak to the officers if and when they arrived to let them know I wasn't doing anything wrong and that she had the whole incident recorded on her end. I stayed out for about twenty more minutes and eventually the rep on the line said she couldn't get anyone inside the store to answer and that I could leave. The rep then handled my problem for me and then texted me a link to file a formal complaint on that store location. She also said she was going to send the recording of the incident on to the people above her because AT&T store fronts should not treat customers in the fashion that they did with me. The sad part is I have tried to call the general manager whose name is Michael numerous times to no avail. Hence, I am writing this to let people know to STAY AWAY from this location. It's not worth it. They don't care, won't help you, and more interested in signing people up for new service and additional plans than truly helping people. I'll take my business elsewhere. Michael helped me get my new phone and I was up and running after not much time at all. Purchased an order online for an iPhone X, followed the instructions and went into the store to Verify the order was actually placed by me. Brought ID etc. The "Supervisor" Mr. 12/hr proceeded to give us a hard time. First he asked for a utility bill which in 2018 most people subscribe to paperless billing so I found him a utility bill from our UPS daily digest scan which shows everything in our mailbox. He proceeds to say oh well I would need the actual bill in my hand. Keep in mind we are traveling so we don't just have our physical bill with us nor did AT&T ask for all the documents he requested. Dude was bored and takes his job to seriously because he's the "Supervisor" LOL. We ended up going to the Belton Commons location where we met one of the best employees ever with amazing customer service. Went in with questions about my plan and the ATT policies since 4 attempts at calling ATT gave me 4 different answers. The "angry" greeter gave wrong info, and another "angry" employee agreed with her. I asked for clarification which they "looked up" online and amended what they said but it was still incorrect. (per ATT policies online). Bottom line is unless you are spending money they seem to have no interest since you are already a customer. This isnt the first bad experience with the stores lack of knowledge and/or customer service, but it is definately the last time I will encounter it. read more

I was sent to this location to exchange equipment from my AT&T TV service through a phone call with their service department (in Asia). The folks at the AT&T store were simply not able to do anything for me at all. They directed me back to the telephone number that had sent me to the physical location. Apparently, if you listen to the Asia-based customer support, and the staff or this AT&T location there is no way to get service if your AT&T equipment has been damaged by a lightening storm. Each party refuses to fix the faulty equipment and sends you to the other party for service. Out of a staff of 6 at this store only one offered to call AT&T service (the rest standing there with slack-jaws like mongoloids), and then asked me for the number to AT&T service. Brought in a friend who needed a new phone. He had been forced to retire a frw month before and let his bill was late, on top of that his mom died the month before. He was a MESS. Paying on the 'bundle' they forced on on him for services he didn't use. Little did they know Google Fiber is now taking new customers in his neighborhood! And Verizon and a Samsung S7 await, No mo BS from AT&T. They even tried to bait and switch us at the store. Came in looking for an S5 (as advertised in stock only to be told they don't have it in so we had to goto a higher lvl stock. Terrible customer service, very little compassion. He suggested I call Customer Support instead. My husband and I both purchased phones at this store on Sunday. I bought an Iphone 5 and he purchased a Samsung. That evening I was told that the Iphone 6 is being released on Sept 9. I spoke to a friend who also visited this store on Saturday and was told by an employee that it was in his best interest to wait unitl after the release. Therefore, I decided to return my phone and wait for the release. I was told by Derek, the store manager, that there may not even be a release and that they know nothing about it. I told him that it was not true and went ahead & returned my phone. I asked him to waive the $35 restocking fee since I was not told about a possible release and he would not. I told him that, in that case, my husband would be back to return his Samsung. I asked him if he realizes his store was losing a $1400 purchase because of $35 and he replied yes!
