She immediately got a new SIM card (no charge), put it in the phone and we were on our way. I've been a customer with AT&T for close to 20 years. I have had both cell phones and a mobile hotspot. While traveling from New England we started having trouble with the hotspot(mobile jet pack). While visiting Alabama we stopped at a ATT store there and they tried but failed to resolve my issue. We continued on traveling and stopped for a weeks vacation in Fort Walton Beach Florida. While in Florida I found a AT&T store on Mary Esther Blvd and I am glad I did! We were immediately greeted by employees Steve Brockway and Evan Hillman. These guys know what they are doing. They both went above and beyond the call of duty. They are extremely knowledgeable and professional and most of all honest. The didn't stop until they fixed my issue including making phone calls to tech support for us. We didn't even have to get out of our car! AT&T is fortunate to have such dedicated employees. I went into this store because the store in Navarre said I needed to go to this location which is a corporate office to sign up for a prepaid plan. It is a far drive. As soon as I came into the store I was approached by a tall older gentleman with Gray hair and beard. When I told him I was sent there and why he immediately dismissed me and said I can't help you out. I said they had sent me. He cut me off mid sentence. He say something and when I tried to respond he would not let me finish a single sentence. His response to everything I was saying seemed to irritate him and then he gave me a really dirty look. I couldn't believe how RUDE this man was. I asked for a supervisor and he just answered they are gone for the day. I told him I want someone who is will to help me. And that he is providing horrible customer service. He then tried changing his tune and sell me another higher phone plan. This should never happen. I had the most awesome AT&T store experience of my 15 years with AT&T and T today thanks to Jason. I stopped in for a new iPad Pro that I had called about and was immediately greeted by name and professionally treated through the entire experience. Jason took the time to go over my bill and ended up saving me money that cover the cost of the new iPad data program to the plan.Jayson was very knowledgeable about the iPad set up I got all my iCloud data moved over. Terrible service. I have to wait for almost 2 hours to be taken care of. It was after 7 and there were only 3 assistants. Specially, they didn't look like they rushing to take care other customers. All of them were like chilling, chatting with their customers for hour. There were at least 4 customers walked out on that day. Horrible experience. All I needed was to exchange a phone that I just received and I had to wait 45 minutes so I just walked away. The manager can't be bothered with a simple question (I asked for the wait times since he checked me in). Most stores will get you checked in right away. As I am sure many can agree That finding great customer service now days is far and between... This is why I must take time today and write this review about Evan Hillman. He was amazing!! Getting new phones as everyone knows is a long process but he made it very enjoyable. He was very knowledgeable on the different types of phones and didn't mind answering any questions we had. I felt appreciated and never felt rushed. We took about 2hrs of his time so it's not like we were in and out. He also looked over our account and saw places we could save money on our bill. I feel like he went above and beyond his job to help us...We have been there on other occasions as well and always the people were pleasant to work with... Evan really went above and beyond when helping me and my fiancé out. He had lost his phone the weekend prior and was with a different network. Evan got him on my plan and guided him through the steps to even allow him to keep his number ! (Which we all know how much of a hassle it is to change your number ). Plus he really made sure I maximized my savings ! He was kind , personable,knowledgeable, and really took his time and made us feel like a priority. He was pretty much the definition of excellence. Evan even got his manager Chris to come over an explain the DirectTV process to us. And he had a even more discounts and deals available! His coworker Anthony even made sure he greeted us and made sure we were all set and happy. I couldn't have made a better decision on who to choose for my phone service company. Worst experience EVER! We've been with AT&T for over 8 years and I've never seen the level of poor customer service as this store. My new iphone 5s otter box belt clip broke, they couldn't find any purchases in the computer but the corporate could. Bryson the manager instead attempting to help me became almost a pissing match and he was even yelling at me. I asked if he could call his boss or higher up to find resolution and exchange it as it has a year warranty. He told me no, I'm not calling anyone I looked in the computer and I see u swapped an otterbox in Pensacola but I see no iphone purchase. He argued, then lied, I had to call 611 myself after he threw the phone at me and go up 3 levels in management to file a complaint to the district manager as Bryaon wouldn't give me any bosses number.(against 611's instructions for him too). He said this is my store and I run it how I want. My friend was with me and thinking of getting a phone, he said after seeing how rude, unhelpful, tone and berating that he would never buy an AT&T phone. I said sorry u saw that I've never once had this experience. DO NOT go to this store unless you like to be treated like your doing them a favor by paying them to not help you and enjoy being embarrassed. My experiences with AT&T stores has been completely miserable every Time that I come into one. My first experience was I purchased an iPhone which was sent to me through the mail. I went into a store and told the people there that I did not want to change my phone number the manager open the box and said here's your new phone and here's your new phone number. I said I didn't want the phone if I had Avenue phone number he said that I would have to pay $600 because I opened the box. I said I told him I didn't want to new phone number and that I didn't open the box they open the box and I was gonna pay anything. AT&T try to collect $600 for me for about two years they tried to ruined my credit. They understood that it was a mistake but they couldn't stop the collections people in their office from trying to collect money from me and I wasn't gonna pay it. After two years and over 50 hours on the phone with AT&T it was finally resolved. Now I'm trying to unlock a phone that I've purchased from them years ago to use with a new provider and I can't unlock it and they won't talk to me in any AT&T store.
