    I went on 2 occasions to try and get the plan offered here:…read morehttps://www.att.com/prepaid/double-data-offer.html On the first occasion a big guy with a beard told me "no hot spot on that plan" so I left. I pulled up the promotion and right in the promotion language at the bottom it says "Data: Plan includes 8GB of high-speed data. Includes data usage within & between the U.S., Mexico & Canada. After high-speed data allowance is used, speeds are reduced to a max of 128Kbps for rest of 30-day term. Mobile Hotspot use included. " So I went back and also had an unrelated question about porting from Cricket. Again I was told no hotspot by Ciera and also told that since Cricket is a part of AT&T they can't port my number. Huh? That's when it should be easiest! The bottom line here is that she took offense to being called out on not knowing the promotion details and tried to insinuate that I was some kind of troublemaker. Truly awful service and continual lying about the promotions. I'd rather stay at Cricket and pay $25 more a month than deal with these problems. I believe AT&T itself is also responsible since I couldn't get any decent answers from them. I tried to complain but that only resulted in an upsell attempt and when that failed I was supposedly transferred to "the prepaid side" but it was just an activation line that offered no human interaction. The whole operation is just really piss poor and out looking to rip people off. My friend downstate got his plan and his hotspot set up by the reseller there on the second visit in 20 minutes, but his first visit was similar to mine. He had to point the language out to the rep but lucky for him his rep wasn't brain dead, admitted the mistake and then treated him like a customer and not an annoyance. I never had so much trouble trying to put money in a businesses' bank account. I guess Slayton thinks customers are optional.

Everyone seems to be in their own little world. They prefer that you go talk to a kiosk or do all of your business with a computer so when you go to do your business with a computer, the computer or the kiosk cannot take cash. Which was the purpose of my whole visit ! Moreover, the selection of phones that they have aren't very many they're sold out of most of them so you only end up getting what they have as opposed to what you want because that's all they have available. The value is really poor because they won't even put a person in there to greet/advise you so if you wanna go to a store in sit there and not even be recognized for 10 or 15 minutes and this is the place for you! if you're busy and you need to get things done, I might look at a different AT&T store and to be honest with you after dealing with AT&T I might try T-mobile because T-mobile seem to be more friendly to the customer and they really act concerned about you.     I switched to AT&T in April and when I did (with my 6 lines), I had an offer to get the a wireless…read moreinternet for $40 per month (5G access basically). I could not get Fiber, so I thought I would use it until Fiber became available. In August, the City of Ocala ran Fiber to my neighborhood, so I signed up for it and cancelled the AT&T internet and when I called to cancel, I was given a UPS label to put on the box to send the modem back. I sent it back and then was charged over $200 for rental of this box for the remainder of 2 years that I had signed for - I was told I was renting the modem, but not that I had to keep paying on it forever. I contacted AT&T multiple times - at first, I could not find the tracking of the return, so I could not get any satisfaction. Then I found it and called the LOYALTY department, figuring everything was going to be OK now. Wrong! This guy did not care that I returned it. I said that if I have to pay for it, why did you have me send it back? And if I have to pay for it, send it back to me so I can sell it to somebody. He refused. As soon as my obligations for the phones are up, I am out of there! Pretty sad public relations!
