This is a lovely store. It is bright and modern and very techie. Alas, looks can be deceiving. We stopped in after experiencing some obvious problems with a new iPhone. Our salesperson, Jose, wasn't helpful at all. His solution to the iPhone problem? Turn off LTE. I'm not quite a phone nerd, but even I could tell he was kind of trying to get rid of us. We also asked if he could check into our family plan (trying to get a better rate). And he said what we have now is probably the best. He said this without even looking up our account. I was beyond frustrated with this short interaction. My husband says there is another guy that normally works during the week who is more helpful, so he was planning on going back and speaking with him. I'll skip that trip. read more

If I could leave a negative star instead of a one star review, I would. My experience with at&t has been awful and I regret switching from T-Mobile. I went in with my fiancee and they convinced me to switch, so I did to be on a plan with him that was cheaper. Big mistake. The woman helping me never advised me to turn off auto-pay and so T- Mobile charged me the full amount to switch To this new line so I paid out of pocket for that with money I didn't have. Secondly, they gave me a phone that only works on WiFi so if I'm trying to make any calls or use internet, forget about it. Thirdly, I have been trying to work with AT&T to get them my old bill and have my rewards from switching given back to me but this has been a joke. The fact that I cant even get to a prompt to ask for a representative is absolutely ridiculous. They have the internet, home lines and mobile all linked as one when they should have a separate line you can call for cell phone issues. Nevermind that, I went back into the store to have a HUMAN rep help me and that was even worse. Unlike the first time I came in where they greeted me and were eager to help me, it was like I was a bother. I asked two representatives for help. The second one briefly walked me through it and then turned to the tv and continued to watch the soccer game on TV. He then walked away and went in the back somewhere where I could no longer find in. It's been a minute since I have been in this store. My experience in the past has been annoying, but I went there yesterday and I walked right in and got help. Everyone was welcoming and made sure they opened my door in and out of the establishment. Louie was helpful and got me everything I needed WHILE saving me some money! Went in to upgrade my phone...that's it. We were short on time just wanted to get the phone and go. As soon as I sat down he started asking me about my WiFi and how much I pay. My husband just went in a few months ago and they tried to sell him on it we didn't want it. I told him immediately "it's okay we are okay with our internet I just want the phone today" he then looked at my husband and decided to try to sell him on it after I told him 3 times we were good my husband then tells him at least another 3 times that we were only there for the phone and he still did not care he kept going and we decided to just leave. I get it..you have to tell us about it but if we are telling you no and you are shoving it down our throats, it feels like yall are trying to sell a bad car and convince us that it's the best car out. Just wanna let everybody know I don't think this is a good location to go to Hector. The store manager is a racist person. I walked into the store. They were not busy at all. He could've helped me but he didn't and then I waited around a good 15 minutes, no response Watched other people walk in the store that were Hispanic, and he jumped on him. The other people jumped on him when I said something he finally got somebody to me and they couldn't help me. They refuse to. They said oh they're not allowed to do that store policy. I used to be a very faithful, loyal customer of this AT&T store but not after I found out that the store manager and his sales rep were seriously pushing my wife and I to sign up with this DIRECTV and Internet package the last few times we've gone to the store. We gave the store mgr a chance because I believed he was trying to get me a better deal and get me better service, but what I found was they lied to me all along. I've had problems with both DIRECTV and the Internet package that I signed up with and the worst part of everything is the DIRECTV I have it under a two-year contract? if these people the manager or the sales rep would've told me I have to cancel at a certain time I would've understood. but they repeatedly said you have "no contract" "You could cancel Anytime you want" "take advantage of the visa gift card you'll receive, under no obligation" I realize that after many years faithfully coming to this store, giving them repeated business. Be very wary when entering this store....do you homework before going to this store..... It appears like every associate in there is out to sell you the highest options they can, without acknowledging any special deal in effect from AT&T........ long story short, I was in the store recently to upgrade my phone to the new Samsung fold, AT&T had a special trade-in allowance of $800 at the time for my old phone , but their sales associate told me it had ended the day before........ I went outside, signed into my AT&T account, and low and behold, the special WAS still in effect......... I went back into the store and asked the manager " Wanda", who definitely need more training on customer service as she had a real attitude with us, why were we told the special trade-in allowance had expired, when if fact it had not... after a hushed conference with her sales associate who had given us the incorrect information, "Wanda" then proceeded to tell us, with a really bad attitude, that yes indeed, the special trade-in allowance was still in effect and her associate was mistaken. My take on the situation was that since they all work on commission, they don`t want to offer or inform you of any special that is effect, if they can get away with it !! My husband and I went to AT&T in Waterford Lakes early this morning because we were unhappy Verizon subscribers with 5 active lines and were looking to change carriers. When we walked in to the store there were 2 customers being helped then we were the next up, so we decided to browse around and look at the phones in the meantime. 10min later another couple comes in and a representative walks up to them right away and puts them on the waiting list ignoring us the whole time. I mentioned that they didnt put us on the waiting list and everyone seemed to ignore me. I then told my husband that we can walk down and check at T-mobile instead because I dont appreciate the customer service here. When we walked into T-Mobile we were taken care of as soon as we walked in. To make a long story short, we walked into T-Mobile with 5 verizon lines and left with 5 new phones and 5 T-Mobile lines. Its a shame AT&T didnt have better customer service because we were so unhappy at Verizon that we probably would have right then and there just like we did at T-Mobile. If you ever get ignored at AT&T in Waterford Lakes walk on over to T-Mobile and ask for Jorge and he will take better care of you there than any of those clowns at AT&T. read more

Everyone working here is super friendly and seems looking like they're trying to help. In reality, they can't do anything other than Sell Sell Sell. Ordered DirecTV and have had 4 attempts to install. If I could get Comcast in my area, I would switch immediately. Managers promise credits on the account and they don't appear. One star due to shady sales tactic of adding Mobile protection plan on my phone upgrade without being upfront about it. Yes it is in the paperwork that was given to me after I bought the phone but I feel that the sales staff should tell you about it and give you the option to decline, especially as it's almost $12 per month. Im updating my previous review as I have had many many issues with AT&T since leaving the store that day. Apparently all the deals and discounts we were supposed to receive were never documented in the system and we were charged full price. The only reason my husband and I switched from Verizon to At&t was because of their first net program but come to find out the AT&T representatives did not explain the hidden fees or the process of first net beginning. And when I called First Net their only reply to when I asked why the representatives marketing their program don't tell us the same information she told me "well they don't have all of our information that we give." So why the heck are they advertising this without fully knowing everything?!?! This has caused me to be on the phone with 4 different people for multiple hours. Another business at the Waterford mall that sucks at customer service. My wife and wanted to get smart watches so we decided to go to AT&T store. I thought it would be much easier to buy them at the store because I was sure it would be a little difficult to learn how to use. As we walked in we were greeted by a pleasant associate. We told him what we wanted and he was able to produce the watches. So far so good. He asked if we would like him to set the watches up and we said yes. From that point, his attitude started to decline rapidly. He said that it will take awhile because their WiFi was very poor and it's not even AT&T WiFi. My wife's watch was being difficult and needed to be charged. The associate said it was going to take some time and proceeded to leave and go into the back room. He came back after a few minutes and saw that we were still having problems. He began to get short with us and then said he needs to help other customers. I thought that was odd because we still needed his help. After about ten minutes, I could tell we were not going to get any more help. Even the store manager wouldn't offer any help. It was very apparent that all the employees just want to push products and only provide assistance if it benefits them. I'm very disappointed with that store and we will not go back. read more

Absolutely awful customer service. I added a line to my account on Sunday and they screwed up my entire account. 1. They removed my security pin from my account. 2. They combined my Uverse account BILL and my wireless account BILL. 3. They combined my Uverse and my Wireless ONLINE access accounts. 4. They changed me from the primary user/account holder. Regarding #4, the girl said she was on the phone w/ customer service to change the primary back...she never did, apparently after we left the store she decided against doing what she was supposed to do to fix her mistake. It's Tuesday now and I tried to call the store to tell the manager about the issues and advise that he/she have a chat w/ their employees to ensure these issues don't happen again and to ask why my accounts were combined. I was met by an employee who talked over me the entire time. Literally, I could not get in a word before she put me on hold directly after telling me that her manager was with another customer. I called back to ask for her name and she talked over me again and told me her manager was busy and put me back on hold immediately. I called back again only wanting to know her name and how long I might be on hold to which I was met with even more attitude where the employee stated her name is Francis (probably a lie) and then she immediately put me on hold again after I asked her not to saying I'm a customer and would like to know how long I'd be on hold. Her reply was "Oh no, I don't think so, you don't talk to me like that..." and put me on hold. To say at this point that I am livid is an understatement. I have contacted online services, for 1 hour I was in a chat w/ someone to get my accounts back in order. I still don't have the exact outcome I would have preferred, but at least I wasn't met with attitude and rudeness. I'm confused and frustrated about why all of this happened in the first place and now even more frustrated after receiving the absolute worst interaction over the phone when trying to report my issue. I ADDED a line. I BOUGHT a phone. And I have issues w/ my account and can't even be met w/ proper customer service over the phone. Training is clearly much needed in this store. I hate this store with a passion. The design is so pretentious with everything being "urban or hipster" so there is no comfort or warmth anywhere. You will be never enter this store and not have at least a twenty minute wait. If your not buying an iPhone or spending 1K the staff act confused and are unhelpful. I don't give out really bad reviews often, especially if it's going to hurt a small business. Fortunately for AT&T they have plenty of money. Which is why probably their policies are so horrible. I've been with them for years , well over a decade. First was asked by them to switch to their internet connection which I was going to but they never called me like they were supposed to in their appointment schedule. Next Was supposed to get a new phone but they were gouging me on prices. Needed a new charger and manager (wish I remembered her name) told me to buy one and return it in 14 days until a free one got shipped to me. I returned it 2 weeks later and after waiting 15 mins but the new person said it was 1 day late because the day I bought it counts as a day. I asked to speak to a manager but had to wait another 15 mins. The new manager said can't refund and at that point I had to leave to a meeting I told them hold my charger and receipt I'll be back later in week to discuss (I was peeved at this point). A few days later came back and long story short, a new manager told me yes they could've refunded me on the day I came in but now they couldn't because too many days had past. (Really? Wow) Just amazing to me that a company that size doesn't have the foresight to see that a silly $20 charger just cost them a customer who spends $3000 a year with them. FYI TMobile has much better service and policies and plan. I'll be happy to adjust my reviews once AT&T gets their act together. read more

No line no wait, i thought great! I was never so wrong. Went into this store to get my free upgrade while on business, well the man i got, Mark i believe sold me on a different phone than the one i went in for. No big deal he promised me a 200 GB sim card and free battery with purchase of this phone,(the deal was expired, after i purchased the phone i found this out) i liked the phone and offer so i went for it. After one hour of him fumbling over his paper work and asking about 4 others for help we were ready to exchange my old phone for a new one! He did the paper work i signed and he went in the back to get my new V10! Well they were sold out of the V10 and the 89.50$ case and proctor he ALREADY sold me and charged me! So after another Hour exchange and him trying his best to claim its to his fault he's new and didn't know the inventory i left with a phone on hold. About 20 minutes after leaving i realized my old phone that i couldn't trade in wouldn't work with 4G, or ANYTHING but to call 911 or AT&T. So i call AT&T and after another Hour and half on the phone/hold they tell me that when he processed my old phone for trade in I'm IMEI number got screwed up and that they on the phone couldn't fix his screw up, i had to go back and deal with this screwball. i then asked well how long until my phone shipped (Mark promised it to me Nov. 23rd in store good to go) the woman from AT&T said there was no order shipping until Nov. 29th. So i call Mark back on his personal number he gave me and asked him about this he said well let me look it up, then said oh i must have read it wrong its the 29th. But ill fix the IMEI issue right now, just call AT&T back and were good. Again we all know AT&T service hour later they tell me i have to go in store its so screwed uno they can't fix it, or get a new phone. I call another AT&T store to see if they have V10's because i did like the phone and wanted it, with the deal, they said yes, but you have to go to the original store and have everything cancelled. So i storm into this store and he says hey man its all fixed you're good to go, i explain it all and say I'm going elsewhere just cancel my order. He again try to talk me out of it and i insist I'm leaving just cancel it. Again 45 mins no one can cancel my order or fix the disaster that this genius created. All of a sudden out of the back here comes Mark with my V10 phone to save the day. Another 45 minutes of my life to hear him talk about himself to finally walk out with my receipts and returns from items he sold me that weren't there. Think it ends here? Yeah me too! Today for the 4th time i received a text message saying if i don't return my old cell i will be charged the 174.99 i was credited with the day of my return. Today the 31st of December. So for the 4th time i call AT&T expecting to hear don't worry you have a receipt you're good. Today i get told go to the store and hash it out with them, funny thing i was on business in Florida and have since returned to San Diego. I explain to the man i am active duty military and have a RECEIPT with everything from store location to this fools Sales Rep ID why do i have to do anything?! He tells me to avoid a charge. Long story not so short DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS STORE!!!! If you need anything and it CANT wait switch carriers. These people are fools and have no idea how to run a business. This is one of their "stores of the future" and has a lot of seating, a TV, and looks a lot more modern than most AT&T stores. I've been here a couple times and have always checked in and been waited on pretty quickly. They even have a screen on the wall so you can see how many people are ahead of you. Employees have always been friendly and knowledgeable about what I needed. Worst part is probably dealing with Waterford traffic but once you are inside it is usually a quick and painless process. read more

Greeted by an employee at the door, they inquire about your problem and take down your information to put you on a waiting list instead of helping you right then and there. You WILL spend all of eternity on that waiting list, I felt like I was at the DMV on a Friday afternoon and there were only 5 people in front of me! There are only 3 computers to help people there, so no matter how nice the employees are there's nothing they can do. My boyfriend and I have been trying to find a good deal on the new iPhones. The first time we went in to find out we could not get a good deal because we did not want to add Directv or internet to get the BOGO. We came in 2 weeks later and Mark immediately remembered us and said that he was thinking of us when a new deal came out a day after. The store it self is amazing! Very moderate and interesting to walk around and see the different stuff they have. As for the customer service, let's say I almost walked out into a different provider. I asked them to upgrade my self service, and the response was "you can not do that until you get our internet and TV services" and literally ignore my request and continued on with the quote with there other service. After arguing back that I only want to update my service, and almost calling at&t, they sent me to someone else who did the exact same thing!! I told him to just give me that service and don't do anything else!! In addition, when I walked into the store, it took someone 10 min to check me in, which is the manager, after she was chatting her way and ignoring the long line at the door. As the store closed the door at 9 pm, the manager left the employees with the huge line, locked the door, picked her bag pack and left. We all had almost an hour for being helped. Absolutely HILARIOUS to see the fact that Mr.Manager Jose already has MULTIPLE complaints against him for his attitude and demeanor. I will definitely be forwarding this to corporate. Please do yourself a favor, even if you have to drive a few extra miles refrain from this store at all costs. The customer service is a joke, let alone the respect for the customers. I've had the absolute most humiliating and worst encounter of my life with the manager at this location by the name of Jose. He was very dismissive of my issues, not empathetic at all, and even proceeded to attempt to mock me with his employees. As a business owner myself, I know customer service and satisfaction. I would be extremely infuriated if a poor employee like Jose and his demeanor was the result of three loyal customers for over 10 years terminated service with my company. I've been to this location multiple times and I've had to return defective devices not once, but MULTIPLE times. Not one time was any kind of courtesy offering or any empathy offered towards the fact that I was repeatedly sold defective devices. I've consistently invested hundreds of dollars into device protection upon my purchases to ensure that I have adequate protection just to have to return the devices days later. This effectively rendering my expensive screen protector and some case purchases USELESS and wasted money. Guess what makes it even better, the lifetime protection that invishield has can't even be claimed. Want to know why? Mr.Jose and his staff members kept the old phone WITH my personally purchased screen protector. Yes, that's right. They kept an accessory on a device that they did not even pay for. To top it all off his responses to my remarks about filing a complaint about his extremely irresponsible and unacceptable behavior was "Go ahead". This is nothing new though as his other comments were "Take it up with corporate", and things reminiscent of phrases such as "Not my problem". Upon notifying Mr.Manager of my extreme dissatisfaction with their customer service what does he proceed to do ? Laugh it off in my face in front of everyone and humiliate me. So in short we can all now understand the treatment I've received from this retail location on this day from ATT's prized manager will be the reason why I'm cancelling my service after MORE than 10 years ( Cingular days ). We saw the BOGO deal at the Best Buy in Waterford Lakes and the people there told us that our bill should end up being $146 plus tax every month. They said that we would have 2-3 high bills at $177, a really low bill where you're credited everything you've paid towards the free phone, and then each month after that would be regulated at the $146. To make sure that we had done our homework before going on contract, we even checked with an AT&T store and called customer service, where each of them agreed with Best Buy's numbers. The initial shock was that our bills were over $200. We called AT&T about three times in this period hoping to get the issue fixed, and they told us that the credits were delayed, and it would kick in soon. We never got the low bill, but they did regulate, although at the $177 we were supposed to be paying initially. We called and spoke with a woman who sounded like the last thing she wanted to do was help us. We asked to get transferred and she hung up on us. We called back and spoke with another woman named Kalea who said she could actually get our bill down to $126 a month, which we were incredibly happy with given the circumstances. We waited; three months go by with literally no change in our bill . We call again and got Chase, who seemed more than willing to help. He said that the quote of $126 was not honorable by any employee and he doesn't know how she came up with such a price. Needless to say, we were rather deflated. He told us that he could, however, get our bill to down to $147 plus tax, which we agreed with, as it was relatively close to what we had first anticipated. He also got that specific bill cycle down to $138, and we thought we were going to be in the clear. Our bill skyrocketed to $209. We decided that it was time to contact corporate, so we sent a letter to the AT&T President's office. An Africa D. responded, and we thought we could finally see some relief with our billing. She said that the most she could offer us is one month's worth of our bill credited back to our account and that she did not have the authority to do anything more. That amount of money was still far from equivalent to our losses when we're paying over $20 a month more than we were supposed to for the next 30 months. She told us that if we did not like the solution, we were more than welcome to cut our losses, return the phones to AT&T, and be dismissed from our contract. After we had already paid several hundred dollars towards our phones. We were incredibly surprised when she told us that $177 per month actually wasn't correct, but we should instead be paying $184. And so our bill went up to $184. In seeking some help to rectify the additional expenses to our account, AT&T corporate decided that our bill wasn't high enough. We were again shocked to find out that even though our automatic payment had already come out on June 8th, we were charged again on June 23rd, as our payment date had changed without our notice. So even after going through everything that we already had, AT&T charges us a full 15 days early, which made for two bills in one month, or about $400 worth of payments. We decided to pay off the phones to get off the contract ourselves and ended up pulling the $1500 out of pocket to do so. We went into another carrier to try and switch over, and everything was going smoothly, until we find out that AT&T only asks for an unlock code for your phones after your service has already started transferring. And even though the AT&T employees could see that we had paid our phones in full, they would not supply us with an unlock code until our payment had been in their system for 24 hours. We were left without phone service, unable to fully switch our account over, for a full 24 hours. I wish I can write this review knowing that at least corporate had tried to help but I'm afraid that we'll be exiting their contract just as disappointed as when we started it. read more

AT&T does not stand behind there product or the company that provides them with there product 5 months ago I purchased a Samsung S7 active where in big letters and advertising states water and shatter resistant up to 5ft on flat surface and 5 ft of water for 30 min. This is fails advertisement from both AT&T and Samsung and neither company after hours on the phone with Samsung in a AT&T store where able to help me as a customer or provide me with answers to my questions. Cause of concern center button on my phone was starting to stick which in return caused screen to crack between home button and return button no damages on phone from dropping or slamming or even water / liquid spills samsung in my case will not or is not standing behind there product AT&T stated from supervisors quote "there is nothing we can do or help you with must call samsung." After calling samsung they said quote " you must go to your provider for assistance and concern being only 5 months old phone" so running back and forth to get the big answer told to me by both samsung and AT&T " YOU CAN GO TO A THIRD PART REPAIR STORE FOR A REPAIR BUT IT WILL COST YOU OUT OF POCKET CAUSE WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE " so thank you AT&T for having no problem taking my money every month and thank you samsung for charging me 700+ dollars for a phone that you advertise as durable in big bold print and not stand behind your product if I can give a no star rating for the store and for Samsung's poor quality phones I would but I should be lucky to say I didn't buy the Samsung blow up in your pocket / car phone I can only imagine what they would say then. read more

If I could give negative stars I would! DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!! I have been told multiple lies from this store! I am someone who asks a lot of questions before hand to make sure things go as stated by the AT&T employees when the bill comes. Silly me for believing a company would do what its employees say. All they care about is gaining new customers to screw over. Before I canceled my service I went to this store a month in advance to find out what dates I could cancel without receiving any cancelation fees/equipment fees and to confirm that if I cancel before the billing cycle ended (that was already paid for in full the previous month) that I would receive credits for dates of service not used. They told me I would receive a credit for 3 days of service. NOT TRUE! The billing dept. says that is does not pro rate the billing cycle and that I will not be credited. I also asked a month in advance if I waited 3 days to pay the bill after the bill was due so that the last bill with att could be generated for credits would they waive the late fee. They agreed and said they would notate the account. ANOTHER LIE! I didn't receive the credits and I now have a late fee. Last but not least not only did i not receive credits for days of service i did not use that I previously paid for, i was also charged for a full month service for dates I would no longer be with this company. Example. My bill is due on Dec. 1st which includes monthly service charges for dec. 7th to Jan 6th. Remember, I am not going to be with the company after dec. 3rd. I was canceling on dec 3rd. The data service charges/monthly plan charges were from dec. 7 to Jan 6th (Because we are on a pay in advance) I went over this with 2 employees and a manger by the name of TERESA. They agreed I should have credits for dates not used (Dec. 3rd-dec. 6th) and I should be expecting a refund for the bill I paid on dec. 1st because the monthly charges showed were for the next month. The MANAGER TERESA said "you should have no problem getting your refund and if you don't come back and see me and I will take care of it! Biggest lie!! When I went back in to ask her why I didn't get my refund , everything changed. She now says I owe the money and she can't do anything. In fact she just walked away because she couldn't handle me trying to get an honest answer out of her on why she lied to me when she said she would take care of me getting my refund. All she could say was I don't remember seeing the actual monthly services dates that me her and my fiancé were all staring at a month prior. "Well you are the manager aren't you Teresa? I'm sure you were smart enough to write down some notes on the account to remind yourself what we were all seeing that day"? NOPE! NO NOTE! Couldn't even get that right. You see what happen was when the company knew we were canceling when it generated the last bill the monthly service dates changed to the previous month and I was told I still have to pay it because these are now the service days showing! I was not suppose to pay a bill dec. 1 because I was not going to have the services from dec.7 to jan 6th. This is a scam. They dont expect you to read your bills and to remember what months you are paying for years later when you want to cancel and to just pay it and if you don't they will just send it to collections. If you like companies who's employees lie to you to get you out of the store or you like being overcharged then this is the place for you. What an awful, awful experience! I took my 80 year old mother in to upgrade her phone during her visit. As soon as we left the store, the phone was unresponsive. Our salesperson, Enrique's response was that it responded when he tested it before we left. They recycled the power and the phone did exactly the same thing; worked for a few seconds and then stopped. I requested a new phone as this clearly was a defective phone and after having 4 or so sales associates come over and try unsuccessfully and proclaim how "strangely" this phone was acting, they refused to provide me with a working phone unless I paid a $35 restocking fee. Yes, I had to pay extra to get a working phone 30 minutes after leaving the store. Their only advice to me was that I needed to go to an Apple Store because there was nothing they could do. I explained that my mother was leaving in 1 day and that I wanted her to leave with a working phone, not send an 80 year old woman to the Apple Store. Their solution, "for $35, we can turn her old phone back on." This was absolutely the WORST customer service experience ever! I will never shop there again. I should have known given the hard upsell when we purchased the phone to the point where I had to recalculate the rates he quoted and my numbers were correct. Poorly run store.
