I confronted the guy right after he switched it out that the quality of the screen was super terrible, but he tried to say that this is the brand they use all the time without any issues. However, he then all of the sudden offered another (shitty) brand I didn't like either when I asked to out my original broken screen back on. I told him he needs to be upfront with the customers that his quality is not as good as the original one before providing any service. And when I wanted to leave with my original screen, he then proceeded to say we owe him $49.99 for just switching screens. Do not trust them. Rip off!

He was very kind and did his best to repair a difficult product (right to repair is a thing, Apple), and gave me a very good price for the work he put into fixing my phone. This kind of thing takes skill and he deserves to be compensated and treated fairly for his effort. I hope I won't break my phone again but if I do, I will go here first.

I immediately filed a claim and my phone was scheduled to be delivered between 7pm and 9pm the next Monday. I also filed a claim at United Center and guess what... Monday afternoon they found my phone!!!! I immediately call AT&T and Asuruon and they tell me they can't intercept the order and not to accept it. So, I am driving home all happy and I call my son who is on the spectrum by the way and asked if he wanted Chili's for dinner. I told him to tell the agent the phone is no longer needed. Apparently, he had just signed for me thinking he was being helpful and ran to catch the tech who's name is Desiree by the way to tell her thats OK. Desiree refused to take the phone back ( my son handed the phone to me) and I shared that my son did not know what he was signing. She said she did not care that he had Autism, he is over 18. She refused to give me her name or her supervisors name and left my son distraught because he had signed something he didnt understand. This was truly an easy fix and a lesson for me to reinforce with ny son the importance of signing for something without understanding. Desiree needs some social skills and common sense training. Asurion needs a new policy and that is a multifactor check fir signatures! I am going to give them a chance to fix but I dont know how. Now, I have a phone that I have to return at cost and time. I am more disappointed in my exchange with Desiree because she intentionally did not provide her name, id number or any credentials and her response to my son's response was cold & heartles! I could have easily moved documents there and freed up home drive space on my ipad. Wasted $500! Also, I went in about a month later to cancel a Verizon mifi device they sold me 2 years ago. Again, because they are only a franchise store they don't have the ability to cancel it or even provide me instructions. The Gurnee store said it was simply a matter of me calling 611 from my phone. Wasted money and time here and learned my lesson!

First, he said it could only be used with a newly activated phone although the card said nothing of the sort. When I pointed that out to him, he said it could only be used at a corporate store even though the address on the card was for the Grayslake franchise. He was "too busy" hanging accessories up in the back of the store to bother assisting a customer. I went to the Gurnee corporate Verizon store instead to purchase my phone. Will never go back to the Grayslake location.
