The customer service at the Truxel Road AT&T store was pretty much non existent. I did a next upgrade for 2 of my iPhones but they weren't in-stock for me to take home the day-of, so the sales person had them shipped to the store so I could come back have them deal with transitioning to the new devices from the old and also so I could get accessories. When I came back to pick the devices up and have them assist me with the transfer and activation, I was told they didn't have time for me and rather rudely had the boxes shoved at me and then I was told to go home and do it myself and then to either come back AGAIN to drop off the old devices within 30 days or I could ship them. I returned the next day to turn in my old devices and after about 20 minutes of them trying to figure out how to use their system and process this NEXT trade-in, I was then told by the same short, long-haired male, that they don't take phones for NEXT in-store and I had to ship them even though I was told otherwise originally. I also looked on AT&Ts website and confirmed I could return them in person at an AT&T store but they said that they couldn't do it and I had to mail them back. Never once was there an apology for their rudeness or providing me with incorrect info, nor any recognition that they have had me coming back and forth. Horrible service, we have been to this store for many years and lately their team really sucks at doing their work, they really have do some training before they are sent to the floor we walk in to buy a phone case and a couple of other items and we asked if they could put the case on for us and they said yes but then he guy named Jose put it on and he put it on wrong to the point that we couldn't push the buttons on side, anywho he asks us to go to the manager which he cover his name tag and and said that they where not trained to put phone cases on the phones, then they should say that before opening packages just say we don't install accessories leave clear at the beginning don't just do stuff wrong ( manager was worse the the regular worker, he is a short kid with a mustache ) never going back to this specific store. read more

Deeply unsatisfied with the service provided here. The salesperson continued to try and upsell us internet packages despite us refusing for over 20 minutes when we only came in for phone upgrades. The manager came out and wasn't able to upgrade our phones because their systems were acting "finicky" and then he tried to upsell us the same internet repeatedly despite our protests as that's not what we came in for. I created a Yelp account just because my experience was so disheartening. I'm writing to formally file a complaint regarding my recent experience at an AT&T retail location. I went into the store simply to review my bill and understand why it had increased. I was assisted by an employee who identified himself as Tim and stated that he was the manager. Instead of clearly explaining the charges on my account, he began attempting to make changes without my permission. I had to repeatedly clarify that I did not authorize any modifications to my plan. In addition, he persistently pressured me to add additional lines to my account, even after I made it clear that I had no need or interest in doing so. The interaction felt more like a high-pressure sales situation than customer support. I came in for clarification on my bill, not to be upsold on services I did not request. What was especially concerning was the way he spoke to his employees. While I was in the store, I observed him addressing staff in a tone that was dismissive and rude. It created an uncomfortable environment and did not reflect the level of professionalism I would expect from someone in a management position. Overall, the experience was frustrating and disappointing. I don't leave reviews, but I came in to get my wifi set up. It should be simple I had the modem and router, and made sure to set an appointment. I got here right on time, no line, no other customers to help. The only person that spoke to me said to sit at the table and call customer service. I sat there for an hour on the customer service line. Just don't come in to this store the att customer service line, for all its faults, is somehow more helpful than the people working here. Go to any other store to get your phone or service set up. I watched 3 people come in, and 1 phone call, while I sat in trying to get wifi and all got treated in the same dismissive way. This place has the worst customer service. They are always understaff. There are 3 or 4 people in the back, and they can't even come support the people in the store. Literally one of them just finished helping someone and instead of helping the next person in line, she went to the back to chat with her friend. I understand this aren't high paying jobs, and unfortunately, people have to work 2-3 jobs to make ends meet and conditions may not be ideal, so not blaming staff for doing a poor job in a badly pay job, but even in the worst of situations, you should always try to do your best. Also, everything takes so long here. They are always packed and they never have more than 2-3 people on the floor. I needed to make some changes to my mobile plan (simply add a professional discount) and to upgrade my phone. So I called AT&T first just to get an idea of how to proceed. They told me it was really easy, that all I had to do was go into the store and talk to them about it. Great! I go into this store and was told by the Caucasian male employee there that I needed to be an authorized user to make any changes or upgrades. Which is fair. I then told him I was an authorized user and he checked, and then he tells me "no, you're not." Really confused me, so I told him that I was before, and then he goes "well I don't know, but you're not one now." Was really taken back by his response. Offered no advice, just said the primary account holder needed to make me an authorized user. Real stand-offish attitude, and I really try not to place judgement on customer service reps/retail workers cuz I used to be one and I know the stress that comes along with it, but this guy was just in the worst mood. Basically told me to kick rocks. Whatever bro. I decided not to press the situation and drove home. I then went online just to click around and see if I was able to get any of this done on my own (in retrospect, should have just done this to begin with). Not only was I able to add the discount without being an authorized user, I was able to upgrade my phone online too, and even process my old phone to trade in. I was even able to make myself an authorized user so I could go back to the store and trade in my old phone and pick up my new one. All without going through the primary account holder. I scheduled my trade in drop off and upgrade pick up for the same day at the same store (it's the closest to me). Went back and worked with a different employee to complete both transactions. During each step of this process, the only actual AT&T employee that was helpful was the one I dropped my trade in phone to, who happened to be the same one I picked my new phone up from. And that was only easy because all of the work to process the upgrade and trade in the phone was done at my home. By me. Online. Wild. This is why AI is taking over. read more

I recently had the pleasure of being assisted by Dafne A at AT&T Mobility store 3591 Truxel Rd. I must say, it was the best phone store experience I've ever had. My brother and I went in to add him to my plan and find him a new phone. Dafne listened carefully to our needs and didn't try to upsell us on unnecessary features but still made us aware of what they were. She was incredibly patient and so knowledgeable, explaining the different phone options and plan details in a clear and understandable way. Thanks to Dafne, my brother got the exact phone he needed, and adding him to my plan was a breeze. We chose the Pixl9 xl for him because of the features he liked and the promo was great. Employees at this location need training.. They only know how to process bill payments here which I could've used the kiosk to do so. After my bill payment was processed I inquired about what I can do to lower my phone bill. I was told all that can be offered to be done in store is to remove my insurance. I went home and called the customer service line and was able to have my bill reduced by $30 by removing a couple features. I asked if this was something that could've been done in store? I was quickly greeted and assisted by representative Yasmin, who was friendly and knowledgeable, and overall made the process quick and easy. This review is for Minovis only . She really helped me. I had a lot of issues and had to come to the store multiple times and she was so helpful. Rather than turning me away like the other store representatives she actually called their support number to try to help. Other store representatives just say to call the customer service number even though customer service is literally telling me to go to the store where the issue happened. She opened up a case and the issue was able to be resolved. Came today to upgrade my iPhone from the 6 to the 6s! I thought it would be crazy busy on Friday but when we came it was only a 10 minute wait. We were greeted right away but the employee who took our name down! We were assisted by Vanessa Mae who was extremely nice and helped us through the process. She actually helped us last year with he iPhone 6 upgrade so we were happy to see her again! Vanessa is extremely professional and did her best to get us the best deal regarding the upgrade. She explained each detail from month to month payments, buy back deals, etc. Vanessa walked us through our new iPhone set ups as well and even out our occurring phone screen protectors on our new phones! I went in because I got a text that my trade-in I made a few weeks prior is now not qualified for credit. How is this possible when I have a device trade-in reciept. I had to come in three different times after being blatantly lied to by the staff. The At&T at Del Paso confirmed that the text indicated my Device Trade-In reciept was rendered invalid. They told me lies like it was a fake text and that it was a glitch. Before they connected me with the trade-in personel via phone, they went in the back to discuss probably how they were going to lie to me next. While trying to ask questions about why I got the text about my trade in not being accepted, the trade in person hung up the call. My next step is to go to Del Paso and beg them to step in and reinstate a Device Trade-In Reciept. Here is the injustice of it: I get a trade in deal, I have 14 days to return the phone, on the 25th when its too late to return the phone, they go back on their word and invalidate my trade in. I dont understand what South Natomas store has to gain by lying and not reissuing my trade in. Also, if it is a glitch, where is my apology? read more

My boyfriend came here before work to get a new charger and protective case for his new Samsun. I came along with him and waited in the car, when he came back, he was upset and frustrated saying it cost $130. That's obviously expected for what he got, but when he showed me his phone, I was in disbelief. The person who assisted him put the screen protector on for him, and I understand they are very tricky to put on, but when I saw the screen protector, it was awful. I couldn't believe they let him walk out with the screen having huge air bubbles under it and they applied it too low so it did not fit in the Otter box case. I tried getting the air bubbles out myself and told him I would go back inside and get it fixed for him, but he was already running late for work. I was PISSED. I don't care that it had air bubbles, I care that they didn't offer to fix it and own up to their mistake. He even told me they took it off, and applied the same screen protector back on, which I know can cause the adhesive to not be as good. I apply my own screen protectors on myself for my iPhone and I do a MUCH better job than this. Again, I don't care that they messed up, I care that they didn't even own up to their mistake and actually give my boyfriend a nice looking screen protector. My boyfriend was late to work and too upset to go back and get it fixed. This happened about a week ago and I have been meaning to leave a review or give them a call about it, but as we all know, life gets really busy. My boyfriend works a minimum wage job and spending money on even essential things is not easy especially with gas prices being so expensive. He considered just taking the protector off right after we left because it looked so bad and wasn't put on correctly. Again, I know these things are tricky, but if this is somebody's job and THEY offered to do it for you and delivered you this, who would you feel? read more

I spoke to many customer service representatives and stated that I can go to a local store and they would be able to reset my phone. That was not the case. They were no help at all. We had lots of issues with billing after switching to ATT internet and mobile. We were told that we would get $10 discount for the internet service if we sign up for auto pay and paperless. Was told the effect kicks in immediately since we signed up for the promotion at installation. After 3 months, the bill is still not accurate. After multiple calls, was told it was $5 discount, not $10. Said I must have misunderstood...regardless of my multiple calls, nothing changed... I hate this AT&T store. The wait is long, they take forever, right when you come in the person just comes up to you and says, "name" like no proper greeting whatsoever. I went here to get my own line and I did. However, there were some complications with the new phone number and somehow, someway, the phone # got recycled when I literally just activated it a couple weeks ago. Granted, I was waiting for my new phone to come in. So when I went back the worker informed me because I didn't have access to the account with that phone number he had to "add" a new line onto my account to give him access. He told me that he will cancel that line the same day it should not affect me whatsoever. Ha! Sike! Low & behold, 3 months later I get a letter stating I got set to collection by AT&T for a number that no longer exists! And I never used in my life. I went back to tell them I got sent to collection and the best the manager could do was apply $25 credit to my account because they already "paid" off the credit so that's all they can do. YOU SENT ME TO COLLECTION OVER SOMETHING I DIDN'T DO! That's on my credit history! I hate this place. Never again. read more

Me and my husband went for the promo to upgrade our S10 to S22 ultra mid April. I was so excited for the deal. However, the rep who's helping us is so much in a hurry to wipe out our old phones that she didn't bother checking with us if all the files properly transferred. I told her to wait until it's done, but no she left with our phones. When the transfer is done and realized I can't find my pictures and videos, she just simply said oh I guess it didn't back up properly. Wtf!?!?!! Me and my husband lost over 6 years of pictures and videos in both of our phones so we know its the rep who didnt know what she's doing. Those are priceless and irreplaceable. Usually, I hate up sales, but Teresa didn't push hard for the sale instead presented my options. She took the time to run the numbers for each choice, so I was able to do a side by side comparison. For just a little bit more I got unlimited data and DirectTV Now and she got me a free new phone case, a free amazon fire stick, waived the activation fee plus $10 off my monthly bill. I was spending about the same in monthly overage charges, so technically my bill is more I will be paying about the same. Teresa verified each and every promotion with her manager. No false promises or bait and switch. She wrote it all out for me. I know exactly what to expect on next month's bill and all my bills to follow.
