My cell wasn't charging. Called and got a quote. Price seemed reasonable. Came down and was told to come back in 30 minutes to pick up my phone. I wandered around lost without my best companion (my cellphone) and came back into the store about 15 minutes later. The gentleman was helping another customer but signaled to his buddy in the back. Great customer service with a knack for getting it right the first time and in a quick fashion. Have the unfortunate ability to crack my screens on what seems to be more than Victoria Secret has their semi annual sale. So finding a place that can fix it cheaper than other places while maintaining the quality I want is hard. To my surprise I found The Cell Phone Store and haven't been to another retailer since. They have full stock of cell phone cases and chargers. They also repair computers, phones and tablets. It's a one stop shop for anything electronic and it's located right off the freeway in West Sacramento off Harbor Blvd. The workers are all bilingual in Spanish. I hope in the future BUYERS BEWARE that if you receive your phone/tablet screen or charging port cracked that these guys will act like the crack was there the whole time. Also it is true that when they give you a time frame add a couple hours or days to the time. I brought my moms tablet to repair and there was a crack on the screen and there was a crack next to the charging port when they returned it to me. I mentioned it to them and they acted like those cracks were there from the beginning. A few weeks later the tablet doesn't even charge anymore. So basically my mom has to get a whole new tablet. read more

I bought a xs max "factory unlocked" and it was not it was only unlocked by them. I reset my phone to erase all data and it locked i had to pay someone else to unlock it again. They sold my sister 2 phones that were supposed to be factory unlocked as well but were not!!! Do not trust them. I use to buy my phones here but i will never buy from them again. Their advertising is false why not just say their unlocked to use on any carrier instead of lying and saying they are "factory unlocked". read more

I brought my Galaxy phone in because it was not charging properly. They diagnosed the problem and said the charging port needed replacement. They said they would call me the next day when the work would be complete. After two days I called them for an update and was told it would be ready the next day. I still had not received a call but returned to the store late the next day. They said the repair was complete and I paid them $80.  The next time I connected the charger the phone overheated, shut down, and quickly discharged. I returned the phone to the store and they said they would call me once the issue was diagnosed. After two days I called them for an update. They told me they were going to replace the charging port capacitor for no extra charge. I asked them to call me once the work was complete. I did not receive a call from them... ever. Every few days I called them for an update. Each time they said they were waiting on parts, or that they had tried another fix but the phone was still not working. Each time I explained that I did not want to spend any more money and that I would not authorize any work that would result in an additional charge. They assured me they would not attempt any work that would result in a charge, but that they were still trying.  Finally, after three weeks of calling them for updates they told me my phone was ready to be picked up. When I came to pick up the phone they told me they had replaced the screen and glass which would normally cost $320, but that they would only charge me an additional $80 in exchange for my phone. After a heated exchange they gave me my phone without additional charge.  They did, in fact, replace the screen and glass... with the wrong color.  My custom two-tone phone now works properly, but the three week ordeal without any effort to contact me and an attempted extortion was not worth it! read more

Went in yesterday at 3:00 PM to have the battery and charge port on my iPhone 5s replaced and was told that it could be done in an hour and a half and that they'd call me when it was ready (or if they needed more time). Didn't hear anything by 5:20, but I decided to head over anyway 'cause I wasn't even sure what time they would close. Strike one. I've had issues with work done on phones before, so I made sure to look it over before paying. The battery was at 23% when they handed the phone to me and advised me to reset the network settings, but it quickly powered down when the battery dropped down to 1% in less than a minute. So much for it having a new battery, right? The guy (don't know his name, but he seemed like the store manager) then asked if the phone had suffered any water damage. I told him that it had within the last year and he replied that I should have mentioned it earlier because that requires more work. I'm sorry, are you not the "professional"? That's kind of why I came to you instead of trying to fix it myself, don't you think? Shouldn't you have asked or mentioned something when I first came in? Did none of you notice any issues when working on the phone? I mean, come on! Strike two. And then, as if he was doing me the biggest favor of his life by even offering (seriously, he all but rolled his damn eyes as if I wasn't frustrated too), he goes on that they could do the work needed, but it would take at least a day. I don't live in the area and rely on my phone for work, so I declined and asked him to just undo whatever the hell they claimed they did to the phone in the first place. He said that would take 20 minutes but handed the phone back to me in 5. Again, I'm not the "professional" here, but it's pretty shady that they were able to reverse two hours of work in FIVE MINUTES. read more

The cellphone store saved me more then 50% for the exact job a similar repair shop offered. I needed a batter replaced and installed on a Mac-book Air and a tune up. Efren the technician sent me text messages with updates and any questions that he had in fixing the mac. The price was very fair, I felt like I under paid. I'm very pleased with this place, I've had an iPhone basically rebuilt there that was dropped and shattered all to pieces. Yesterday I had a charging port replaced on a droid, and a hard plastic screen protector replaced on a different droid. Rebuilding the iPhone took about an hour, works/looks great. Charging port and screen protector took about 45 min for both. Prices are very reasonable, and seem pretty honest. I like the fact that Efren does a lot of charity work for an important non-profit organization locally in town. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. I don't even know where to begin. I brought it an iPhone 5s to get an ESTIMATE on how much it would be to get a screen fixed. I left the phone there due to them "being busy". I was told I would be given a call within an hour. I had to call after several hours had passed by they informed me that the screen was fixed ( I never gave them the ok) and it would be 80. After discussing with them that going ahead with procedures without the customers concent was ridiculous. My phone then started having screen/ battery issues so once again I dropped of the phone , I had to call the next day and they said they had switched the battery and reprogrammed the software. After picking it up I noticed that they where handing me someone else's phone and actually let me get as far as the car. I went back in a requested my phone back. I then had a pretty good idea that they in fact hadn't even touched my phone let alone fix it. So i left it and came back AGAIN.. I was told to come back at 6:30 I didn't get back until 7 thinking to give them extra time. I received my phone back as I drove home I noticed the phone had the same issues . by this point i just wanted my money back. I called and they agreed to return my money as long as they got there battery back, which was not a problem on my behalf. I went back the next day and they refused to give me my money back and offered to give me store credit. Now how in there right mind would ever want to spend money there after this horrible ordeal. HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION. They need to take some customer service courses ASAP!!!! By the way I ended up taking it to apple and they informed me that during the screen replacement process the individual who fixed it only messed up the hardware. Smh!!!! read more

Need a new charging port on my Note 4. They did a free diagnostic and quick repair in 90 minutes for $55. Great deal on my opinion.

I went in with a broken screen and paid for a screen and a protective cover. Walked out and noticed my protective cover cracked a couple weeks later . Went back in and they said THERE IS NO COVER ON THE PHONE. I told them i paid for one and they made me buy another screen AND cover. I got mad at them and they kept my phone for two hours and when they gave it back it only worked about 20% of the time. THEY SAID ITS NOT THEIR PROBLEM AND THAT CHANGING THE GLASS WOULD NOT HURT MY PHONE. The best part is when I traded that phone in a month later ( i had to as it didn't work) T-Mobile said it was listed as stolen! They Cell Store took out my good parts and put in stolen stuff. I must have seen 10 people come in that store and sell stolen stuff. This place is Ghetto and they are thieves. DON'T GO IN THERE! read more

I brought my daughters iPhone 4 in to replace front and back. I was told it would be ready the next day. The next day they called to say it would be another day because they had to order the parts. A couple days later I called to see if it was ready and I was told they were having a problem with the power button and they were going to replace free of charge, but that the glass was already done and they would call when it was done. A week later I went in to see what was going on. Only one side had been replaced. I waited there for them to replace the other side which was not even the same color as the front and they never even did anything with the power button. Will never go back there again. read more

My husband's LG G3 was useless. The LG logo would just flash when the phone was turned on. I tried all of the troubleshooting fixes I could find with no luck. The factory warranty had expired and the $9 a month that we pay in extra insurance from our carrier did not cover hardware or software issues. (which is crap, I know). Anyway, I took his phone into the Cellphone Store and they did an amazing job! They ended up having to replace a switch on the motherboard which is not something that a normal person would even begin to know how to do. The phone works perfect and they managed to save all of the apps, contacts, photos, etc. The customer service was top notch & I would 100% use them again if I ever have any i cell phone, tablet or lap top issues. read more

I was under the gun to get a new battery and screen for my 12-year-old daughter's IPhone 5 and had tried two other stores late afternoon Saturday with no luck. I called The Cellphone Store asking only about the battery (because one of the other stores said they didn't replace IPhone 5 screens anymore). They were very nice over the phone, said they were open until 8 and double-checked that they had the right battery before I drove there. When I arrived they said they could also do the screen, no grumbling at all, and all for less than the quote I got at the other store. Anthony completed the repair in the hour he estimated and threw in a screen protector for free. He also advised me on how to charge the phone to increase the life of the battery.
