I switched to AT&T specifically because the sales staff at this store said I qualified for a rebate to payoff my phone and they helped me file the specific paperwork to do so reviewing each and every step I did. Since signing up for service over a year ago I have yet to receive the rebate and have gotten transferred to different salespeople, different managers, they even told me I must have done something wrong even though they helped me each step of the way to file the forms. They have admitted that I did qualify for the rebate but have yet to give me a verifiable update as to the status of actually getting it. The internet and cell service compared to the Spectrum service I previously had isn't much different and getting the run around has been extremely frustrating. if you are looking to switch to AT&T I wouldn't expect a dramatic difference between them and other cellular providers. I would caution against going to this specific store for the fact that after 12+ months I haven't been able to get reliable information from them on my rebate that they promised during their sales pitch. read more

After spending several hours on the phone last night with the AT&T support staff in the Philippines and getting nowhere but more frustrated with the time he was taking trying to fix the issue in several different ways without a clue I thanked him and worried all night long. I drove to SLO to find the most professional and competent AT&T representative ever named April. I explained the issue and she immediately was able to fix the problem. Ordered an iPhone 17 pro paid and got the order through when I went to go pick up the order, they result in telling me that they had sold it in the morning when they opened. Why accept online orders if you aren't gonna check them and just sell them to others and then try not to get yourself in trouble and just 'claim' there's no more phones in store. Proceed to get the for how to cancel the order and get my money back and she said she can't cancel it on her end. Staff here are unhelpful and rude. Came in because my phone was so slow it wasn't even loading anything and they kept trying to explain that I had some basic package but that wasn't even the issue. Get this I just had to turn on airplane mode and reset my phone, should've been a quick one minute fix but they want to try to steal your hard earned money and waste your valuable time. The WORST customer service experience I have seen after managing telecom service centers for 40 years. The AT&T billing system is a software disaster to start with. More often than not any changes represented by employees do not appear on the next bill (echo other reviewers' comments). Attempting to call AT&T is an equal nightmare. It's obvious they do everything they can to discourage and avoid taking calls. After pushing interminable buttons, calls end up in some third world country with illiterate staff. So the last resort is the local store - also a train wreck. This time was told by an unfriendly rep who acted like he was doing me a favor that I had to wait half an hour until another employee showed up. I walked out and threw my hands up in disgust. Called the store later to make an appointment. Was scolded by the rude "manager" April for having previously left. At the time of the appointment the appropriate staff member did not show up. So rude April attempted to handle and advised "I can't speak on that ", whatever that means. She finally admitted AT&T erred with its billing so I thanked her, to which she rudely responded "I don't need that". Her entire demeanor was coarse and unprofessional. She has no business dealing with customers. Area Manager Andre Chagoya needs to re-assign her to a back room somewhere. I'll address with senior management at the next AT&T shareholder meeting. read more

Came into the store on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Was greeted by Jorge right away. I broke down my situation with my moms phone. He was more than helpful, and knowledgeable. Jorge gave us lots of options for phones. Ultimately I didn't end up purchasing a device directly from the store, however he assisted in a phone activation. What a nightmare! I will never set foot in this store again unless it is an absolute emergency! Went in to ask about deleting a tablet from our phone bill and was told that would have to be done over the phone. Then asked about some information on upgrading our phones. We were told that we wouldn't be able to upgrade until we took care of the deleting the tablet (lie). So we went to the Apple Store to do the upgrade as this store didn't have any iPhones in stock anyway. Did the upgrade with Apple, then went back to this store to turn in my old phone for the credits. I was then SCOLDED by 2 different employees (Chris was one of them, and a younger girl) and told that "this is why we tell you not to do it this way and do everything in the store". Well I would have done the whole process in the store if any of their employees were even remotely helpful or pleasant to work with!!! Terrible service, rude staff, they lie to try and get you to do everything in their store. Worse customer service ever! I finally did the switch over to T-mobile and needed to unlock my phone. I tried online first while at the TMobile store but had trouble doing so. Went in person to this location closest to me since I was told they would be able to do it by another ATT employee at another location via rep at T-Mobile (they knew each other). Went in, All four employees that were there said they had no way to do so and that the only way was online or to call. Left pissed because I know they straight up lied. Called ATT, had it unlocked and asked the rep on the phone if calling/going on website was the only way - he said no and that it could have been done via store. If I could less than a star I would. The experience my son and I have had with the staff at this store has been atrocious. In attempts to resolve a matter with the wrong phone being ordered, a mistake that was made by the ATT representative there has truly been a little over a month process with no resolve. My son tried to resolve this issue going back and forth between ATT and APPLE getting the run around with both companies. He stated that April was rude and not helpful at all or willing to try to help. Today, I also experienced poor customer service without apologies from April, as she referred me to handle my issue to a store where I'm located in Arizona. I was informed by ATT customer service that the store who originated the transaction would need to reverse the imei number. It just so happens to be this store and oh I failed to mention that I waited on hold for 15 minutes total just to be told April was not able to assist me or my son. read more

Had an encounter today with April, the store manager. She was rude and unhelpful. She kept changing information about the pricing of phones and contradicted herself multiple times. She also did not seem to know the truth behind the promotions and didn't take time to look through any information before answering my questions. DO NOT CHOOSE ATT FOR ANYTHING!!! NOT WORTH THE HASSLE- SUBPAR SERVICE!!! Less than one star really. A million less for the company as a whole. I had ATT internet and since this store is the affiliate and where I purchased my internet box, I wish to ensure that everyone realizes the smarminess of this company as a whole. The lack of any integrity or ethics whatsoever. The subpar service in all manner. I had been with them for years because they were what was available in my neighborhood when I moved in. They switched everyone to U-verse, even though the lines were old and not up to snuff. The service went from bad to worse as the years went on. I called numerous times to get help with the fact that I was getting about 1/3rd the speed I paid for on average- sometimes worse. They upgraded me at no extra charge a couple times to compensate- please note they raised their fees dramatically over the years I had them, so this is negligible. When I finally canceled, I was supposed to be getting 18MBPS (which is slow enough) and I was averaging 1.2 ish. (It would take about 5 nights to finish a movie as the streaming was so bad and I would just give up. Not to mention attempting to use the internet and work with this absurdity.) If you have ever tried resolving something with them, you know I dealt with this for as long as I did because of the hours you will spend doing anything with them. The conversation on 9-26-2022 to finally cancel my service was over an hour. (I was going to try to ride it out to use up my credit but at my new average speed between 5.5 and 1.2 there was just no way I could.) They agree I am owed money back and the amount, yet I have had to phone back numerous times and been given a refund return order number from billing and zero has been returned to credit card. According to their "refunds and account status page their website- Credit or debit card: We'll apply your refund to the card you used to make your payment." Yet I had to go round and round with Kira on 9.26.2022 when she said it could only be issued via a check which would be mailed to me in about 45 days; but if it takes longer than 60 days I can phone back. Repeat and explain to her repeatedly the standard practice of companies (including them if you read their returns and credit page) is to refund the money back to the credit card which it was paid from. I then was given a cancelation number which was supposedly also my refund number. I repeated everything back to her numerous times. I find out on 10-4-2022 by Ronald a billing supervisor (the one time I did get that far) who said the information given to me by Kira as well as Deby on 9.29.2022 was incorrect. NO ONE had submitted a refund request. I receive an actual confirmation number for said. I have been given numerous varying "your money will be returned by X date" dates. You will be told that you cannot speak with a billing supervisor (and even was told my conversation with Ronald was an anomaly. No one should have transferred me directly to him)- they will phone you back at their convenience- which will lead to phone tag and back and forth. One did call me, Mr. Jano, on 10.11.2022 at 9:31 am- I started to explain the situation and the phone then disconnected. When I phoned back, I spoke with Eya. I am on the phone with her for 26.12 minutes. I did not get to have a supervisor to phone back as she would take care of everything- all is in process for my money to be credited by 10.14.2022 (a Friday). She agrees to the amount owed that is to be refunded and that it is indeed my money... I waited until after the weekend to write this to ensure enough time had been given... I've spoken with quite a few people since this fiasco began and those who have ATT say they hate it but the hassle of what I am currently going through and the time and energy to resolve anything keeps them from canceling as well. A number of people have said they have been incorrectly charged numerous times, when they phone to resolve the erroneous charges, they have asked what would have happened if I did not catch this and call. Here's the answer- "well if someone can't catch it and call then it just stays. That's not our responsibility..." Who can take this much time to have YOUR MONEY REFUNDED. Yet it is not ATT's money to keep. So you are forced to waste time and energy. As of this posting, I have not been refunded one cent. I paid for a service for years and never fully received what I was paying for, yet to cancel I am yet again being put through the grind mill to be refunded. This is a fairly broad outline of the issue. I have been taking copious notes to include with letters to various consumer agencies as well as my credit card company. I sincerely hope this keeps people from choosing ATT. Do I have the time to do this- no; but the money is mine and despite that they agree with this, they can't bother to do anything but give me false platitudes regarding the return of it. read more

My friend had fraudulent activity on her account from hackers and they took my friend on a week spin and said the number used was verified but didn't ask for any other forms of verification and denied the fraud that these hackers bought 10 phones on a widows AT&T account. Today they had the phone on hold for 2 hours then spoke and said your fraud was denied and hung up. My friend has to call the CEO's office to get the respect and proper help to get this resolved. Basically what you need to know is if AT&T doesn't like something then they will not listen to you even if you have all the facts and a power of attorney. read more

This is the first experience with a wireless service provider - out of MANY - that was enjoyable. The team was pleasant and the store is in good repair. Brandon Bentley provided a level of service that was on par with my expectations at a high end hotel. Knowledgeable, efficient, and highly respectful of my time - I can't say enough positive about his work. The bar has been set high for the rest of the team. I went in to add International plans on three phones. I decided to go into the store so that I would hopefully receive correct information, and to take care of this task before leaving on my trip to Europe. Alicia waited on me. Gave me information about the cost of the various plans and what my options were. However, when it came time to actually add this service to my account she kept directing me to dial 611 once I left the store, and take care of it that way. When I finally asked why she couldn't just take care of it while I was already there in the store she seemed annoyed and began to ask for the information to do so. By that time it was so uncomfortable I said I would go home and take care of it myself (defeating the whole purpose of making the trip into the store in the first place). Employee totally messed up our account while upgrading our phones. We are now paying for a unwanted 5th line. We went back to get it fixed and the manager admitted the employee butchered our account and did something he shouldn't have, but that there is nothing they will do about it. The only way to cancel that line is to pay the brand new iPhone off and then cancel. He offered me a 100$ credit. That doesn't even cover the monthly bill increase. So your employee screws up and we get stuck paying the bill. It now been 2 months, I have called the store multiple times but David is never in but will be told to call me. Also left messages on his cell. 15 years with the company and all we get is a " oh well you just have to pay it." read more

We then waited another 40 minutes past our appointed time as a parade of people were chatted with, waited on, or otherwise taken care of, despite our name posted as indicating we were next. If I ever need service or help I always head to the San Luis Obispo store. Today I had to go in and replace my stepdaughter's iPhone 7. Turns out that even though it is advertised at water resistant, it really isn't. Not even when it's placed in a waterproof bag. I was dumb enough not to insure it (wah, wah, waaaah), and Apple refused to help since the warranty doesn't cover water damage. :( So off we went to AT&T and got my daughter a older iPhone 6. While there, Ric sidled up with a iPad Pro and an iWatch. I resisted the iPad but succumbed to the siren call of the iWatch. So now here I sit, with a new watch and my daughter with a new/older phone. And yes, this time I got the insurance on the phone. I learned my lesson the hard way. If you ever need tech help, the trek to the SLO store is always a better choice. The AG store isn't set up for tech help, but the associates are still nice there too. read more

Being long time ATT customers, it felt like we were getting a divorce. But Jacob was so helpful and understanding of our situation. He went above & beyond to listen.
