This store scammed me into opening a line for a "free " iPad where I'll get monthly credit and just pay $1. Never happened . I got charged in full every month for the financing and received no credit and also paid for the service on the line. I should've known when I bought a phone and they gave me a diff gb than the one I asked for so I had to go back the next day. Long story short, I got scammed. Scammed by the store. I called att and they told me to go to the store and go to the store they tell me to call. I went to a different store and they said nothing I can do but pay off the iPad in full and cancel the line. So I did that today. Basically got scammed for buying an old iPad for a crazy price when I could've went to Apple to get a new one. I blame myself for not noticing what's on my bill till now. These guys are scammers. Don't go to this store. It's an endless cycle. Lesson learned. This makes me want to move to Verizon or Comcast. read more

I got AT&T Internet fiber installed. I received no written material on the plan, never got an invoice and never got an account number. Every attempt to handle this by phone was stalled because the first item on their phone tree was "enter your account number". I made an appointment at the AT&T store in Hillsdale mall in San Mateo to sort things out. After waiting 45 minutes I was angry and asked "izzy" (name plate) why they were taking walkins but not my appointment. She said if I was angry they wouldn't serve me and ordered me out of the store. Nothing was resolved This is the worst customer service I've heard of. They had staff members taking a name and then leaving for the 45 minutes I was there. read more

The actual transaction went smoothly (iphone upgrade for one of the lines). But the store representative (named as "Jefferich L" on the paper receipt - see attached) was unbelievably rude and dismissive. The receipt he printed didn't have the correct amount for what the trade-in phone was supposed to be valued at, so we asked why. And his first response was "oh here we go..", followed by "why do you keep focusing on the number next to total?". When we said that the receipt *is* supposed to say what it should be, after a weak attempt to explain it loosely, he said "I can't talk to you anymore". I couldn't believe it. In all my years shopping at retail stores of big companies, this kind of (racial?) unprofessional behavior never happened. Never. After the Apple Store in Hillsdale gave up on my installation issue of my iPhone 14, with the 2 genius associates unable to find a solution, I was advised to go to the at&t corporate store. There were several costumers inside the store and the chances to be attended quickly is remote. So I stood near the hallway to be visible. When the SA came out, he approached me immediately and inquired about my problem. Prior to my visit to this store, I was in another AT&T store with the SA unable to help and charged me for an esim card that was not working The Hilladale AT&T store SA, Theo, showed me the right card and was able to install my iPhone 14's cellilar plan. Went to the ATT store at Hillsdale. Guy says there are 8 people ahead of me and it will be an hour wait, I said ok, he said we will call you. I walked around the mall and decided to walk back about 45 minutes later, the place was almost empty and a guy waited on my right away. I said how come I didn't get a call, of course he had no answer for me. Terrible customer service and piss poor attitudes. Problem is, they don't care. read more

I upgraded my phone here and less than a week later I saw charges for cell phone insurance and early upgrade options i did not sign up for or authorize. I filed a formal complaint with corporate AT&T. I went back to turn in my old phone, and they were messing with the phone and I demanded to see what they were doing. They asked if I had an issue and I explained my prior experience and need to see what he was doing. He paused for a moment, gave me my phone back and said he would not help me. I asked to his name and he refused to provide it. His name is Jorge - how do I know? He was the same person who handled my upgrade transaction and added the unauthorized and fraudulent charges. He shouted after me as I was leaving that he was going to shut down my account. Avoid this mess of a place - based on prior reviews posted here, this is a dumpster fire that does not care about charging customers for things that were not authorized. read more

It took 15+ minutes of waiting to learn they won't help ANYONE without an appointment and the next appointment is several hours later. No signs explain this ridiculous situation. Arrived at the store in San Mateo & told one salesperson which phone we wanted. The salesperson told us that the phone was in stock & asked us to wait for our turn. 1.5 hours later, another salesperson met with us, but told us that the phone we wanted was sold out. The salesperson smirked at us as he told us the bad news, as if he was mocking us. 2 hours of my family's weekend wasted due to a staff error. I've been a Memeber of att for over 15 years, recently I've been experiencing a major issue with my bill, in excess of $1900 - I've called 611 8 times over the last 40 days, was promised call backs that never materialized, and the ongoing charges built up. Finally we came here on a trip to the mall where the staff listened and helped us along - together we called 611 and started working with the tech support to the point of getting another promised call back, but the staff knowing I've been made this promise before, declined the call back and opted to wait on the line on hold. We did this for several minutes until the 611 rep actually hung up on us. Astonishing... suffice it to say, it would go a long way if ATT offered the same service they do in there stores that they do on the 611 service. read more

If I could leave a zero review I would. Had the most frustrating experience here ever. Wasted 20min with a sales agent trying to buy an iPhone 6 Plus. Nick just kept pushing numbers and information on me, numbers and information that were simply NOT TRUE (I've since confirmed I'm not crazy at another location). Most horrible communication and customer service skills I've seen in my life. He misinformed me on a number of items, including the fact that signing up for a 10GB is MANDATORY when getting an iPhone. This is simply not true. Finally walked out of the store without buying anything (thank god, because what Nick was advising me to do would have been more expensive than what I wanted to do, and finally did end up doing, successfully, at another location. read more

I loved this place. I had a horrid evening getting my phone going from one place to another. I bought an unlocked phone at Best Buy and they did not ahve right SIM card. I came to this AT&T store 15 minutes before closing and the manager was helpful and enthusiastic. Lets face it, I did not bring any money to his stores. This was unlocked phone and I needed a SIM card to get my phone working with my AT&T account. He did everything with the smile!. When i need a new phone, I will come back to this store! read more

First, I am a lifetime to be Verizon customer --- so when I tell you that service here on Sat. 8/6/16 was exceptional, it comes from a person who has NEVER liket AT&T. My friend lost her phone, has memory issues and needed a phone and help. Kent assisted us, and I laughingly asked if he had been trained by Verizon (as we all know, they have exceptional service) No, he hadn't - but he would fit in there just fine. He patiently showed my friend what was available, walked her through various smart phones and how they worked, gave her excellent advice. He found the account, fixed all her issues, set her up with a great, but moderate priced new phone with case/cover. Even helped her call to activate her new credit card (which she had not been aware that needed activation --memory problems again). Truly, I can't say enough to express my surprise and appreciation for such good service (when I have a hate-on for AT&T as a result of many calls to the company for phone/internet). I had also called this office in the morning and spoke to Kent who helped us at that time. read more

The sales person gave me a really good package rate, even their internet speed that really slow. A got U300 +50 mbps internet speed then the sales person said that i got also free hbo for 2years that only cost me $97.27 a month include everything tax already include to that price, he said that price i will not increase for 2 years. I repeat to him 3 times to make sure. When install i found out that i dont have hbo, then the installer told me that go back to att about that. That i did. I talk to Giovani and put the hbo he said ill get free hbo as long i have my internet subscription. After 8 hrs i got email from att that my summary was increase by$57. The next day i went back to him and fix it back $97.27. But after a month i got receive again another email from att that they start charging me hbo. I went to 3 att store to check with but nothing they can do end up went back again to att hillsdale store. I talk to different sales lady because she said that the 2 sales person that i talk a month a go not working then anymore they got demoted she said. She listen to my complane. The next day she able to contact that 2 sales person but they denied that hbo. I said ok. I told her to make short. Just removed that hbo and make my bill will fix $97.27 for 2 years. She said did already i told her to email that policy she said that will do it but i never got email to her. But got email from att the new summary. But after 3 days i got another email from att a new summary that increase again will be $128.31 a month. I suggest dont trust to this att store they just scam after sign with them. Almost every week i got mail or email from att that contract or summary has been changed. This company was sucks and stupid dont get fool what they offer they not true. Would give it zero stars if I could. Would NEVER recommend anyone go to this store. Went to reactivate a pay-as-you-go dumb-phone (pay by the minute or text). Salesman was very friendly and store wasn't busy. He told me they don't have pay-by-the-minute plans anymore, only pay-by-the-month plans. I was shocked, and asked a couple of questions, and he said no carriers have pay-by-the-minute plans anymore. I spoke to him for a good 15 minutes about options, and I asked at least 2, maybe 3 more times, so there's NO plan I can get where I pay by the minute, and he said no. I went off to do some research and came back 15 minutes later and showed him a screen shot of the AT&T web site showing the option to pay by the minute. Then he said, "well we don't sell that HERE". So the guy LIED to my face, OVER and OVER. What a scumbag. The next day I went to the AT&T store in San Bruno (1206 El Camino) and got great, efficient service, and got exactly what I wanted. read more
