I go here for my T-Mobile Tuesday freebies and it's alright. I do miss the location further up El Camino, but I guess Hillsdale will have to do. It's a small store with usually 2-4 employees around, but for some reason I sometimes have to wait even if there's only like one other customer in the store. They've been good lately about not making people picking up freebies wait. But I've definitely had to wait almost half an hour before just because there were other customers being slow as hell. The location is on the lower floor, near the MAC Cosmetics store, kind of on the opposite side of The Cheesecake Factory. Joshua Garcia provided the BEST customer service, he is so professional, knowledgeable and efficient. We were trading in my son's Android phone for an iPhone. Joshua explained all of our options and clearly told us the pros and cons of different options. He also was very transparent; he wrote down the monthly cost of each option (I am a visual learner and have a bad memory so that really helped me). And then he walked us through the data transfer process. There was a lot to go over, but he worked as fast as he could. Went in to store on 1/23/2026 about 1-130pm - NO CUSTOMERS AROUND - 2 TMobile reps sitting at the table on their cell phones. My friend wanted to transfer her data & ohone nbr to anothe Iphone she was given and was told by the lady she had to go to the Apple store to get it done because the (Apple) were experts at it and they would know how to transfer the phone nbr as well. WTF!?!?!? I get it if the store was busy with a lot of customers waiting to be served but these 2 were just sitting there looking at their cell phones! I came with my friend because I was considering getting another phone for a an unused line I was already paying for but it was clear these 2 losers were laxy and I wasn't going yo get much help. I went in the store at Hillsdale on Monday May 12th around 7:45 PM to ask some questions about upgrading my phone. The associate that attempted to help was Adrian. He only tried to help for a couple minutes but I didn't have his full attention. There was a TV behind me and he kept watching the Warriors game while he was talking to me, not even making eye contact. His answers were very short with me and he didn't even offer to pull up my account. To pay more attention to a TV than a customer is very unprofessional and flat out rude. Now instead of upgrading my phone I am leaning towards switching to AT&T. read more

This is the best T-Mobile store that I have been to. The store manager (I believe his name is Matt) was super patient and helpful. You could tell that he leads a great team because everyone was genuinely happy to support us in whatever we needed. We spent 3 hours in the store trying to set up our phone but the staff was so patient with us. They even suggested we walk around while the phone was updating. We even overheard that the manager bought the team donuts in the morning! I'm so happy that we switched from AT&T to T-Mobile. Not sure where all these 5 star reviews came from. Me and my sister came to activate our new phones we received in the mail. We thought it would be a fast process. But to our dismay when we arrived all 4 associates were busy with customers and not one of the 4 ever asked if we needed assistance or informed us of a wait time. Me and my sister stood there waiting patiently for an associate to become available and yet no one still bothered to ask us until 30 mins before closing and we were there 1 1/2 hours before close, yet 30 minutes before closing is when anyone decides to acknowledge us and let us know it would be a wait. We weren't the only ones upset. There was a gentleman who was ahead of us and he checked in 45 mins before and they gave him wrong information and couldn't help him that same day either. One associate was able to help us but pretty much just did something on the computer and processed our screen protector purchase and said he couldn't finish helping us because they were closing. This guy pretty much left us to activate and transfer our data to our new phones ourselves! and apparently we had to come back to finish a trade in. I will not return to this location to fulfill the trade in because of how disorganized they are. Not to mention the associate that helped us as soon as it hit 9 pm he booked it out of the store and was gone. Like I get it, you're busy and close to closing but damn at least if you see people in the store waiting for assistance ask if they need assistance. People just don't come into a store and stand around with new phones in their hands to waste time. Use some common sense and learn customer service and inform anyone who appears to need help there's a wait time or if they can't help us that day inform us so we aren't standing around for an hour to not really be helped. Sprint was taken over by T-Mobile, which means a SIM card swap is necessary. And OF COURSE, it's not as smooth as T-Mobile promised it would be. :) I lost all calling, texting and data, basically rendering my iphone into an ipad that only worked with wifi. But Levi fixed all those problems quickly - I was out of there in less than 15 mins. He also tried to help me with an iphone specific issue that arose, too. (The problem resolved itself, as he predicted.) Very efficient, the whole experience was great! read more

I'm a bit biased as the only Tmobile location I would trust was the one located within the Microsoft campus in Redmond. I say that having stopped by several stores along the peninsula where I was made to feel I was a burden when making a request of any of the staff. However, was pleasantly surprised with the level of service at the Hillsdale location. Made 3 visits here, all were very positive. Visit #1 - Veronica helped me, awesome experience. T-Mobile corporate does lock down employees to what they can do, but she persevered, staying on the phone with internal support while apologizing to me for the delay. Ended up leaving 45 minutes past closing, Visit #2 - David helped me with a pile of trade-ins. I did have some curveballs with my account and multiple lines, he sorted / simplified and did as much as possible and got all but one line done until he ran out of privileges to do more until the store manager was around. It was late, manager was not there, suggested I come back, not ideal, but assured me it would be the most efficient way to accomplish what I needed to do. Also did a review of my account to ensure I would fall within the 14 day window, etc. Visit #3 - Matt, the manager was my most recent visit to fix up the worst of my problems with my trade in. Although he was the store manager, he also had to reach out to backend corporate to get certain authorization - he explained the situation/ process clearly to me, then went ahead and made it happen. My interactions with the staff at this location has restored my faith in T-Mobile locations outside of Washington state- glad to have met them and would certainly recommend to friends and family! read more

This store is a joke. The staff is WAY more concerned about reasons why they can't do their job rather then just doing it. I've been trying for a week to trade in a phone. I went in at 10am and they were "too busy" helping the two other customers. And when i pointed to the 4x employees just sitting there doing nothing, i got an eyeroll and what do know, they both said they could help and to come back at 300pm. Ive been back five times after this today's confirmation that the staff tries harder to make up excuses as to why they cant do their jobs than if the did what they're getting paid for. I am going back to Verizon be the staff here should all be fired except for the guy owns 10x cars and5x phones. The heavy set lady mgr tolerates this behavior. Whoever owns this particular store, close the store. On 6x different occasions recently I was blatantly lied to and told as to why I couldn't buy a phone. So, i just pId off my remaining balance on my phone and i have an appointment set for tomorrow to go back to vzw. TMO somehow managed to be worse than sprint. read more

I want to give a 5-star review to a specific Mobile Expert: VERONICA SONGCO. She honestly should receive a 12/10 star review. My dad and I went in to ask about a couple of issues about comparing billing, possible phone upgrades, and opting out of the billing upgrade. She understood exactly what we wanted and was so quick to resolve our issues. It usually takes my dad and me about 2 hours at a T-Mobile store (Downtown San Mateo Location) to even get any progression but with her at the (Hillsdale Location) we were in and out in about 30 minutes which is a crazy record. She just started in April (I think that is when she said she started) and she blew our minds. It is hard to get a compliment out of my dad but he was so appreciative towards her and complimented her multiple times. I am not going to anyone else except her because she she truly knows what a customer wants and is about to go from point A to point B with no detours which I appreciate. T-Mobile recently bought out Sprint so all of the Sprint customers now has T-Mobile ‍‍. My husband has been a loyal customer to sprint for over 9 years. Ever since T-Mobile bought Sprint our service has been awful. He doesn't get ANY of my texts. The calls are always dropping when I'm on the phone. His Pandora always closes because of the service. It would be one thing if we lived in the Valley or Mountains, but we don't. We live in the Bay. We never had any issues when we were with Sprint. He has now spoken to 7 different people due to this and he's just been spun around and around in a circle to other representatives. First he was told he might have accidentally blocked me next he was told it was his phone so he had his phone looked at by Samsung. Samsung told him there's nothing wrong with his phone but the did show him 2 pages full of network errors. Iwas excited to see if T-Mobile had improved over the years and it hasn't. I cannot wait until our contract with Sprint is up. read more

Just wanted to write this review to thank Kevin for his amazing service. I did basically all the things a customer could do in one sitting - traded in my old phone, got a credit towards a new one, upgraded my plan, got a new phone, got a new line and smartwatch - and Kevin just walked me through everything so clearly. I was very happy and impressed with his knowledge of all the pricing changes and deals and exactly how much my out of pocket and monthly financing charges would be. We setup my new phone and watch perfectly and I was impressed by his technical knowledge of all the devices and how they work. He even showed me exactly how my future bills would break down to and even set the new plan to not start right away so I would save. Unprofessional staff (JB), bad customer service, no empathy to understand customer issues. JB was rude and tried to escalate a situation and later went around in the store to his staff telling them to not help me. The staff tried her best to not help me, but i kept pushing for answers. This has the most rude, threatening and racist store manager who claims that if you see a fraud, call call center as store is 'just to sell and not provide customer care'. I was there with my wife, my kids 11 and 6 year old; We went to complain that our invoice was of a different Individual while I signed for the phone. Individual told us that my name will appear on bill as its new line I am taking. We gave our background from previous day however she was least patient. Manager Jacquelin was threatening and even told us to be thrown out if we stop questioning. On billing issue not being explained (forget about resolving), we wanted to return our iPhone 14 plus taken a night before at 7 PM and take our iphone XS 256 GB back. We were OK with restoring fee (and it was our legal right) however she refused it bluntly. On being asked to explain, they continue to threaten us and stop asking question. She was talking nicely to all other people (none of them of our race) however her tone, body language and language wasn't of a person who isn't racist. We came back with our phone giving up as we were stuck with this fraud. It was our mistake as 'S B' from Legal team has sent the account owner the letter that we were abusive and failure to comply with the letter will result in we being prohibuted from T mobile service. They are asking for compliance without investigating the CCTV footage and investigating into our rationale. Isn't it legal to return the phone in 14 days if we are dissatisfied. SB's letter states that we asked for illegal process; how is this ILLEGAL??? Clearly This store lied to the Corporate. Hope people read and be careful while doing business with this store and someone in T-Mobile investigates properly instead of blindly sending letter to customer in a threatening tone. Also, letter was dated Dec 1 and on Dec 6 we get a message that someone on account is removed as authorized user and its us and without account owner's approval. Clear unilateral decision. Kody Duffy is truly one of the best customer representatives I have ever encountered in any industry. I went in to T-Mobile wanting to switch over from ATT. I knew going in it wasn't going to be simple process especially with the switch over and buying new phones with all the different promotions being offered. I can truly say I would have made so many mistakes if I were to do the switch over myself online. I am so glad Kody was there to help me out along entire ordeal. There were system glitches while we were porting over and purchasing the phones but Kody happily ironed out everything for me. I was the 4 th person at the Store an informed 25 min wait. l have 4 phones lines. I waited about 20 minutes and was greeted my T/Mobile: JB, I informed him l would like activate the Samsung phone. He look up the primary holder was me and the balance the 3 other lines were All Apple He did the Samsung activation seamlessly in 3minutes What JB did next cause me to write the Yelp review. I was about leave, JB wanted to demo the Samsung features even my son,Dex might know: 1) Display is a beautiful 8k 2) 100x Zoom which he patiently demo. We had been with Sprint for the last 6+ years, and I don't remember ever receiving great service like the one we got from Kevin. Even though we showed up 30 mins before closing time, Kevin answered our 50+ questions and didn't feel bothered at all that we stayed past the closing time. He was courteous and VERY knowledgeable. We were looking to switch carriers so we decided to walk into T-Mobile at Hillsdale shopping center. We showed up at 6:30pm(30 minutes before closing on a Sunday). Kevin greeted us and started answering questions right off the bat with a ton of patience...It was about 7:20pm(20 minutes after closing) and we were ready to pull the trigger! Due to our current plan we had with sprint we needed to talk to a rep before we made the switch. Even though we couldn't pull the trigger at that moment, Kevin was ready to stay with us as long as we needed, even after closing.
