The employees at this ATT store is rude, liars, and thieve..... I went in to ATT on December 24 to upgrade my phone. The employee told me that they would Give me $700 for my trade in. I agreed to the transaction and told them I would bring the phone back once I retrieved all of my information off the phone. On Jan 3, 2021, I took the the phone back to ATT to seal the deal. When I gave the phone to the employee, she informed me that I couldn't receive the $700 promotion for the phone and would have to pay for my Upgraded phone. At that point I was flabbergasted. . As big of a company ATT is, how can they state one thing and do something totally different? I'm sure I can go to another company to receive an even better offer and not have to be subjected to the inconsistency of ATT and their employees. I politely requested my phone back because again, if I am not receiving what was promised to me, there is no need for me to continue working with them. I'm already going to be charged for the upgraded phone. I was further baffled when Amanda, who's name appears on the receipt (because they refuse to tell me her name) , refused to give me my property back. So not only can I not receive the promotion but Amanda and the manager refused to give me back my phone upon my request. Amanda had the audacity to tell me that I was lucky she even told me that I wasn't going to get the promotion. This is utterly disheartening as a customer for ATT. And to make matters worst, because I wanted to get my phone back due to them not upholding their end of the bargain to give me the $700 promotion, Amanda and the store manager threatened to call the police on me. So basically she was telling me that instead of giving me the 700 they were going to keep my phone. After asking for my phone back several time Amanda and the manager said they were going to call the police because I demanded my phone back. I called ATT corporate and they informed me that they couldn't help me because this store is a authorized user and not a corporate store. Okay so now I'm getting the run around for my item. I had to leave the ATT and go to a corporate location to make my complaint. At this point the dispute has been going back and forth for two hours. The other ATT store told me they can give me the promotion if I I upgrade my phone plan. So you want me to pay a extra 1200 a year for a 700 promotion, when I could have just kept my other phone. I made the decision to upgrade based on the promise of the promotion. Make it make sense. The only way you going fix the problem of the other store stealing my phone is by me upgrading my plan to a higher rate. At this point I don't even want ATT service. This issue is still not resolved. I don't have a credit nor do I have my phone because Amanda basically stole it. Do better ATT. read more

Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. The manager Matthew lukowski is shady and uninformative. I believe now that was all part of the plan to be very deceitful Standard operating procedure at the at&t store. He gave me a case, screen protector and a charging pad. He said they came with the phone. When in fact they did not! I was charged for every item. He straight up lied. I found out after the fact, You have to purchase accessories with your trade-in value total BS. You'd be much better off dealing with AT&T directly and even better dealing with Apple. AT&T gave me $90 for my phone perfect condition. I would've keep it had I known that. Apple would've gave me $200 which I could've taken off the price of the phone. You're welcome read more

I went to this store to see what was wrong with my phone. The reps were definitely busy when I got there, but they let me know that they would be with me as soon as they could. They helped me by noting on my account and they're was something wrong with my phone. Sent me to Apple wth an appointment and I got my new phone right away. I will always go back to this location! read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE!! I purchased a phone online for curbside pickup and sent my son to pick it up with order number, ID, credit card it was purchased with and account passcode(he is an authorized user on the account as well) Upon arrival the clerk was rude and confrontational with my son because he didn't have email. My son couldn't show email because his phone was broke, he explained that is why we were picking it up. After refusing to give him phone that was pre-purchased online, he picked up his sister to bring her to show email. They were accused of fraud and not allowed the phone that was paid for and were refused a refund. We called the cops and still couldn't get the phone. There wasn't a manager available to help. I had to dispute the charges with my credit card company! What a mess DO NOT SHOP HERE!! It's not worth it go to real AT&T store. I have never had issues like this with AT&T and I've been a customer for over 25 years. read more

Went to this location, because we had a bad experience at the location by the Schererville Walmart. I was very disappointing when I saw that the manager at this location was the SAME manager that was at the prior location since I had a bad experience with her when my mom tried to upgrade her phone last fall. This visit my mom was in a wheelchair and now needed to exchange her 2G phone for a new phone that was compatible with the networks that are being upgraded. Our salesperson, Erica, was super sweet but wasn't sure if they could "match" the email offer we had received and asked us to wait to talk to her manager. So we waited. Meanwhile, the manager, Jenny, started talking to another customer not even acknowledging us. When she did walk over, she was not very nice in explaining that this offer was for "retail stores" and that they were a "independent franchise store" and when I explained we just used the link on the email to find the closest store, she said "can I finish??!!!". When asked where the closest authorized retail store was, she indicated it was in Merrillville and it's big and always a long wait. So I asked her if there were any other phones available and when showing my mom another phone, my mom said "but I don't need a keyboard" and she snapped "I ONLY brought this phone to show you because YOU said you wanted a phone that you could use a HEADSET!". (my mom has a pacemaker and can't hold the phone on her left side). I then looked at her and said, well I see that you can't help us, so we will leave today. As I was pushing her out in the her wheelchair, the young salesgirl, Erica, came and opened up the store and then gave us a suggestion of how we may be able to replace the phone by calling customer service directly. As I walked out, I said "thank you, you were MUCH more helpful and pleasant than your manager" I realize that this store probably won't make any money off of exchanging a phone. And I was hoping that maybe I would have a different experience than the one my mom and I had with this manager at the former location, but unfortunately, that was not the case. It is my hope that the "independent franchise owner" reads this review and realizes how incredibly rude and condescending his manager is. read more

For the first time coming to this store, their first impression was okay and could have been better. The manager got right to the point with what I needed; however, she went into great depth about my plan and so on, just as one would expect, but she offered so much information so rapidly that I wish she could have just slowed down and tried to make me understand, rather than talking endlessly so that I get so lost into the conversation that I am agreeing into anything or worse, not fully comprehending what is being said. She also could have been friendlier. Smiles matter! Did not have one smile from her, and she actually rolled her eyes 2-3 times during my talk with her. Kailyn, I don't know if you were thinking and that is how you do it, but it definitely makes me raise an eyebrow. Just because I felt like I was your "typical customer" or I annoyed you in some way. The customer should not feel any of that. Not even in the slightest way! Also, when she was cashing me out, I was standing waiting for my receipt and she says, "You can go sit down." What established business talks to their guests/customers like that? She was better off just letting me stand. There is always a way to say everything, as well as approach a given situation. Kailyn could polish her communication skills and ease up a bit. Maybe I caught her on a bad day, but even on a bad day, a customer shouldn't know the employer/provider is having a bad day. I'm all about professionalism. The service wasn't bad, but she could have done a better job with presenting herself as well as AT&T. For this reason, I wouldn't come back to this location unless it was absolutely imperative. First impressions are HUGE! read more
