A store in a different state sold me the wrong iPhone. They could not correct it, but told me to go to a store at home. At this store they wanted to charge me a restocking fee, but also refused to honor the original price, wanting an extra $395. When I questioned this, the salesman became angry, rude and belligerent. He refused to give me his name. The manager came over and was somewhat calmer and did give some useful information , but he was not exactly polite. He told me to call AT&T at 611. I told him I had already done that (51 minutes online) and they had referred me back to the local store. I expressed my frustration at getting the runaround. Great experience at the Northgate Mall, it's worth the time when working with Alyssa when it comes to upgrade, packages, deals and solve any problem with your bill. Alyssa went out of her way to help me with my at&t bill and she even call the customer care line to assist me with my concern with early cancellation fee that was added to my bill, all said and done she was caring, knowledgeable and professional with the time it took and make it happen. People like Alyssa makes a huge impact difference when it comes to delivering the experience and to make things right and make it happen. I dealt with AT&T over the phone about five times and I couldn't get it remove, just the worst experience and the customer service is horrible. Thanks to Alyssa I'm still with at&t! I came here to replace my iPhone, as mine crapped out on me. The young guy with the accent helped me. Long story short, he decided to set up my phone himself and didn't give me the option to restore from my previous phone. Then when I mentioned I wanted to trade in that phone, he deleted it from my account. So now I can't restore from the backup. Oh, and he couldn't figure out how to get my phone traded in anyway. So he deleted everything for absolutely no reason. Thanks a lot. Which means I have now lost every password I have ever stored, all of my contacts from the last 3 years, all of my settings, all of my apps, all of my texts, my new phone won't pair with my watch--basically everything except my photos. I am incredibly upset. All because that guy was being super lazy and clearly doesn't care about customer service AT ALL. This is my mom's closest AT&T Store. SITREP This outfit in Northgate provides very good service for my mom's telephone needs whether I am with her (about half the time) or not (the other half the time). Since mom is on my phone plan, I really am concerned that she stay connected with me when I am working in California. THE SETUP This store really does take care of Mom when she's had an issue and I'm stuck down in California. What will happen is the store will call me up and say there is an issue with her sim-card or with her tech and they will tell me what options we are needing to consider to get her phone working. NETBOOK This is also the situation with the Netbook I got her with the AT&T service plan so that she can continue to use the wireless capabilities to stay connected with my nephews & nieces. If she has some tech-issues, the staff has been able to help work through the hardware problem with the netbook - both when I'm with her or not. THE LOWDOWN I'll be honest: I hate my AT&T carrier service and I feel trapped. I hate my AT&T service-plan, and I hate the national AT&T corp in general. But I have nothing but great things to say about the customer service staff at this store. read more

It's a quest to find a new phone, and you are the hero; looking for the perfect wireless voice transmission method. Today, it was the day after iPhone 6 launch, and I didn't expect to line up, but there it was, and realistically, I was like.. err.. I'm here for a case, and of course there was a person there, who was to make sure that, like a VIP club, you were on the list. Of course, checking if you had a legitimate reason to be in the store, which wasn't packed, it was like any Eastside club, empty and a waste. So I'm in, and the poor CSA who was at the door wasn't helpful in helping locate the phone case, so I just ended up asking a sales person, who was more than helpful, and made up for the zero star experience waiting out in the line. He got me checked out, and I was on my way. There isn't a line there, but when there is, it's annoying. Oh well, you have to do, what you have to do.. read more

This store was welcoming and was glad to see me when I walked into the store! Charles was fabulous! He went above and beyond the call of duty! He checked for all of the various discounts that I was eligible for since I'm an Amazon employee. He answered all of my questions. He explained all my options for upgrades, and he made sure that I was fully informed. I was pleasantly surprised. Charles set me up for future references. I hardly noticed the COVID measures in this store. It was almost like I was invited to someone's home. I walked out of the store thinking I had had a good experience. However, days after I found out that the store manager, Sam Nichols, had signed me up for phone insurance ($17/month) and an early upgrade program ($6/month) without ever even mentioning it to me or asking if I was interested. Now I have had to call them to remove the extra monthly changes. They said they were not able to remove the early upgrade program yet and I will have to call bad AGAIN in 12 days. Who knows what else I'll find out about the plan changes that were made. You cannot trust these people...sneaky and dishonest. read more

Bunch of scammers on the floor, even worse with the managers who sit in the back office all day. They'll all say anything to get you to sign up. Couple of things you should know up front, that they will not tell your, or even worse, straight up lie about: 1. Directv requires a satellite dish and it will take 3 weeks+ to get an installation appointmnet. Getting these things installed is a huge pain, long wait, they do not work well in bad weather, and lots of apartment buildings have roofs and trees that block the view. If this happens then your property manager has to give them written permission to install on your roof. 2. No matter what the employees or customer services tell you, there is no way to get NFL channels, including redzone, on directv now. There's no professionalism here. They will gang up on you if you start questioning them. Had the guy who is responsible for putting you on a waitlist to speak with a salesman jump in a conversation and start spouting off on legalities, as if he had heard my situation and held a law degree. Last round with ATT. As soon as the phones are paid off i'm back to Verizon. Recommend you do the same. If you still go with AT&T, go to another location. read more

Why all the hate for AT&T? I get that people root for the little guy and don't like the big dog in principle, but in practice, don't you really want the biggest dog available for your phone service? And speaking of service, for the many years I've been with AT&T - I switched when my Sprint phone took an unscheduled swim in a toilet at Qwest Field and I really wanted to replace it with a Razr - their service has been exceptionally good. No, great. And as my current iPhone can testify, they clearly have the best gear. I finally buckled and told my daughter she could have a cell phone if she earned it. She had to make her "giant" consistently in her bar routine. She did it so I got her the phone she wanted. An LG Neon if you must know. The wonderful folks at AT&T added her onto my plan and I'm paying exactly nothing a month for her service. They coulda reamed me and I wouldn't have known any better. After months of explaining to them over the phone that I'm my husbands wife (verification crap that they can't remember) and that my phone doesn't work, their response was always go into the store. I finally find the time to go to the store and their representatives were so insensitive to my situation that I couldn't believe him and her. I love this particular AT&T store! The service is exceptionally fast & all the staff I've worked with have been friendly and helpful. Most of the time I just stop by when I'm on the way to my gym, if I have a question about my service or how to use my phone/phone problems. It's so nice to know, that whatever my question is, they won't hesitate to give me an answer whether I'm buying something or not. Rarely ever long lines here and much faster than Bellevue or some of the other AT&T stores I've been to in the area. Also, since it's right by the mall entrance, it's easy to pop in, without having to walk through the entire mall. Nice! read more

45 minutes just to return something? AT&T is the worst. The employees are rude too; but that's to be expected. Then, their system had 'shut down' for the night, so we were instructed to come back the next day. This was after they told me that I wasn't allowed to return stuff that I bought online...even though the return policy clearly says that I can return something that I bought online, in the store. This is solely based on this store - not the company as a whole. I have always had nothing but the best service at this location and will only come here! Except for one time when I got my iphone almost two years ago, each time I came in, it was for little accessories like USB cable, earphones, bluetooth or just a phone cover. Regardless, the staff is always so helpful. Someone greets you right away and gets whatever you're looking for and offers you several choices. I don't feel pressured to buy whatever they recommend either. They always offer to install or show you how to use the product of whatever you bought. I think at times, when they are really busy, they still try their best. I was most impressed the time I went in to purchase just one of those plastic film thing to cover my iphone screen. The rep clean my phone and even put on the new screen for me. Wow! I will try to come here for everything if I can rather than go to the Apple Store. The staff here beats out all those people swarming around in blue, whom are mostly unhelpful, doesn't smile or spend any time with you (unless you are actually buying a big ticket item or have an appointment)! Usually I have to hunt down someone in order to pay for my stuff cos not all blue men (& women) are created equal, it seems. read more

Now, this may not entirely be this particular store's fault. Perhaps it is AT&T's business and service plans that I am giving a 1 star ('0' was not available, nor were MINUS ratings) I went in at 5pm today (Sunday) to simply add minutes to my pre-paid device. This was my first time needing to add minutes so I followed their procedure. Of coarse, they offered the kiosk service which was more appealing as I did not have to wait in line or pay tax on my purchase. Unfortunately, I needed correct change, so I had to wait in line and I was fine with the additional tax charge. After about 10 minutes of waiting, I asked one of the (seemingly useless) guys in the white shirt holding an iPad if I could purchase minutes at Best Buy Mobile which is directly across the hallway in the mall. He checked with his boss and informed me that I could only purchase at AT&T. Whatever, fine, no worries. I was next to go up and explained to the bloke that I just needed minutes for my prepaid. He began to explain the kiosk and I told him why I couldn't use it. I needed $50 of credit and only had a $100 bill. Somehow (this is hard to believe) they could not break a $100 bill. OK, so what do I do now? The 'sales associate' informed me that I could make my purchase at Best Buy Mobile. AWESOME! I headed across to Best Buy and was in and out within one minute. If the right (or ANY) questions were asked to me by their skilled team then perhaps I may not have wasted 20 minutes in the store AND an additional 5 in writing this pointless review. I'm not a big fan of AT&T in general due to the high prices and constant new fee's with less package options which force you to pay more for what you don't use or constantly stressed about overage fees. This AT&T store makes my fiance and I happy customers though. Twice I've gone in with phone/service issues... one an upgrade and the other a service issue; both times I've gotten Barry the Manager and Mitchel. Amazing service....Barry knows how to get things done and go above and beyond for his customers. He runs a tight and on top of it team. They're always making sure you're taken care of, not waiting long and they do EVERYTHING they can to make sure your happy. I've always left thrilled. Mitchel has always been VERY professional in his dress, manners and friendly conversation. Very patient and understanding. As long as this store stays here with the same quality and satisfaction I have no need to go anywhere else for my mobile issues. The 4 stars is averaged out over three interactions w/ the store. Pedro gets 5 stars. 1st interaction: Rep promised help and follow up, received neither. She was nice, though. 2nd interaction: Talked on the phone to a different rep. She explained the problem and followed up later. However, when I visited the store, she hadn't passed the needed upgrade code on to anyone else and did not note it to my account. She was the only person who could help, and she wasn't there. 3rd interaction: I was explained the problem when I arrived, given an ETA on a solution, and I was in and out in minutes when I picked up my new phone. The voice on my old phone wasn't working, so Pedro offered to text me when everything had been resolved. He was the *only* rep who remembered the voice on my phone didn't work and followed up w/ non voice communication. The only weird thing was when like a bazillion manager type people came over and asked me how my visit was going. He doesn't just go through the motions and phone it in. He's actually interested in explaining stuff to me. He was great about explaining cost and what my bill would be. I picked out a phone and he transferred over all my data. I bought a screen protector and he put it on and was really precise about it, making sure the edges lined up perfectly and there were no bubbles. When I went in I was having issues with my iphone and wanted to switch to droid. When I walked in the guy showed me where everything was and gave me time to check everything out. When I was ready he was happy to get everything going- they even stayed late to help me finish the transaction. The only reason I'm giving one less star is because no matter how many times I said "no" to direct tv they sales guy kept trying to push it. After the 2nd "no" that should have been clear enough. Otherwise, I had a great experience with the manager, Seth, who helped get my contacts transferred over the next day and the rest of the sales team. November 16, 2001 - I've just read 4 reviews about this store, all giving ONE Star ratings and I can't figure out why? I've been going to this place since it was CINGULAR and have been happy with every visit and every purchase. Cell phones aren't bad, AT&T isn't bad, the idea that a person can walk around without a wire attached to their phone and talk to folks across the mall or across the country is pretty amazing. Dropped calls? Yea I've had some - when I'm on the edge of an antennae's range. But I can surf the web, look up stuff on a map (and get turn by turn directions) with my PHONE - sometimes traveling on the freeway. That's some pretty sophisticated technology to be griping about, I think. The clerks come and go at this store, but the service remains pretty constant - which in MY experience has always been helpful. Maybe some people have different needs and expectations than me - so be it. read more

the customer service at this store is awful, and I haven't even been inside it yet! a few weeks ago, my friend and I went to this store to ask for more information about her adding me to her family plan. We were told the wait was about 20 minutes due to too many people in the store. they took down our name in their iPad and to pass the time, we went to another store. This place IS located in a MALL, after all. We come back about 25 minutes later, and the woman queuing the line goes "I don't see your name here, I don't know why.. did the other person add it? Well we'll have to re-add you and it'll be another 20 minutes". We were a bit annoyed, and it wasn't a dire need to go to the store, so we left. Last night - we return to this store, as they are one of the few in the city that has the iPhone 5 that I want. We come in, and again give the guy up front our name. He tells us it'll be about 15 minutes - and here's the important part - in which I reply "ok, cool, we'll go shop around a bit". We go to a store nearby, come back no more than 20 minutes later, and the guy says "Oh we called you and you weren't here, so we have to re-add you. and it'll be a 40 minute wait". Excuse me...?? You couldn't have WARNED us that this was your policy? Couldn't have said before we left "keep in mind that if we call you and you are not here, you lose your space". If I knew, I would have gladly stayed the 15 minutes and waited!! My friend had a paper due that night and we were trying to get this done in a timely fashion. I had been waiting for weeks to get the phone and I was really let down. What's worse is that BOTH of these times, NONE of them offered us an apology. I'm not expecting grovelling, but just a quick "sorry about that" would have been nice. nope - didn't happen. I also looked at the TV screen with the line numbers, and somehow when I got re-added, I went to #6, then back down to #7??? Hmm, yeah, real strict policy you've got there. My hubby and I are both on the same account so I tell the guy which number is mine, he goes and gets my pretty new phone, starts to set it up and then say "uh oh....you're the 8787 number, aren't you?". He frickin turned off my husbands phone!! I laughed at first asking him to reverse that ASAP, as my husband uses his phone all day for work, and the my astonishment this kid tells me I have to go to Kirkland to get my Brads phone and put a new SIM card in it. A customer usually judges a business by the particular representatives s/he meets there. It may be unfair to the other representatives if a customer says negative opinions based on his/her experience with a particular representative at the same site. I am sorry for the other representatives at Northgate Mall shop of AT&T, but have to tell my unhappy experience with Mike on 1/11/15. My wife and I went to this shop to set up GoPhone accounts and were helped by Mike. We were new customers of AT&T, so basically knew nothing about its services. Mike seemed to have very little patience to explain the prepaid plans, and unhappy with our questions. OK, maybe he was in a bad mood I thought. He explained that the $25/monthly plan means a customer pays $25 for 250 minutes and this will expire in 90 days. This is a perfect plan for me, who uses cell phone very rarely. So, it is equivalent to spending $25 on cell phone service for every 3 months. What he failed to do is to tell the difference between the $25/monthly and $45/monthly plans. The latter is a REAL monthly plan that means you need to pay $45 for every month. (I got it clarified later through live chat at AT&T website) My wife was confused with the term "unlimited" under "nationwide call" and other similar options but could not get clarified with Mike. It was fine as long as we got our cell phones set up and left for home. Before we left the mall, we tried to check if our cell phones were working, but was disappointed and had to go back for help. Fortunately, our problems were fixed by him with the help of other representatives. To my amazement, before we left I noticed that Mike was indeed a happy young man with other representatives. Maybe his bad mood only shows in front of customers, or specific customers. Update: After the first month, I realize that the $25/month plan is actually a real monthly plan, i.e., the remaining minutes of this month will be gone in the next month. This is exactly what AT&T website tells and I should trust myself at first. I am a little bit annoyed that the representatives working at Northgate and chatting online gave me the same wrong information. Maybe AT&T wireless service is great (hope so), but the representatives really suck. read more

I've stopped by twice in the last few months, and each time, none of the workers acknowledged my existence in any way. I was there most recently on a quiet weekday morning. I was able to see and hold some of the new phones, so I self-answered some of my own questions. Unfortunately, I needed to upgrade so I had additional questions, but couldn't even catch the eye of a salesperson. They were completely focused on either the person in front of them or their phone call, but just a glance and a wave would have prompted me to stick around longer. But after 20 minutes, I gave up.
