I have no idea how to start this review, Ben Bridge at Bellevue Square, really goes above and beyond. No matter the occasion, they really do want to make sure that you get what you want and you get the AAA service that everyone deserves. Bellevue Square is a busy store and it's definitely not your "regular jewelry store" that is in a mall. If they are busy, you can make an appointment with one of the jewelers, and they will give you their undivided attention without being interrupted or getting pressure to just "buy something". Ben Bridge still sticks to their core values. They want to fulfill your needs for any special occasion in your life. One day my husband and I went in and purchased a pair of earring for myself and upgraded his wedding ring. We were able to get it special ordered so it would match mine. At that time, the most amazing Jeweler, Mira, told my husband roughly the wait time to get a Rolex. I was shocked to hear this but it's understandable, knowing the intricate details that a Rolex entails. Let's fast forward a week last, or so, and I call Mira to ask her about a Wolf watch winder that my husband wanted. Mira said they had some in stock so I was headed down there to take a look. Before I got off the phone with Mira, asking her about which watch winder for my husband, she said "wait, is this for Fathers Day?", I said yes, then Mira proceeded to ask me, if we were still interested, she had an amazing idea for my husband to surprise him for Fathers Day. What was amazing, is when I was at the store and my items were getting the Ben Bridge treatment with the purple ribbon and the cute gift bag. Review in the TIme of Covid: Went in on a Sunday and the mall was bustling! The store itself was well-staffed even with someone on their break. I walked in and was greeted, and never once felt like I didn't belong. I had experienced poor customer service at the Ben Bridge in Bellevue, as well as not getting my watch bracelet sized in the process. I decided to try again at U Village, and I'm glad that I did. I've gotten other watch bracelets resized here with no problem, and this time was no different. When I got there, the watch repair person was on his break, so I was welcomed to browse until he came back. He breezed in, his break not over, and was happy to help while I was there. He did a great job resizing the band and showing me where the fine adjustment was. He complemented the watch, too - it was a gift from my watch-nerd spouse, and it was nice to know that taste was recognized. It was a quick, painless experience, and was treated like a welcome guest, which was very unlike my experience in Bellevue. Oh, my, RIDICULOUS. The staff had NO idea what they were doing. I felt like I had entered some kind of weird, awkward warp in the folds of the universe, that's how bad it was. I brought in a new rubber band I had purchased for my T-Touch to replace the worn leather strap. I needed a new clasp to fit the rubber band. The sales associate took the watch and the clasp as I explained to him what I needed to have done (easy, get a correct clasp and put the rubber band on) and he looks at me blankly and says "so you're saying that this clasp is broken?" Arghhh. Then he takes it to the back room and returns 10 minutes later with the correct clasp (almost $50). Then I give him back the watch and explain that I want the rubber band put on with the new clasp. He takes it back and returns 10 minutes later with the new band on the watch. Obviously it's way too big as it hasn't been sized at all. I say, "I need this sized". He takes it back to the jeweler again. I ask, can the jeweler just come out here to size this? He says, "no, she won't come out of the back. She's comfortable back there". REALLY? How about "she's f'in lazy"??? Another girl steps in (most likely the manager). She runs the watch back and forth between me and the jeweler a total of (no joke) 8 times until it is sized correctly. In short, I won't return. The entire staff needs to be terminated and they need to start over with some competent people including a jeweler who will get off her ass and actually do some work. read more

We didn't purchase any jewelry here, but the customer service is phenomenal. We had four rings repaired/sized recently and were pleasantly surprised to have had such great service, considering the jewelry wasn't even purchased from their store. Initially what brought me in was a severely damaged eternity band. I snagged it on some snowboarding boot straps and the platinum was bent into an odd shape. Ben Bridge sent it out to their jeweler and the quote for repairing the damage was $950. The ring itself was bought for a little over $1000 fourteen years ago, so I declined the repairs. When I went to pick up the ring, Linda, one of the gemologists, asked what I planned to do with the ring and asked if she could try to repair it. Somehow she took it to the back room and pounded on it slightly, bending it back into a circular shape. Luckily, all the prongs seemed to be in good shape, so I am able to wear it again. I was told I could bring it back anytime for them to check the prongs and diamonds. She could have used that opportunity to sell me a similar eternity band from their store, but instead she chose to repair the one I had. Aside the eternity band, I also had a ruby ring bought from overseas resized for a better fit, my husband's wedding band resized, and lastly, one of the diamonds on my engagement ring was loose and they tightened the prongs. I forgot to mention that during this process, two kids age 4 and 2 tagged along and one had a meltdown in their store. One of the sales reps brought two teddy bears for both kids, and that made it possible to continue our conversation. When I picked up the eternity band, they also gave us a box of Seattle Chocolates. Needless to say, I will definitely keep Ben Bridge in mind if I have any jewelry needs in the future! read more

Fantastic service! I popped by today because I was already at the mall and though to ask some questions and look at men's wedding bands. My fiancé wasn't with me so I just wanted to see what their platinum selection was like, as that's the metal-type he wants for his band. Lots of other stores we've visited have just a handful of platinum rings for men and the rest are other metals and materials. Here there are dozens of options ranging from funky and modern to classic styles of ring. I asked questions about the difference between various metals, I asked about customization, pricing, scuffing/wear, and various other things. Every single thing I learned was so valuable that I can't wait to come back with my fiancé in tow. I think Ben Bridge might be where we get his ring! So happy with this visit today. read more

I've never felt like more of an intruder in a store than here. I walked in to an empty store of customers with 4 ladies standing around doing nothing - NOTHING. They couldn't even take the time to greet me with a simple hello? I asked nicely if I could have my rings cleaned and a mere few minutes later the girl returned with them. I've had my rings cleaned enough times to know that she just did a quickie job and probably didn't even inspect them. Did I mention that I bought my wedding band from this company?? I too have to agree with the other reviewers. The people who work here don't seem to know much about customer service. I have purchased several items from the other Ben Bridges and have gotten pretty good service but I felt totally ignored when I walked in to get my earrings fixed here. I stood there for several minutes and a clerk walked out of the back room with her lunch bowl, right by me without acknowledging me. What about looking at the customer and saying "Someone will be with you in just a moment?". She walked out of the store and then returned a few minutes later and walked right by me again! I don't know if it is because of my age, but I have always felt that they were focused on making me feel inferior. (Especially when three sales people felt like they needed to chime in, and insist that I was wrong about a particular detail.... ) I think it's too bad that I felt compelled to write this review. I recently bought my husband his dream watch as a graduation present from Alvin Goldfarb in Bellevue. It was 'only' $4,000 which is probably not muchfor that store but was a lot for us. We ordered the Omega watch in late December. They told us the Omega distributor was closed for the holidays and they would order it when they opened and let us know when it came in. January came around and we called to check in on it. They'd forgotten to order it. A week later we called them again to check on the status and they estimated it would be a couple of weeks. Finally the watch came in. My husband was very satisfied with it and all seemed good. A week or so later my husband decided the watch was a little loose for his taste so he took it back to see if it could be sized (we live in Seattle and obviously, this store is in Bellevue so it was a drive). They told him that they didn't have anyway to size it and, I kid you not, that he should eat something salty or drink a margarita so his writs would swell. Seriously? A couple of weeks later we received an Alvin Goldfarb baseball cap as a 'thank you' for our patronage. Wow. On a lark, he took it to the Ben Bridge in the University Village. They used to sell Omegas but had discontinued the line. The watchmaker there first tried to adjust it by taking out a whole link and then put two half links on the watch and took out a whole. It now fits perfectly. There was no charge and they were gracious and helpful. The epitome of good customer service. Needless to say, we won't be going back to AG and will be talking up Ben Bridge. And any purhcases we have to make in the future will be through Ben Bridge. read more

I was in Seattle visiting family and stopped into this store to look around. A young man named Richard welcomed me and walked me through the store. As we talked more I told him that about a piece of jewelry I saw on vacation and always regretted not purchasing. He took the time to draw out what I was describing and then even tweaked it to look even better! Richard made the ring for me and it came out so much better than expected. He made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. Coming from a person that had no intentions of buying anything that day I would highly reccommend Richard if you are looking to make any jewelry or watch purchase. He has informed me via email that he is moving at another location in the downtown area. My fiancé and I had a great experience. When we started looking at rings, we had no idea what we were doing. We decided to visit all the jewelry stores at UVillage to see what was out there and BB happened to be the first jewelry store on our route. Shannon was very helpful and informative when we walked in, and she explained the myriad of different stones, cuts and settings in a way that was not condescending or overly complex. I knew I wanted a very specific and different center stone/cut, and Shannon did a great job of tracking some down (no easy task). She brought some into the store for us to take a look at and put them into different settings so I could see what it would look like in a ring. At that point in the process, I told her I'd let her and my then-boyfriend figure the rest out :) With Shannon's help, my fiancé chose a perfect center stone and setting--I absolutely love the ring! We went into the store a week after we got engaged to ask about care and maintenance of the ring. The manager was very helpful and informative, and he also checked my ring settings and cleaned it for me, which took no time at all. It's encouraging to know it'll be convenient, quick and easy to take my ring in for cleaning/check ups. My fiancé visited several other jewelers during his ring shopping and ended up returning to BB because they were so helpful and attentive. It was just really bizarre - I walked in 25 minutes later and the same woman who helped me didn't recognize me at all. She asked for my name and couldn't find my watch for a good 5 minutes until she realized she had asked for my first name and not my last. I cannot say enough positive things about Ben Bridge. They hooked us up with our wedding bling in a snap. We waited until the last minute to get rings after looking around for weeks and I thought it might be a lost cause with 8 weeks to go. Richard, now at the downtown store, took care of us and had the rings to us with a few days to spare. He even brought my wife's ring to me at my SoDo office once it came in as I was too busy to run up there in the middle of a work day. Since getting the rings, we have had to do maintenance on them a few times due to our carelessness, and they have always taken care of us in no time at all. I exprienced an "emergency" as a large stone fell out of my ring and the prongs were sharp. I couldn't remove the ring as my finger was swollen.I called Ben Bridge U Village and spoke with Nick about whether they could remove the ring (saw it off).He assured me he could. I went within the 1/2 hour and Nick helped me. He was very pleasant and trained. He removed the ring within minutes. He told me to wash my finger in the event there were metal shavings.I looked at rings and we discussed repairing and replacing the lost stone. We discussed my options. He was my life saver today. I offered to pay for the service but he said there was no charge and thanked me for offering. I am most pleased. read more

My experience with Ben Bridge jeweler is sadly not a pleasant one. I placed an order on there website after a recommendation from Pandora on Facebook. After my order was compete I received an email stating my order was received. Within a few days I received another email plainly saying my order couldn't be processed with no further explanation. Needing clarification I contacted the customer service department and was met with a lackluster customer service representative plainly stating there is nothing they can do, and sorry for your experience. After my experience with Ben Bridge I will NEVER place another order with them. But in closing I will say this the customer service department did contact me which is rare, and the webpage was nicely done. But this doesn't make up for the missing items I would of received had my order been processed. Completely disappointed. read more

When it comes to standing behind their product, they will treat you like you're wasting their time and then try to upsell another warranty down the road. We are being forced to pay $1000 for the repairs and additional $1500-$2000 for a new warranty after the repair so they can continue cleaning my wife's engagement ring in the future. Pay a total of $3000 or shelve the ring as a keepsake item and start over; on your ENGAGEMENT RING! *********************** Follow-Up 12/10/16 - Richard the manager of UVillage basically reiterated everything mentioned here for 15mins. He offered no alternatives, no assistance, and talked to my wife as if she was a inferior to him = no progress and more stress. The biggest problem we are having is Ben Bridge's customer service. The cost of the repair is irrelevant on such an iconic item. 1) There was no guarantee that the repair work will restore the ring to its original condition. Instead, they state that there maybe irregularities after the work is performed and we'll be stuck with whatever they do. 2) What keeps Ben Bridge from changing the care plan they are trying to sell us this year? I bought a care plan when I originally bought the ring, but over time Ben Bridge has "no record of it" and regardless the care plan back then does nothing for us now. 3) Ben Bridge as a company and staff has done nothing to win over our confidence that they will take care of us now or in the future! We are not looking for a discount on the repair work or new care plan. All we wanted is to know that our iconic ring will be treated with care as it represents our marriage and life together. Instead the company and staff, talk to us and treat us as second class people and a giant nuisance. Save yourself from this heartache and stress. Go somewhere, anywhere else! *********************** On 12/2016, my wife stopped in here to have her engagement ring cleaned and repaired; the platinum band had recently cracked at the bottom through the engraving and where they had sized the ring. We were surprised that a crack would occur after 9yrs and no major impacts but hey life happens. Nina the sales rep, informs my wife that the ring needs to be sent out to be assessed by their jeweler. My wife didn't mind too much bc she normally wears her wedding band every day. After 3days, Nina calls and informs us that it's going to cost about $1000 for all the repairs to the band and repairing the tips on a 9yr old engagement ring that has been lightly worn over the years. She stated that if we defer the repair they will no longer help us in the future if we have any issues with the diamonds or the band. I asked Nina if Ben Bridge would cover anything concerning the repairs since they did the original resizing/engraving of the band and their product guarantee states they'll replace any lost diamonds in the band and servicing. She said no, but she'll be happy to waste my time if I came back in to speak to her manager so he could say the same thing. I declined. Currently, we are hoping they send our ring back to us in the original condition we gave it to them. At least, we had purchased our wedding bands from Tiffany's and have had no problems with them servicing their products. read more

I've been to a wide range of jewelers over the years for various reasons. To me, one sign of a good jeweler is their attention to detail in the "little things" they do, like watch repair, jewelry cleaning, etc. This is the kind of thing that tends to build customer relationships and repeat business. I went in to have a special watch cleaned and tested, new battery, etc. as a gift I am going to give my new stepson at my wedding. Mind you, cleaning and repair does not amount to a big ticket sale compared to purchasing jewelry, but it still isn't cheap--they do charge a premium for these services. Anyway, the service was ok. I got the feeling that the gentleman who helped would rather have been doing almost anything else, but he was pleasant enough. Then, when I picked up my watch, the cleaning job was really not good. You can still see the dust that collects between the "links" of the metal watch band--which is generally the reason for getting a watch professionally cleaned--and around the clasp of the band. Again, this may seem minor, I feel it is the attention and care to these details that makes a jeweler great--and one that I would do business with in the future. read more

My fiancé and I had the best experience shopping here for a wedding band. Bryan, the manager, was amazing! We stopped in a couple of weeks ago to get my fiance's ring finger sized. Bryan took the time to explain all of the differences in sizing for different band widths and made sure we had all the info we needed, even though we told him we were just starting to look at rings and just wanted to get sizing info. He explained the different metals and colors and let us take pictures for reference. Bryan even cleaned my engagement ring while we were looking around. We didn't feel pressured to buy anything and appreciated the great customer service Bryan gave. A week later, we came back to order a ring from Bryan at Ben Bridge because we loved the ring we were looking at and thought Bryan gave the best customer service. The ring came in a week later, we picked it up, and Byan cleaned my engagement ring (and wedding band) again! I definitely recommend coming to Ben Bridge for wedding/engagement rings. Walked into this store with my boyfriend who wanted to buy me a promise ring for my birthday, he ended up buying one through pandora in this store and was told by one of the employees that the ring is 925 silver and wouldn't turn my finger green or black since it has no copper in it. 2 days later of wearing the ring, it turned my finger green and the inside of the ring was tarnished down to a copper color. Worst place to go if you need your watches serviced! I brought two luxury watches there that needed servicing. The lady at the counter placed them directly on the glass counter and was very careless in handling them. She knocked them against each other and was wearing a lot of jewelry (rings etc) which added to the damage. She seemed completely clueless on how to handle high end timepieces and was not apologetic at all. I wonder if any of the staff there have professional training. Overall, the staff weren't really polite and I'm puzzled why they are so snobbish when they don't seem to provide high quality service. I would never go back. read more

Do NOT go here for jewelry or getting it fixed. They are not professional, don't know what they are talking about, and a bit shady. We went here to get our Cartier watch fixed and when I got it back it came with water damage. I asked why this happened and they said it's because they opened the face?!! Uh? When I pay to get something fixed, it shouldn't come back in a worse condition. I then had to pay for the water spot damage?! I said this is something you guys caused and they said it "happens sometimes" so it's not their fault. I ended up paying to get that fixed and they said they will send it to Cartier this time to fix so it's done with Cartier professionally. When I got it back the 2nd time I asked for the receipt from Cartier. They give me a hand written note of what they "fixed". When I asked again for the Cartier detailed fix and receipt they said "oh, we just did it ourselves." I don't trust them anymore. Wth? read more
