Dorian Freeman exhibited excellent customer service. This was my 3rd trip to AT&T (not this store specifically) to get support with syncing my apple watch to my new iphone. The staff at the other 2 stores kept insisting the syncing would finalize at home, but it didn't. Went to this location to purchase a new iPhone. During the sales process, the store representative named Duane Paul tried to sell me new home internet. I told him I was not interested in changing my home internet provider. Somehow he decided to add a router and service to my ATT account without my consent. Two days later I received a used ATT router at my house. I called the store and Duane Paul told me to take the router to a UPS store to return to ATT. This whole process just wastes my time because of a salesman that is too eager to make sale. More to follow if I run in to issues completing the return. read more

Terrible customer service on two separate occasions now. Employers are not friendly, can't even give you a complete sentence or look you in the eye when speaking to you. Apparently their system is so outdated that most tasks are considered unable to do by them and they just tell you to call customer service. Would not recommend this location if you need anything done other than purchasing a new phone, which even then we had difficulties with wrong information we were told. We were also persuaded to switch plans because we were told it would be cheaper than what we have now and save us money. The plan ended up charging us over $100 more monthly, and when we went back to change to what we originally had, they "couldn't help us". read more

I wish I could leave 0 stars. Switching my phone company to AT&T has been horrific, and it has been mainly due to this specific store. The store had a promotion going on for service for $50 and it was confirmed multiple times that that was the final price. My bill has been atleast 4x that price every month. Corporate says I have to call this store and ask for a refund and I have called this store asking to speak with the manager 5 times now. Every time a worker answers they ask why I want to speak to a manager and who am I. I tell them I am a customer and that I have been trying to contact the manager regarding my bill and they always say that they will call back and still have not. I have called 3 times today already and they have placed me on hold, just to not return to the call. Save yourself time and money and don't even switch to AT&T, or if you do, just avoid this store at all costs. This is the worst service experience I've had in my entire life. I will continue to call every day though until this issue is fixed. read more

This review is for corporate AT&T. Not the store itself. We will post on all AT&T yelp page since it's within the family and there is no specific corporate page. We have been loyal AT&T customers for 15 years. We have a grandfather in unlimited data. So you would think they're honor and appreciate their loyal clients, but no. They're just a bunch of greedy service provider. Since they're are not offering unlimited data anymore. They decided to sent us a letter raising it by $5 more. This is a second letter we've received within 3 months. So every 3 months it seems we get another $5 increase in our plans. What a rip off. That's how AT&T treats their loyal customers of 15 years. So to all of you yelper in search of service providers. Keep in mind. AT&T does not care about you. They're out their to make $$$. So go with whichever provider that treats you the best with the best rates. read more

Walked in to this AT&T and was immediately greeted by not one but two employees; good sign! I was told it would be about a 15-min wait and 11 minutes later my name was called. The store is clean, the employees are friendly and I received great service. read more

Sales rep was friendly once she waited 30min to help me. Than told me that I needed to contact a 3rd party to have my screen repaired. I basically waited 30min to be told I would have to call a 3rd party and pay $150 to get a used phone. Waste of time. Just go to Mac Medics. This AT&T store will do everything they can to up sell you but very little when it comes to repairs and helping with damaged products they sell you. Clearly they just look for the quick one time sell and not the long term customer relationship. read more

I visited this store to add a line to my Apple Watch. The wait was very quick even with it being a Saturday afternoon. My sales associate was Njegan who did a great job assisting my needs. While I was waiting for my software update, I witnessed an irate customer complaining to Njegan how he was told that he needed to come into the store to make the necessary account changes. While Njegan was doing his best to calm the customer down, the store manager Tarrell Cheatham stepped in to assist. Tarrell was very professional and kept his poise while trying to defuse the situation. I've worked in customer service for 15yrs and must say that the professionalism that Tarrell demonstrated is very rare these days. I was "wowed" by his friendly interaction with this irate customer. This store definitely has a star employee and hopefully they recognize this as well. Tarrell also walked us out the door and ensured all of our needs were met. If anyone is in the market for a new phone, I highly recommend visiting this store and ask for Tarrell Cheatham. You won't be disappointed. read more

The SLOWEST Att store in the area. You'll save time by driving farther to go to another store. Staff is not very friendly either. Beware- would not accept a return on an unopened screen protector beyond 14 days. It was back ordered after I ordered it, so I had to buy another one for a new phone. Finally got around to returning it. Granted, 2 months later, unopened, and they wouldn't accept. 14 days is probably the worst return policy in the industry. read more

Also had to deal with Germaine's incompetence, greedy-ness, and out-right untruthfulness. I get into the store, where my sister calls in to see if they had the iPhone 6. They said they did, when I got there, Germaine greets me and asks, "Oh are you the one that called?" I said ,"Yes." He replies, "Ok we have the iphone 6 here ready." I get to his cronie, and once they found out that my sister had already signed an AT&T Next contract, and that they weren't going to get the commision, WITHIN 10 MINUTES, they had ran out of the iPhone. He was going to make us drive all the way to Germantown to pick up another iPhone. We ended up going to the Apple Store in Bethesda. They took care of us there. read more

The absolute worst customer service ever! They will say anything to get commission. I wanted out of a Sprint contract, I made the poor decision of doing this with minimal time. I've had nothing but issues with Sprint since I made the switch, AT&Ts story on buying out contracts is the exact opposite as Sprints, everything I was told at this location is quite the opposite. I got duped for sure! I made numerous attempts to resolve the issue, last I heard was "Charlie" would be reaching out to me. That was 2 weeks ago. Still no call. I've been on the phone with Sprint everyday for 2 weeks battling them. My schedule has been crazy due to the pandemic so getting to this store is absolutely impossible for me as they only allow so many ppl in the store at once and a manger must be present to resolve my issues. It just doesn't align for me. I can't speak for AT&T as a whole, but this location..... just throw the whole store away. I refuse to step foot back in it. Greg, the manager on 8/25/19 at noon, was kind of a jerk. I wanted to find out about the phones but he was fixated on trying to get me to wait until September when he was SURE the prices were going to drop. He seemed completely unaware of the tariffs on Chinese goods coming down the pike. Didn't want to talk about it. Kept cutting me off. He put my name on the list to be talked to further. Then he and the floor associate went into the back. They let me sit there for 15 minutes even though every other person in the store had been helped. This jerk clearly cares more about being in control and being right than providing basic decent customer service. Definitely taking my business elsewhere. read more

This is more a review of Corporate AT&T. When I switched my number back in March, there was a promo of a $250 bill credit if you ported your number over from a competitor. So 7 months later and we still don't see the bill credit. I contacted AT&T via online chat and they said they have no record of the promotion. Mind you, this promotion was blasted all over TV, Internet and Radio ads. They even asked me for proof the promo existed. Does anyone snap a photo of the TV or even the ads in the stores? I was dumb enough to think they'd honor the bill credit for switching. Don't trust AT&T if you're looking for a bill credit through a promo and make sure it's on your contract that you sign. I asked the sales guy Ron J about two phones and asked what is the difference. Wouldn't you think telling someone if it didn't have an SD card slot would be important to tell? Well he didn't. So therefore I needed to return/exchange it for more GB.The sales guy named Ronald J had problems returning my phone. He said I would have to wait until the other manager comes back on Friday to solve the problem and he or the manager will call me. It was on a Tues. I left and drove to another ATT store because I need to take care of this situation asap. I was so glad I did. The other ATT store went above and beyond to help me. Hands down to Oscar Pocasangre! He was able to return the phone. Didn't charge me the return fee due to the fault of the Severn store and I got my new corrected phone the next day. No one from the Severn store bother to call me or ask me about the phone I needed to return. Ron or the manager. Oh and he also told me to avoid the return fee, I could just return to customer service for free. Well that was wrong and they said unless I ordered through them directly in which I didn't. Pathetic and lying scammers in Severn to get sales. Once they get a sale and you sign that line they will ignore you after. read more

Buyer beware..went in to do a simple upgrade. Antonio Russell (agent) tried to change my " grandfathered" account to one that would give him a commission. I declined but he still bypassed certain questions and I apparently added all kinds of mobile insurance adding a substantial commission to his pockets. Corporate remedied my account and deleted the changes, but Germaine (manager) did nothing about it. I was told that most agents do this because they are all commission paid. Unless you catch it in the receipt some don't show you what you're signing for. Very shocked. Never thought they could or would take advantage like this. Check your receipt. Antonio made sure I signed it and put everything in a sealed box and into the bag- probably hoping I would forget about it. Do everything in online or via phone for peace of mind. read more

These guys are wonderful! They went out of their way to discuss how we use our data and where our problems are. Our sales associate, Brian Genius was extremely knowledgeable about AT&T and worked with us to come up with a plan. We left happy and felt heard. Unfortunately,it took us less than 48hrs to figure out that that plan would not work for us after all. We went back and spoke with Brian (who gave up his dinner break to help us through this) & his manager Felipe Paulino. Felipe went into his back office and worked with corporate to find us a solution. They went out of their way to help us find a solution that will work for us perfectly! I have to speak about one of the other associates there as well who spent time discussing our unique situation and our option for a satellite dish. She was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful as well. The people in this store are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly! read more

Just had an outstanding experience at this store. I have been to others in the area and had "meh" experiences, not so today. My "smart" phone went stupid on me and I figured it was time to get a new one. I walked in and was immediately greeted by Khalid. We sat down and talked about my issue as he fought his way through all the screens that he had to address to get to my account. Finally there, he talked about all of my options and then made several suggestions that saved me HUNDREDS of dollars. He didn't have to do that, he gets commission I am sure. He just worked with me to figure out what was best for my situation. It did take a little while, mostly because there was a lot of (frustrating) screen work he had to do, but I was his focus and he made me feel like a valued customer. Once everything was completed he gave me his phone number so that I could reach out to him for any problems I might encounter. Perhaps it was just sympathy for an older woman but his understanding and attentiveness was very much appreciated. I would recommend this store and Khalid to anyone and already told my own family about the experience. read more
