This is insane, called the store 30 min before arriving at the store asking to pick up my new phone, which was "locked in the safe." Fast forward 30 min, and we arrived only to be told to wait "another 10 min for the safe to open." Fine, we go next door to eat, then come back. The same guy who who was being helped is still needing help. It's insane how much the sales rep talks. Just do what you need to do and slim down on the chitterchatter, especially when 7 people are waiting and you are the only person working in the store. Get people in and out, brobro. Nothing is "just 20 minutes" with you. We waited almost 2 hours to even be called up to get our phone after being 2nd in line for the whole 2 hours. Like you couldn't have started our transfer while talking to him? I don't get it. You checked out the 2 customers that were buying random shit but didn't start our phone transfer? This is almost as bad as Comcast. The only difference is that you can skip the automated voice on the comcast customer support line, and you can't skip our sales reps voice. Both will still waste 2 hours of your time getting 1 simple task done, helping other people in line behind you, and having annoying music playing in the background while you are waiting. We were there for over an hour, with 2 people working, we were next and they said we will be right with u as soon as we can. 1st guy finished then went in back. We thought we were next, NO he comes out with his gear on and leaves the store.....crazy to think they have 2 workers on a Sunday and 1 leaves at 3.30 knowing 2 more people are there to be waited on. Barely received a greeting upon entering, waited about 10 minutes then got a half hello from the employee who was supposed to be our sales representative. As we're walking to the desk to he employee then told us "hold on" while he continued his phone conversation...uh okay?? We sat down at his desk while he continued his conversation uninterested in our business. When he decided to eventually tend to us, we explained what we came in for, to switch our phone service to Verizon, and he started blurting out prices. Okay, what's included in that? Honestly, Worst Experience Ever. This Is Not a Verizon Store! No more than Walmart is a Kraft or Nestle Store. Just because they are Authorized to Sell Does Not Mean They Are That Company! Just Using The Verizon Reputation, which I should have Recognized (Seriously Kicking Myself!) And In My Opinion, Should Not Be Allowed. My first impression... Wow not really busy for Black Friday we lucked out. Walking in we were promptly greeted and told they would be with us soon. The Staff Seemed Friendly (Yet Somewhat Methodical) I had researched the Black Friday Deals for about two hours on THE VERIZON WEBSITE. I felt quite prepared and Informed. We knew exactly what we wanted as we were both eligible for an upgrade. About a 30 minute wait and it was our turn. Anthony introduced himself and asked how he could help us. We requested two Samsung Galaxy Note 9's ($400 off Each for Black Friday making them $600 each). When we asked what colors were available... Lavender was the only choice so we went with it. Then I told him we also wanted the Galaxy A Tablets with each phone, I commented how easy I was making his job and the sale. He did a couple of up sells not giving the price rather "How Much We Were Going To Save" adding the insurance for all 4 devices. Next Offering the Bundle to Save Even More Money. 2 Otterbox Defender Cases, a Car Charger, a Power Bank and 2 Pure Gear LIQUID GLASS (Looked like a wet nap for 60 each!) Once I asked about total cost this is when he became rather quiet. No Actually Detail (Even When Asked Directly "Bottom Line How Much Total" 4 Times!) I should have walked out then and there! He would quote the deal over again not giving up the details, just mumbled about activation and set up for each of the 4 devices which I was aware of as we had been with Verizon for 15 or more years. He finally said around $685. Which wouldn't have left us much to do any other shopping. I asked for the breakdown and the reply I got was it will be on you receipt. He the offered Smart Pay, 90 days same as cash for the Bundle, this I way I would make the first payment WITH the activation that day and I could pay off the Bundle my next payday 7 days later. Logged into smart pay after we left to find out there were Fees of $7.91added to each payment and turned $302.58 into 617.52 (if not Paid in Full within the 90 days) even after my 1st installment paid that day. Summary We Paid $350.92 in the store, I paid Smart Pay off immediately $333.82. Just got my Verizon Bill $231 More Than My Regular Bill! That has the Activation Fees For All 4 Device on it and upgrade Fees For Each! I took a closer look at my Victra Documents and was charged $19.99 "set up" for all 4 devices, $19.99 for the first tablet and $49.99 for the second Tablet that was supposed to be $20 and He Added 2 Redux Single Line Memberships $29.99 each without my knowledge! Total Cost $915.74 Plus $2,000 ($1,000 each) for the 2 Phones that we will pay for Monthly on our bill! I can't say enough about this Verizon store. The level of customized service you get when shopping here is out of this world. I decided one day "Hey why not give this Verizon store a try" in passing. And I'm glad I did. Within 20 minutes talking with a service rep I was hooked. I now go out of my way to go to this store even when there's a few closer to me. My last visit here I went to get my iPhone upgraded. While I was talking to a manager and a rep about my job in the tech industry they thought I should give the Samsung S6 Edge a try; they said people in my industry love what the phone provides over the iPhone. I've had an iPhone since my second phone! Crazy I let them talk me into it, but they assured I'd love it and would make it right if I didn't. Well I didn't like it... I loved it. I received the confirmation text at 6:19 -telling me I would receive a confirmation text when it is your turn to be seen. The text never came and I watched them close the store at 8 pm. Do not go here . They are all about the upsale and not giving you the full picture. They will offer you a "free" tablet . It will cost you about $75 in taxes and activation fees and then a monthly fee ( they won't mention the monthly part ) . They will say something like it's a $20 line charge , forgetting to tell you $20 a month . If you realize it after , they will try to charge you a $70 restocking fee . Great service and staff!! This store is so much better than any regular Verizon store around. This is located in Harundale Plaza next to Burlington Coat Factory. The staff seems actually interested in helping customers, unlike most Verizon stores. They also take the time to help set up your device, answer any questions and really listen to you. These "Verizon" reps will lie and say anything to make a sale. They tell you things "HAVE TO" be bundled and then back step to let you know maybe they can sell just one item from the bundle to you. They told us they had to un-enroll us in One Bill with Verizon for the transaction and then we simply had to make a call to re-enroll in a week. Turns out once you are out of the One Bill you can't re-enroll because it is no longer a thing. They are not a Verizon store, just Verizon authorized retailer. I will never go into this store front again as I will never believe anything they have to say. Going to a "real" Verizon location where they don't lie to make a sale. read more

I recently went to this store for a simple bill pay since my laptop broke and I couldn't pay my bill online. As soon as I walked in the door, the door had not even shut yet and I was greeted with a very firm handshake by the store manager Tyler Gallagher and may I say, he was by far the friendliest, most professional, and personable individual I have encountered in any Verizon store I have ever been too in my whole 14+ years of being with Verizon (which I was thanked for by Mr. Gallagher within minutes of being in the store, which I thought was superb!). I was truly blown away by the level of service I received all around. He even asked if he could "clean and charge" my phone well we worked on my bill payment! The list goes on and on, bottom line.. this level of customer service needs to be recognized by his manager, and his managers manager and so on because I was THAT BLOWN AWAY by my experience in the store with him. It's nice to know that this company knows how to bring in true passionate employees like Tyler as this store has just earned a customer for life, not only for myself but for all my friends and family members and co workers I have told this experience about too. Not to mention the fact that I was informed about this awesome product called HUM that I had never once been told about before in the 6-7 times I have been in other Verizon stores in the area in the past year!! The manager showed me how it works with the demo version he had on his phone and had me sold from the moment he stated showing me how it could keep my family and I safe on the road. It's one of the best products I have ever purchased hands down! AAA & OnStar have nothing on hum! It's crazy to know that I would of never would of known about this if I had not gone into the Glen Burnie store and met Tyler. so, with my terrible review that this store deserves, along with all employees working there.. let me just add i have worked in customer service for 5+ years now, to be knowledgable is expected, friendly & willing to do everything possible to make ends meet for customers to turn a bad situation good, i've never seen such opposite from a business. customer service is everything, maybe just being a guiniene, caring human being comes hard to others, but the point of good customer service is so customers return to your business and enjoy returning there. it's for sure the opposite with this store. hence why we are going through such legal action for all mislead/misgiven info and employees not acting on what is telling me is gonna be done. and, when customer service for verizon replies on this yelp site, emails you, tells you they will be calling within 48 hours so i'm able to speak with someone, you never get a call. verizon is simply all talk no action with everything from your phone bill, to giving you free things that aren't really free and no one explaining that you will be charged, to management not following up on their word. you can talk about what you are going to do all you want, but to actually take action when you are in the wrong numerous occasions is another. if i can give anyone advice, i wouldn't recommend verizon, (read my last review) but if you do, do not go to this glen burnie haurandale location, you will get screwed on your bill and get charged more, get false infprmation, have to return to store to try to fix issues, have manager tyler say how he is going to fix issues, but doesn't, which brings you back into the store again, still doesn't fix issues, and make sure you are only charged once for activation fees, they will charge you 2 times if you don't pay attention, if they tell you that you get a free tablet, do not accept, they won't tell you about how you will get charged monthly for it as another line, and they will read everything you want to hear about contract behind a computer and have you sign on a screen your name then you have already signed and get your papers at the end after already signing and will find problems, and you have already signed so they screwed you completely. no one who works hard for their money deserves to go through any of this. or anyone that has any kuth as a human being. read more
