I came into this business at 4pm on a Saturday. They close at 9pm. I need help from a manager, for an override on an upgrade. This issue was because customer service attempted ti upgrade me and i declined because i wanted to perform the upgrade in the store. Therefore representative informed me of the issue and said that the manager just left and not one there was empowered to perform the override. Then, I'm informed that they will not have a manager in the next day. Therefore, i must wait an additional day to get the upgrade. The young lady to me that I could call ATT phone support to get the approval and the. She could help me. Well.... After sitting on hold for 20 minutes, an automated message advised me that the call center is closed and i should visit a store or ATT.com. What the absolute heck is going on? 1. Why is there not a manager or assistant manager available during store hours? 2. Why would an associate not offer to own the issue and call customer support with they phone and allow me to speak when make contact with a support person. 3. Why have a store open with no one empowered to handle escalated issues. I expect this lack of support from an authorized retailer but not from an actually ATT corporate store. Me and my wife came here to upgrade our phones. We traded in an iPhone 12 Pro and 13 pro. We were told the 13 pro would cover the cost of the new phone and that we would receive $850 for the iPhone 12 Pro for trade in value. But after we received the new phone via delivery and swapped everything over and brought back the old phones to trade in, we were told we would only receive $350 for the iPhone 12 Pro and that there was nothing that could do about the trade in value. We upgraded 2 phone and watches because of the savings we would receive by doing so, as told to us by the employee and because we were receiving good trade in values for our phones. The only remedy they told us was we could downgrade one phone to a generation older to get a cheaper payment and that was it. But now we just feel like we got conned and lied too. The employee acted like they thought we had the same trade in phones even though it was discussed multiple times of the difference in trade in value during our initial visit. Our monthly phone bill is now $140 over what we were told it would be. It's very frustrating and unprofessional that they wouldn't hold to what we were originally promised. If you do business here, I suggest you get everything in writing or documented. read more

My question was not complicated but obviously Jacob has no manners. Was told 3 different locations to go to turn in my awful Wi-Fi modem, just to be told to take it to the UPS Store. (I had initially asked the phone center and they said to take it to the store). I would have rated them high. Very quick and seamless process. But beware. They will add features and add on's without your permission that will cost you money. Now it will be my time to have them removed. The fix: "you will have to come back in with your ID for us to remove the feature you don't want from your account." Unfortunately I don't live close. I just experienced the worst customer service hands-down. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars through my company at AT&T and I am blown away with this most recent experience. The employees at this particular location are incompetent. I was encouraged two purchase a phone that didn't match the memory of my previous phone. No due diligence was done on my behalf to determine whether or not it was a good fit. In the end I lost five days of data and ours an hours of time. When It was determined the problem wasn't anything to do with the data transfer upon my third trip to the store I was then hit with a restocking fee and told it was my fault because I selected the wrong phone. The retail store manager Eric Johnson Has very little idea On how to support a loyal customer. I have no idea why people give this place bad reviews because I have to tell you I've had nothing but good experiences at this AT&T location. Most of the time the people here know what they're doing they're helpful and they do what they can to make your life a little easier. They've got a great selection of phones and tablets and all kinds of great stuff and the place is very big and roomy and easy to deal with. Although I have come here and many times they don't have enough sales people to help you and it does take some time because you will have to wait and that's definitely a downside. Had to give one star to leave a comment, this store deserves less. Went in early in the morning, no customers and no waiting. Asked the employees, Gary and another employee without a visible name tag, if they would help me out and replace the protective screen on my iPhone. They joked around and said they charge $5.00. I asked really? Gary said he would do it for me. I wish they would have just said they do not, or even just flat out would not replace my protective screen. He removed the old broken glass protector and replaced the new had clear protector that I had just purchased from Best Buy. Only thing is he plainly did not care about helping me. When I got outside of the store I could see the marks where the glass cracks used to be and he did not even try to keep the bubbles to a minimum. I doubt that I will use this store again. I went into the store with my broken I phone 11. Was sent to a repair place in Tempe no dice so insurance was a waste. I go back in big guy with a beard says "since there's no cracks in your screen we will give you $700. I get a new phone then pair them. Go in the next day to turn it in guy says " ok $350 because of the damaged screen". Lots of un educated employees here stay away. Definitely was a bait and switch. Please go to a supplier that has morals and integrity. This place definitely isn't it. Makes me understand why I was the only customer. Called to ask a couple questions about having service during an international trip I have coming up. The lady on the phone was SO RUDE; she continued to cut me off mid-question and made it seem like I was a total inconvenience (despite the fact that I kept her on the phone for a total of 3 minutes). I called another location because the information she gave me seemed totally invalid. Come to find out it was. Called her back because that location was closest to my home and I wanted to make an appointment, well she was twice as rude the second time. Went on to tell me that "the person at the other store doesn't know what they're talking about". She was so rude I asked why she was being rude, & she replied with "well I'm answering your questions thoroughly so I don't see the problem". She told me I'd have service in one of the 210 countries they offer service in without asking me what country I was going to... I said "how do you know you were helping me if you don't even know where I'm going?". She curtly replied "well usually people travel in the 210 countries we offer service in". Jin was amazing I believe he is a sales representative I was so confused with my bill and had so many questions he answered every single one of my questions with a adequate explanation what every fee I was being charged by he even gave me tips on how to maintain my family plan I had been to this location prior to today's encounter and didn't leave to happy because I left confused and still had questions that day I was helped by a female. I now know what my proper monthly bill is and don't have to be continuously calling customer service because to be honest they suck and always have given me different amounts of my bill. Large and clean store! I've been coming to this location for about 4 years now. I've always been greeted and quickly helped. My questions are always answered and when i leave i feel like My problem has been resolved. If anyone, anywhere needs to open a new mobile phone account and the most up to date phone on the market to supplement, this store location is the one for you! You can use someone else's social security number, name, address, and anyones drivers license to prove who you are, as long as you pay them the tax, they will send the person whose social security number it actually belongs to the bill! Hiro the manager confirmed this for me and also will not help you if you need it when you try and call the fraud department. I should have known it was a red flag when in my first of many phone calls to the fraud department rang twice before letting me know they are so busy that the only way you can submit a claim is online. Of course they are!! Shocked!! Tempe Marketplace is one of many locations of AT&T that would take your fake drivers license as long as you have a name, address and SS#! The manager of the store location, Hiro, the fraud department, and customer service could care less, just want the bill paid! So much so that the person on the wrong end of it will have to pay it!! The four stars are for you Amber. You definitely are an amazing salesperson and the only one that actually knew what she was talking about. I would have put 5 stars....but somethings are lacking...like the other employees that stand there looking stupid when I am obviously there to buy a phone. One word: EXPLOSION! I got an email promo Thursday night, I was getting ready to board a flight and when I woke up at 8:30 on Friday morning I called to see if I was eligible. I was told I was, but the long and short - after 3 transfers and what not. My fiance lives in Mesa and I'm in S.F. So we had to go to the store together to purchase, activate, and get new phones and upgrade. Well lo and behold what was NOT told to me was that I'm 8 months into a 2 year contract so I'm not eligible for next. Even though that was what was written in my notes. SO - we get to Tempe Marketplace, and CASSANDRA comes over to help us. Lord have mercy, if I could have someone fired it'd be this girl. It was SO outrageously obvious she didn't want to help us. SO then she "talks to her manager" who unequivocally says no as well. It was a manager override position. So she hands me this OLD broken down landline phone to call "directly into AT&T" "just keep pressing 0's" ....well that didn't work. ...I got someone on the line by listening to prompts, and was explaining to him the problem. HE, the phone rep, was TRYING to help. Cassandra was over gossiping with her coworkers. My fiance asked about a fitbit, she couldn't be bothered. Finally I snapped at her and flagged her down. She and the phone rep went blow for blow on the phone. Her snobby, snotty attitude needs to be DEFLATED. She works AT and FOR AT&T. I was offered a promotion which they NEEDED to make right. At the end of the day my fight was out and I wanted to literally knock this girl out because of her crappy attitude towards us. I rated a 0 on a phone and personality survey. AT&T customer service ended up calling me back yesterday to find out WHY I rated them 0. After listening to the way she SPOKE to ME and her "colleague" over at phone support at AT&T I doubt that she'll have a job. The customer service rep was as offended and outraged as I was. Spare yourself. It's Tempe Marketplace NOT Scottsdale and sure as HELL not San Francisco. read more

I just don't know if I can keep putting up with this company. They kinda have me trapped in their contract and the only reason that I am even with them is because they were the only people who had i-phone's to begin with. I think I drop calls about once a phone call. It has gotten to the point where it is just easier to text because I don't want to deal with all the dropped calls. They also charge a ton for data I just want an unlimited plan and call it a day. The clerks are never very helpful, more like sad robots. The AT&T corporate store is seriously damaging the corporate reputation. The store manager (Brittany Politt) and employee (Steven) do not know what they are doing, provide no customer service, and do not solve problem. I ask consumers buy device directly from the manufacturer instead of through carriers like AT&T. Given so many bad reviews and customer experience with their interactions in the store, I urge AT&T corporate management to look into closing the corporate stores because they are not helpful, waste of money, and damaging the company reputation! read more

Great service from Andrew (even though I didn't deserve it). Solved my problem and gave me a good deal in the process. My iPhone stopped getting cell reception while i was in the middle of a business trip. I was frustrated when I got to the store and was short with Andrew as he worked to troubleshoot the problem. Andrew was competent and professional even though I wasn't. Heck of a thing for him to do. When he recommended replacing my phone he offered me a pretty good deal on the new one . . . and a fair trade in on the broken one. Then he set it up. By this time I'd had a chance to realize my poor behavior. I thanked him and commended him to the store manage.
