The receptionist called me the same day and said it was going to be ready at 6pm. When I arrived, not only was the car no where near being finished, but nobody was working on it. I initially took the car to another shop, USA Auto, because of their flexible hours. Unfortunately, that visit resulted in a nearly three-figure diagnostic fee and an estimated $3,000+ repair bill. After doing a little research, I discovered this is a common issue with her car; caused by not properly securing the gas cap after refueling. To confirm, I purchased an OBD2 scanner from Amazon, took photos of the codes, reset the lights, and took the readout to Leavitt's Auto Care. At Leavitt's, they confirmed no immediate repairs were needed. While there will eventually be work required on the catalytic converter due to normal wear and tear, the current issue wasn't urgent. Best of all, they didn't charge me anything for the inspection! This honesty and professionalism are exactly why we keep coming back to Leavitt's Auto Care.
