To see if he would help with this deal and he laughed and said and you want help on an electronic instrument that the customer installed 8 months ago. When the Customer not read when he turned it on it would have said Speed. Talking to the Riggers that did not show up to help this man they said he was too hard to deal with and the internet junk rigging the boat owner had was dangerous and I said the same when I saw it. I ask my West Marine Representative if he would help get this straight and said no way due to 8 months time gone by. I had West Marine Pro to send me the right Instrument and it was $300.00 more dollars than the speed that the Customer installed himself 8 months ago. I told the boat owner West Marine Pro would not Participate but they had the correct I40 depth was in stock and I would.have it mid week. The Boat owner said Bullshit he could get one the next day and called me a F'n liarat that point I hung the phone up. This man text me for several hours a day. I gave this gentleman 4 dates to hull the boat and install the correct Instrument. I told the customer to keep the speed instrument as it really is needed his boat and as is the depth instrument. The dates I gave him none was good for his schedule.At that point I realized nothing was going to please him. This man wrote a nasty email to Bill the owner of the marina a nasty letter and said my incompetence and other insults about my inexperience. 50 YEARS IN THIS BUSINESS i Love lead me to believe that nothing I would do to help these people would do would satisfy them. So after the insults almost fist fights and he swinging his cane at my wife he is a lucky man. I told him fair Weather and Following Sea's a d good luck at what ever Marina he was headed to. Hands down, they are the best. Honest, value conscious, capable, trustworthy and customer centered. I've been bringing my vehicles here for six years. I live in NOVA, but I have all of my vehicle repairs made at Harris. They are that good. My home is about a 15 minute drive from Harris Garage. They will bring me home after I drop the vehicle off; and pick me up when the vehicle is ready. After many vehicle inspections, I can vouch that they have never found unexpected problems; and they have not tried to elevate the bill to a certain dollar amount by recommending unnecessary repairs. (Not sure about that review criticizing their inspections.) Harris Garage is the best in Gloucester. Hands down!

I came in for an oil change, simple as that. They sent coupons in the mail. I made an appointment…read moreearly in the morning, yet still waited over an hour for an oil change that should have taken 20 minutes. The mechanic finally came out and told me I was "6k miles overdue on my spark plugs" I told him my REGULAR mechanic just changed them maybe 2 months ago. This was the first red flag, as a woman by myself I could sense they were trying to upsell me on something I didn't need. Then he goes on to say I have an oil leak--the worst/hardest kind to fix, and gave me a quote of over $1000. I had just in the last few months had a lot of work done on my car, diagnostic as well, and found it pretty convenient my regular mechanic didn't catch an oil leak but they somehow did. I declined the estimate, took my car home and spoke with multiple mechanics. I let cardboard sit under my car for several days and not a drop of oil appeared. At the advice of my mechanic I also let my engine idle for 15 minutes with the cardboard underneath, as he said some leaks do not drip until pressure builds in the engine. Still NOT A DROP! He explained to me that companies like HARRIS send out these coupons for oil changes to get you in the door, and then upsell you on all this work you don't need. They make very little money just doing oil changes all day why else would they practice business this way when they are a full service garage? I will NEVER return, and shame on them for trying to scam a young woman by herself, just trying to get her oil changed for a good price.
