Not a fan of the service we received from At Last Pool and Spa. The weekly service was inconsistent, and the communication was lacking. We did not like the expectation of the company that we would leave a side gate open for them on service days or provide a key. There was little to no communication about the work being done or what would be necessary for the pool. They were very communicative and timely around asking for payment at the end of the month. They wrote all over our system in sharpie, and regularly failed to communicate between technicians, so we were answering the same questions over and over. Rates were competitive, but the value did not equate to the provided service or lack of communication--around service times, maintenance, and the services themselves. The technicians changed frequently, and we were often left feeling like we were added to a schedule as opposed to a regular weekly customer. I have had my pool serviced for approximately 1.5-2 years. For the past 7 months or so my pool has looked subpar and for the summer had issues with algae and pool not looking clean enough to swim. It is an issue if you want to go for a swim and you have to clean and question whether to swim in your own pool. I have complained and made suggestions periodically to clean filters in hopes that would solve the issue. Of course I am not a pool man but no one else seemed to think it was a problem. Regardless my complaints were met with, can you send me picture or I will come and clean it, never a discussion about why the pool kept getting algae or was dirty. I noticed that my pump was turning on before 6 am instead of 9 am and running for 14+ hours this summer. I have been extremely busy with a postgrad/doctorate program and my partner is renovating another home while we both work full time. I meant to ask why the pump is running so long sooner but forgot about it until I was awaken just before 6 am with the pump making a loud noise. Long story short. At Last was not very helpful. It took over a week before a technician contacted me. Meanwhile I did my own investigation and could see that the pump had been leaking for some time. When I finally got a call I had a lot of questions that were met with inconsistencies and defensiveness. No accountability on the lack of attention to an ongoing problem. To say the least this prompted me to look elsewhere and have found extremely helpful professionals that provided great education as to what caused the problem. The quote I received from At Last was more expensive than its competitors and included less (in equipment and work). It's a red flag if 4 other companies are saying one thing and this company is saying something else. Steve was not a good serviceman and did not address the problems or manage the equipment. I had a variable pump which should not be running at a high speed for 14 +hours. Jason, the tech was defensive and protective of his brother n law. I would not recommend this company. I did not trust they could do the repairs properly, especially when they couldn't admit or address an ongoing problem. read more

He came out to my house to take a look and fixed the problem the same day! When I ran into another unrelated issue a few days later he said he couldn't come out to the house that day so he suggested FaceTiming, right then! He solved the problem remotely. Our jacuzzi has been broken for years. It had some weird filter code and then stopped working altogether. The lights, jet, heating....none of it was functional. It was basically a very small swimming pool for my kids. Then the top broke....and mosqitoes moved in. And then we drained it, thinking it was probably just going to get tossed out.
