Mr Walt picked up the phone and went over all the issues we have during the conversation. Surprisingly he took immediate action and came to our house on the same day! He checked the existing equipment and texted me all the details including all the parts we need to replace plus the labor associate with each item. He is very knowledgeable on what he is doing and he came to our house again on the next day to replaced all the broken parts. He took pictures and videos to send over to my cellphone so that I can confirm the pool is working perfectly after his service. Most important part is the price was very reasonable and I didn't even negotiate the invoice. Moreover, he addressed all the potential issues that our pool may have and provide the options to me. Since I will sell the property soon I don't want to spend that much money on "remodel" or "rebuild" the pool as long as it works properly. There was little to no communication about the work being done or what would be necessary for the pool. They were very communicative and timely around asking for payment at the end of the month. They wrote all over our system in sharpie, and regularly failed to communicate between technicians, so we were answering the same questions over and over. Rates were competitive, but the value did not equate to the provided service or lack of communication--around service times, maintenance, and the services themselves. The technicians changed frequently, and we were often left feeling like we were added to a schedule as opposed to a regular weekly customer. Given everything, we will be seeking alternative options for this season.

Our house was a flip, and whoever patched up the pool before us did a quick, cosmetic job that started falling apart within months. The plaster came off in sheets, the 1960s tile was covered in decades of calcium buildup, the coping was old red brick with mortar literally crumbling out, and some jets and plumbing didn't even work. The pool was technically swimmable, but it was depressing to look at. This summer our weekly pool cleaner told us the plaster was about to fail completely, so we started calling around for estimates. Most of the big corporate companies gave us inflated quotes and made us feel like just another job number. A trusted friend recommended Oscar's, so we checked Yelp, saw all the great reviews, and gave him a call.
