YOU MUST SEE STEVEN IF YOU HAVE BACK PAIN! I saw Steven last week and expected just another deep tissue massage. It was so much better than I could have imagined. I travel full time and have seen at least 50 therapists in the states this year alone. Only a handful have stood out to me and Steven is one of them. He offered Ashiatsu instead of the typical "hands only" massage and I intuitively felt good about it and said YES. After we are complete and I started walking around I could instantly tell the difference. For the first time in several months I had no lower back pain. I realized I forgot what it was like not to be on pain. Steven's skills were a pain relief miracle for me! I am passing through again this weekend and sadly he won't be working and to say I am bummed is an understatement. Today, I had my second massage with Kristy. She's friendly & sweet, & is wonderful at what she does. My husband & I have tried many massage therapists & haven't had the best experiences. We've been wanting to find a place where we can go to regularly & know that we will have a good massage. After having some painful massages, my husband has been reluctant to see a new LMP but after my last two massages with Kristy, I've convinced him to see her. I get massage often. I am new to the area so I was looking for a new massage therapist. I found a few possibilities and started with this one. I told the appointment setter what type of massage I wanted and the type of massage therapist I wanted and she said she had the exact massage therapist for me and set up an appointment for me. The waiting room was nice. The intake was easy. When the massage therapist came out, she was brusque and appeared to be in a not great mood. We talked a little about essential oils. This place has a preoccupation with essential oils. They are everywhere and it's assumed it will be part of the treatment. They don't use high quality essential oils - they use and sell doTerra, which is a low grade MLM essential oils line. They also don't use essential oils that are therapeutically related to what you are there for... they ask what scent you want. So... ok, nice scent during massage. If it's a good massage, no worries. So we went back to the treatment room. I told her exactly the issue I needed help with and pointed to the areas that I was having trouble with. We started the session. She focused a little on areas that were related to the problem area but really didn't seem to be finding any trigger points or having an 'ah hah moment' at all. At some point, she asked if I was ok with hot rocks and hot towels. Thinking that maybe she had something specific in mind, I said yes. This just sent her into an almost robotic routine of placing hot rocks and doing some things with towels. I've had hot rock massage before... this was not a good one. I have also had hot towels during a massage and she was not good at that either. Not only that, by the end of the massage, a good portion of our time had been spent on something that had nothing to do with why I was there and the issue was not addressed. In summary, the massage therapist had a predetermined routine in mind for what would happen and spent very little effort actually addressing the issue I came in for, essential oils just kind of hang around, and the massage was not great. I briefly considered going back to a different massage therapist but in hindsight, I just don't want to go back. It was Meh at best. read more

I had my first visit with Stephanie at Still Point Massage. It was a wonderful experience from the time I walked in the door. I love the essential oils used and it's not an overwhelming smell of scents when I walked inside. That's typically what I'd notice because I have to be careful with my asthma and sometimes trying a new place can be hard. My asthma didn't bother me at all. The rooms are pretty and the massage table has nice padding on it. It was quite comfy! Plus you can have the table heated if you like. I did a combination of hot and cold rocks. Finding someone to help me with my acne and skin care and waxing has been really hard in the past because either they way over-waxed my eyebrows or weren't very friendly, or were just impossible to contact. But Ali at Still Point is always so sweet and gives me personalized advice and samples from every facial and waxing service. She's always having some sort of special going on and can ALWAYS be reached by texting her whenever something comes up and I need to reschedule or add some services to my visit (like more waxing for an upcoming holiday or event or a stress-break out I need cleared up)! She works magic on my skin and obviously knows her stuff and the great products, she keeps up on all the newest innovations for skin care and is now even expanding into cellulite treatments! The studio is beautifully decorated and comfortable. I feel instantly relaxed as soon as I step into the massage room. For my most recent massage, I saw Kristy for the first time. She made sure to ask if I had any problem areas, issues, or allergies. I asked for deep pressure and oh did I get it! I left feeling like my problem areas had been worked out, but relaxed and refreshed at the same time. When I called and set up the appointment I let them know that this was my first massage and they communicated very well with me with what they do, their services, and everything. I felt like I had a million questions and they didn't make me feel dumb at all which I'm very thankful for lol!! (Thanks for the patience) My massage therapist was Stephanie and she was awesome. She told me to communicate with her with whatever I needed. I didn't communicate much though because she did amazing and I trusted that she knew what to do. I don't think I've ever been so relaxed in my entire existence. The receptionists were great and Stephanie was great. I was a little disappointed by this place given the amazing reviews they had. For one appearances say a lot and I am not sure if they had just moved into this location but the outside looked a little uninviting. I was glad the inside was much better but a bit empty. I splurged on myself and got a 90 minute deep tissue massage and let me tell you it was not deep tissue. It felt like the gal Mariah was somewhat new or maybe we just didn't click. I just had the BEST massage ever. I'm a massage whore and there are a LOT of great therapist in the area. I bought a MOBBA deal for the hubs for Christmas and he went and saw Jenn for a massage and he LOVED it. When I saw they had another offer I bought one for myself. I had a 60 min massage + 15 min scalp treatment. Jenn was phenomenal! She used great pressure and checked in with me a couple times to make sure it was right for me. She did NOT chat me up during the massage which is a huge pet peeve of mine. When I initiated conversation she was responsive but didn't continue talking when I stopped. The room was warm and inviting, the massage table comfortable and enough blankets to keep me warm. She used put a hot towel around my neck and supported my head when I laid on my back. She used hot stones to get a little deeper in some spots. My shoulder are always up around my neck and she worked my neck/shoulders until I thought I would pass out from pleasure. She was very pleasant, professional, and aware of what muscles were bothering me. As an old grumpy ex-army combat medic that likes to gripe and complain about stuff......I can't in this case. She was perfect. Can't thank you enough Nola!!! You worked out some kinks that I've been living with for years now. I will definitely be going back and recommending her to anyone in need of a relaxing massage. And for those wondering about the place itself, it was very clean, and very comforting. Wow! I loved this place. It was so nice that it is close to my house. The staff was friendly and the environment was relaxing. I like that the massage room was dark with lots of candle light. Also the massage bed was so amazingly comfortable. They also include hot towels and hot stones into the massage at no change. Mandy was awesome! I knew I made the right choice as soon as I walked in the door - a nice, quiet reception area set the tone for the rest of the visit. Nola greeted me and took the time to explain everything since it was my first visit. She made sure to understand all of my trouble spots and just checked in with me a couple of times during the massage to make sure I was comfortable. The massage was perfect and included all of the extras (hot stones, hot towels, aromatherapy, etc) all on a comfortable heated table. Shauna was great. Very personable. Great communicator. This was my first visit. Actually scheduled after reading the Yelp reviews. They are very accommodating, clean and comfortable environment. Great massage. Appreciated the warm stone and warm towel treatment. Since there for chronic headaches she was able to tell the problem spots and gave extra special attention to those areas. I like her touch good amount of pressure. Educated me on what to do in between appointments that will help with muscle tension. As I'm not new to massage therapy I can compare and sometimes the appointment isn't as helpful as I had hoped for, after this visit with Shauna I noticed a difference right away. Had a wonderful massage from Robin, who was nice and firm (because I asked her to be) and let me relax quietly for the first half of the massage, which was on a heated table (wonderful!). I had an AMAZING spa day here at Still Point!! Got a gift card from a friend and will forever be in debt to her! It started off with the most relaxing, yet therapeutic, massage! Then I was given an all over body exfoliation, then rubbed down with a thick yummy smelling body polish, then wrapped up tight for twenty minutes. At this point I'm already in heaven; but then, she began giving me a neck, shoulder, and face massage during the duration of the wrap!! I was in AWE!! My skin felt unbelievably smooth for the days following! Not only were my services phenomenal, but the atmosphere was so peaceful and the staff was such a pleasure!
