She has been taking gymnastics and dance classes for the last several months, and loves them! I've had the opportunity to watch her, during both the dance and gymnastics classes, and I'm glad I did! Our daughter loves Coach Natalie and Coach Courtney for gymnastics! Often times when she is at home, she will instruct me to do certain gymnastics moves, and pretend that she is either Coach Courtney or Coach Brittney lol. The instructors are incredibly patient with the kiddos, and it's really fun to see all of the activities that they have in store for the kids. The kids definitely have time to try out the moves on their own, and the instructors are able to correct their movements. I love that they push the kids just enough to challenge them, but not to go overboard. When I did watch her dance class, I know the instructor did not really want parents to be there, which is understandable, since parents can be very distracting to the kids. That said, my daughter did not really pay attention to me lol. There were lots of props that they got to use, which made it interesting and fun, and I'm sure the time passed by really quickly because of it. The dance class did not seem too strict/rigid, but they did introduce lots of different movements. I know that my three year old loved changing into her tap shoes and ballet shoes, even though I'm sure they're not totally needed lol. Compared to other places in the area, CSC has reasonable prices. I don't love the fact that they do not offer make up classes, but I suppose that because it's a little less expensive than other places. Other places have a glass partition so that parents can watch, but this place doesn't. It's not as up to date as other places, but what's most important to me is the teaching quality. I will say, though, for the number of times that my daughter does get sick, the classes end up being a little bit more expensive than I would like. I also love that they have the opportunity for the kids to participate in the dance recital. It gives them a chance to express confidence and the skills that they've learned so far.

The girl coaches are even more exhausting: talking softly (with more makeup on than Madonna) and barely having kids do much. Many coaches don't know what they are doing. We've tried this place 2xs as various ages for our little one. (1) 18-20months class...um we were in a class with babies who could barely stand. The coach was a sweetheart because she was really focusing on the babies (having them become stable) but why the **** have us in this class when you see our kid is just walking around. (2) 4 years old: Ninja class: the rings are so low the kids just walk right past them, there is no real force to do anything, some kids are rolling on the ground, spacing out and hitting others in class. Moms spend so much time trying to talk to their own kids to flow (the coach) from the door- it's annoying. When my kid's coach came to me one day and told me another kid hit my kid as he was waiting his turn....I was over this place, my kid knows more than 90% of the things (as we've come from another gymnastics place) and wanted to try this because it was closer to home on weekends. But 2nd strike I'm done! Side Note: I saw another coach (he had a boot on one leg with crushes) teaching the 5-7year old and he was able to keep his kiddos in line and doing everything. But he must be THE ONLY ONE. Skip this mediocre place. We're back to our fav place in Santa Clara with our fav coach of 10 years now.

The booking can be easily done online. Intake was very detailed and questions were answered carefully. They accommodated special start time and additional 15 minutes of gym time for only $50. I have older kids in my group which I think the open floor time is worth it. Kids get to choose what they want to do in addition to instructional coach time. Our groups are divided into two groups with different activities concurrently instead of being rushed from station to station. You do have to manage party lobby time and they made expectations clear. We did simple art projects while cutting cake, which is refrigerated by the gym.

The instructor gives an overall list of many activities and expects the parent to remember all of them and then guide their child individually through the tasks. It doesn't work well at all. You really feel like you're on your own with a whole floor of equipment in front of you that you don't know what to do with. I wouldn't call that guidance from an instructor. This pertains to the five and under. I don't know what it's like for older children. This occurred at race Street. I don't know the name of the instructor. I would assume all instructors are functioning within what they're taught to teach the children. I would assume that the instructors are all uniform in there way of teaching classes. If this is not the case then maybe it should be. I think that this gymnasium can do a lot better. When I took my children there 25 years ago it was a lot better The coaches actually gave guidance to the parents step by step along the way so that it worked well.

I enrolled both our kids (ages 5 and 2) in gymnastics class and attended Saturday classes for about…read morea month and a half. The kids overall enjoyed it and both could participate at the same time. The owner later suggested moving our 5-year-old to a more advanced Tuesday class and assured us our 2yr old could attend at the same time. After switching within a few classes the instructors told us our 2yr old was "too young and not ready" (even though the class is listed for ages 1-3). He's a typical energetic toddler and me or my husband were present in every class to help keep him focused. When I brought this up to the owner instead of addressing the issue, he said both of our kids "don't follow instructions" including our 5yr old who is attentive and loves gymnastics. This was inaccurate, offensive and disappointing, especially since he admitted he hadn't seen them himself that class (while I did). The Tuesday classes were also very overcrowded compared to Saturdays. If safety or engagement is a concern, the gym should adapt its setup, not blame children for being age-appropriate. What made it worse is that the owner never followed up after that conversation - not to clarify or apologize. We canceled our enrollment that same day. It's disheartening to see a business handle families this way, making excuses instead of taking responsibility. We'll be taking our kids somewhere that values honesty, respect and a true understanding of child development.

We've been going to The Little Gym for several months now, and I can't say enough wonderful things…read moreabout the experience--especially having Miss Amy as the teacher! My daughter's growth has been incredible. From improved motor skills, balance and social skills, I have absolutely seen the benefits of being in a fun, structured gymnastics environment. I love seeing how confident all the toddlers are becoming. Week after week, you can truly see each child stepping a little further out of their shell climbing a little higher, trying a new skill, or simply saying hello to a new friend. It's all thanks to the encouraging and nurturing atmosphere Miss Amy creates. She has a true gift for connecting with every child, meeting them right where they are with patience, kindness, and enthusiasm. She understands their personalities, celebrates their wins, and gently helps them through challenges. Miss Amy is truly a gem and such a special part of my daughter's journey. I'm so grateful to be part of this community. The Little Gym has made a lasting impact, and I can't recommend it enough!
