Unfortunately, the facial I received for $160 was extremely disappointing. The treatment was far too rough--especially concerning given the sensitive, thin skin in your face. Six hours later, my face is still bright red, and I'm at home trying to calm what feels like a second-degree sunburn. It was neither relaxing nor hydrating, and instead of feeling refreshed, my skin feels irritated and overworked. For the price, this experience fell far short. This has been the worst experience I've had with Faire. I've been a wholesale customer since 2023 and have never had a claim, issue, or problem with any delivery. Being accused of a fraudulent delivery was extremely upsetting and disappointing. The lack of professionalism and poor customer service only made the situation worse. This place is a MUST!! It was such an amazing experience filled with relaxation and hair education. The hair studio is very clean and cute. They start by showing you your scalp and educating you on your hair. Then you get the BEST hair wash of your life! During the hair wash you're in a massage chair so that feels amazing as well. Not entirely sure how I ended up with dryer scalp but unfortunately I won't be back. Instructions in confirmation said come 15 min early and included documents to pre fill. I arrived 10 min early, was sat in a chair and no one said anything to me until someone came at my appt time. Upon going to the back the "relaxation" music was bizarrely loud. I was sat in the chair that was very small, tight and uncomfortable and I'm a small person. I mentioned it to my person and it was laughed off...nothing she can do about that obviously. The chair was a strong massage chair and lying on one's back it was not pleasant. I asked the person to turn it off. She pushed some buttons and said she did but it was never turned off. At the final scalp analysis it looked the same to me if not worse. When I got to my car and looked in my mirror it looked worse because it was. Nothing about this was relaxing. read more

I just had the most amazing experience I never knew I needed, with the most amazing head/scalp therapist. I treated myself to a 2 hour experience at Atana with AJ. From the time I sat in AJ's chair, was led back to my session room, and back to AJ's chair, I felt "Protected." So much of our identity can be tied to our hair and scalp- the color of, styling of, condition of. I celebrate and acknowledge the courage it took to allow myself 2 hours to relax and really give attention to this part of me. And AJ was the perfect person to have this experience with. Completing my intake forms and aromatherapy preferences ahead of time allowed me to arrive at the spa and just relax. Since Atana's website does a great job of explaining what to expect, I decided to forfeit all the questions I would normally ask and just enjoy the experience. After Two hours with AJ, I left the Spa with a clean, scrubbed, masked, hydrated, massaged scalp, and a renewed invigorated spirit. My beautiful cloud of 4C hair feels nurtured and cared for. I visited Atana Head Spa on Monday April 6th. First I want to point out that the employee that was assigned to my service was extremely nice and easy to talk too. If it was for her I would be giving less stars. I wish there would have been a way to opt out of the massage table all together. It was extremely uncomfortable and when I asked for it to turn off I could still feel all the rollers. Not something you're expecting when you pay over 200 and something dollars and you are laying there for over an hour. It's almost like they use the massage bed to do most of the work even when I came in there for a head and scalp massage. I have a massage membership, that table is doing nothing good to anyone's back. With that being said, I did purchase a group on for this service so it is unclear if the table was doing most of the work because I paid a discounted price or what but I would not recommend this place to someone. It is extremely overpriced for what you are getting. Very happy that I got the Groupon and didn't pay full price but to be honest I didn't think it was even worth the Groupon price. I suggest going to someone who does it out of a suite on their own. I have had a much better experience that way. Anyways maybe have a couple rooms with NO massage bed. read more

My husband and I have been wanting to try a head spa place for a while. I stumbled upon a groupon and decided to get my husband and I the 90 min treatment. This was our first time so we weren't too sure what to expect. You're first seated and introduced to the person who will be taking care of you. They let you see what your hair looks like before and do an assessment to see what the best treatment would be for your hair. When you head to the back you're placed on this massage chair where it lays you flat with the massage pressure on your calves. The chair was strong and at some points it felt like it was lifting you up which was interesting. During the session I was told we would get an arm and hand massage I was so excited but my person literally put lotion on my arms and hands and that was it... I thought maybe this is a just a head spa place after all but when I asked my husband about it he said you had a hand massage the entire time his head was getting steamed which was at least 5-10 mins+ and i'm someone who loves massages so to get none was very disappointing. Also, my scalp might be more sensitive to temperature but when I first got my Shirodhara it was burning hot it felt like hot wax was put into my scalp. The person giving me the treatment had to get ice to cool it down. At end of the treatment they ended it with cold water but I felt like I could feel every pore on my head opening wide open which I think is the point it was one of those hurst so good feelings . My husband also mentioned that I got less treatment at the end than he did since I finished later than him. It could be because it was late so I was more rushed. He mentioned he got some shock thing where they shock your head and I did not receive that. I was also told that I could switch my hair dry for a 15 min massage and I compared my experience with my husband and it sounds like we got the same thing but he got a hair dry where as I did not. I don't even think I got any extra 15 min massage as promised. Other than not getting the complete experience at the end and less massage as I should have gotten the treatment and products were great I just wish I got the entire experience of the massage. Also, the music like the other reviews have mentioned is very loud maybe because they want us to hear the music while having water around us but it could be turned down a little. Such a luxurious treat. Booked the signature appointment several weeks ago with the hand mixed mask add on. The space is beautiful- clean and updated. We started by looking at my scalp, then loosened up any build up and did a pre-treatment oil before heading to the back. Each client is in their own space- you put a towel/robe on and then lay down on a bed that vibrates and heats. Jade washed my hair a couple of times, did a steam with lavender, and brushed and massaged my scape. We went back to the chair for a rough dry and my scalp looked so much better and felt great. After the treatment, my scalp became very itchy and red, and I developed thick dandruff plaques that lasted for several days. My scalp was worse! This was not the relaxing spa treatment that I thought it would be. Maybe I got my hopes up because of the videos advertised on Facebook. Or maybe I thought it would be a comparable experience to a head spa that I enjoyed in Scottsdale. But my expectations were not met. First, the spa is loud. Even with only a handful of staff, I could hear lots of chatter plus the sound of traffic plus the loud music that was piped into every "room". More of a partitioned area with a curtain in place of a door. Secondly it felt like the provider did not want to be there. She worked very fast and rough, never asking me if I was comfortable or how I was feeling. I felt more like a dog at the groomer than a woman at a spa. The provider would blast piping hot water at full volume each time she rinsed my shampoo and conditioner. She scrubbed my hair and scalp with instruments and her finger tips but always very vigorous and rough. She really did not seem to care about damaging my hair. I paid for an additional mini lymphatic massage facial which consisted of a face wash, a very active face mask and a face oil which she pressed into approximately 8 pressure points on my forehead and under my eyes. It didn't include any massage on the cheekbones, chin, jawline, nose or neck. This was not worth the extra $30 I paid. After she rinsed out my hair and took me back to the salon room, she started to beat my hair up again with another cheap plastic comb. I could tell that my hair was very dried out and tangled after the treatment, almost like it wasn't conditioned at all. I asked her to stop combing my hair because I could tell that it was breaking. At the end of it I was given a 20% discount and went home with wet, destroyed hair. Even after I put some bonder on it, it feels really crispy and damaged. I regret trusting this place with my hair. Scalp treatments and head spas are supposed to be relaxing, quiet, enjoyable and luxorious. I don't know if this place is a chain or a small business owner trying to cash in on the trend. But they need to consider what it is they are advertising versus what they are actually offering. read more

It was a complete let down. I wish I had known this week was the soft opening when I signed up... it was clear this was a new concept and the kinks hadn't been ironed out. I went for relaxation and was extremely disappointed in the quality of the experience. The therapists felt like hair stylists trying to offer a massage and facial. The provider was very timid and had clearly never given a massage before. In addition, the website shows renderings, not the actual studio. I felt misled about the premiumness of the facility. When you go into your treatment room and change in to a robe, there's no where to put your clothes so I had to put them on the floor. The massage table was hard and there linens were lacking. There was no fitted sheet on the massage table, no neck pillow, little to no padding at all. I love the concept but the execution was poor and I would not return or recommend to anyone. read more

The "hair therapist" I had was named Tracy, and she was the sweetest person ever. The experience itself was awesome and super relaxing. I could definitely see myself falling asleep like my sister did, but I had a nice conversation with Tracy. The vibe was VERY peaceful, serene music played the entire time and the water sounded like a soft waterfall. It was amazing. It pains me to write this review but I need to due to the high reviews on here that honestly I can't relate to. I have had previous head spa services, including in Japan, and locally (Heads Up Spa was my last local service before trying Atana). This is truly the worst one I've experienced. Atana opened mid last year and I've been wanting to try them. My husband for Christmas purchased a gift card for the "Glory" service + tip ($240 + $60 tip). To start, they called me to request I come in an hour later. Annoying, but fine, and they threw in a free add-on service for the time change which was nice. I arrived at 11am (original appointment at 10am), did the scalp analysis (showed oily, clogged follicles and dry patches on skin), and then treatment started around 11:45am. I was out of the head spa service at 1pm. I had the "Glory", which is the highest tiered one, and it's supposed to be an 105-minute service. Definitely wasn't. The service itself was the most disappointing part. They have nice massage chairs but they lack lower back support since you lay completely flat, so mid-service back pain starts. There should be some sort of leg elevation with pillows or something. Your elbows are forced to rest on the plastic pieces of the chair, so they get sore mid-service as well. I felt that the hands-on time for the scalp service was the most lacking. Massage was way too gentle. The sink you lay your head in has two supporting beams (not sure what else to call it) that keep your head elevated for the service. They end up maybe 1/3 up the back of your head. This part becomes sore after a while too since my stylist didn't turn my head for massage on the lower half of my scalp. The lower back of my head was essentially untouched for the entire service. There didn't seem to be any deep conditioning and definitely no steaming (common in head spas). My hair was knotted so bad after the service and it took her quite some time to detangle. For the big reveal, my follicles were still clogged lol. At previous head spas, my follicles no longer had sebum in them. The focus needs to be on the scalp. Not the facial, not the collagen hand mask. These were mediocre and just a waste of time. I left the place with the facial stuff that was orange still on my face. This place has gone viral on TikTok because it's aesthetically pleasing, but the services and cost aren't. It's like they are wanting to do so much but it's implemented poorly. Less is more. Overall, I'm frustrated and disappointed that my husband wasted his money on this as a gift for me. The thought was sweet. Also: At the end of the service, they email you and request you leave any positive reviews if you're happy with the service, but to EMAIL them if you aren't. May be skewing their ratings a bit with that... On the off chance my girl was new or training or whatever, I won't disclose who performed my service. read more

Buyer Beware. Experience inconsistent and not worth the price. In September I visited ATANA for the first time with a friend for a signature treatment. All the staff we worked with were friendly and warm, the space was lovely, and the treatment we did receive was enjoyable. We left quite underwhelmed and a bit disappointed because the entirety of the service didn't match our expectations. We carefully selected the signature treatment sans blow dry due to the website description and a TikTok documenting the service. Neither of us received a neck and shoulder massage. I did not receive the hand and arm massage, but did receive a brief 3min shoulder and collarbone rub. Finally and most disappointedly we did not receive a scalp massage. We both opted for no blow dry which states "spend 15 extra minutes on my scalp massage please" on the booking form. At check out we were both surprised to see we were charged 8.1% tax, and feel this might have been in error as we have never been charged a tax on spa services. Given the high price of the service, the additional tax, and comparing our experience with the website/tiktok we couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed. I shared this with the ATANA team privately by email the same day, and was pleasantly surprised when they offered a return visit for both my friend and I to hammer out the inconsistencies. I promptly responded with our availability and, to date, have never heard back. At this time, I would be hesitant to come back, or recommend ATANA to friends without being sure that the experience is consistent with the price and description. read more

I booked with Miracle, she was great!!! Not only did she have me so comfortable but, the way she delicately moved my head around as she moved through the service was like a beautifully orchestrated dance. I felt well taken care of as she checked in to ensure the pressure was ok or the water temperature was still exactly where I wanted it. I went into this service not researching too much and I'm glad I didn't as I LOVE a surprise. Even the eye mask was a special treat.
