Found this company and needed regular maintenance on a furnace we had not been doing to it since we moved in.. they found no problems and they even checked our AC even though it was sprinkling that day. My ignition module for my heater went out. I reached out to Atara mechanical because their $25 diagnostic fee was fair. They had a technician out the same day which was great. The receptionist and technician were very professional. My issue is with the quote I received. They quoted me 2 hours of labor which is fine. The part however was overpriced. I asked the technician to send me a photo of the part that needed replacing. I received it after calling the receptionist. The part was a White Rodgers Ignition module. The price I was quoted for parts only not labor was $369.55. It was listed as "ignition control module". There was no part name listed or brand. I did some research and found a White Rodgers replacement part ranging from $115 - $220 from Ebay to Grainger. I am curious where the extra $150 mark up comes from? I had hoped a technician would reach out to discuss the quote to me. It could be possible that the part was an upgrade but I have no way of knowing because the quote is vague and there was no follow up from Atara. read more

Unbelievable service. Brianna was so nice on the phone. And had her brother Erik Rivera within just a few hours come over on the same day. It's been years since my house has had working AC. We've had two different people come in and tell us that we needed a whole new unit, and quoted us up to $9k for it. Okay, here we go. So I needed my air conditioning units service (3 units ). I called Atara heating & Air conditioning. The young lady who answered, her name is Brittany, was outstanding. The best customer service I dealt wirh in a while; and no, I am not exaggerating. Based on just talking with Brittany, I knew I wanted to try this company. So my window time was between 7:00 AM to 11:00AM. At 7:30 a.m., my doorbell rang. And there a saw clean cut, well groomed young man. His name was Erik and very polite. Eric knew why he was there, and began to work right away. Eric saw problems that needed attention. Never pushed the issue about getting these problems fixed. Eric was just giving us a heads-up. I told Eric, hey your here. This needs to be done, so go right ahead. Whatever Eric needed, he had the supplies in his van. Eric did a thorough job and even changed out the filters in the house. I could go on, but hey, you'll have to experience it for yourself. After the job was completed, Eric explained everything that was done to the AC units after speaking with me about the problems. Our AC unit was not blowing cold air and the fan speed was very low. Of course it happened during summer on one of the hottest days! Called several places. Omar from Atara Mechanical was the only one to respond quickly and able to meet the next day. Plus the $45 service charge was a great value! Received a text prior to his arrival which allowed me to track Omar before arriving. Upon arrival, Omar quickly identified the problem while educating me on the AC unit. Omar's passion for his work was evident upon the way he spoke and presented himself. AC unit was frozen so we had to wait for it to thaw out. He was very apologetic but obviously there was nothing that could be done until the system thawed. He suggested I clean the outside unit and showed me how to do it. I am someone who enjoys learning how to do things so I was thankful that Omar was willing to share his expertise with me. Omar left and I cleaned the outside unit. Omar arrived 2 days later, took apart the furnace, and properly cleaned the coil. This fixed the problem! I cannot stress enough how helpful, knowledgeable, and professional Omar was. i arranged to have this company replace my condenser motor on my A/C, as the bearings were going out. They quoted a reasonable price ($445) and said they could get out the next morning . the Tech (Omar) during His service found the capacitor to be "bad" and said that would be an additional $300 for a twenty dollar part and 5 minutes of service time. my wife called me at this point and I got on the phone and asked him about the cost and he claimed he gets far better parts that why it's so much more . I asked for him to leave the part and he left a different capacitor than the one on my condenser originally. Omar saved our lives! In June I called around because I noticed my AC was blowing warm air. All of the coolant had leaked out of the system. We thought we would last the summer by recharging the system and sealing the leak with sealant. About a month later the air was going from warm to cold, then it was just warm. I called my dad's coworker who was going to complete it as a side job and I thought the price was a little high. I contacted Costco and once I got a call back asked about the price and said thank you but no. I got a quote from a large company and didn't even bother setting up an appointment.
