A very unique place. The food and service were good. However, they are a bit stubborn and illogical about their seating rules. 5 of the 6 of us were there and they would not seat us until the 6th got there. I would understand if it was busy and only 2 or 3 of us were there. Most of their tables in the restaurant seat 6. Had we just said 5, they would have sat us and the 6th could have just joined when they got there. So much for common sense. read more

I had the shrimp and salmon special a few days ago. It came with jalapeño grits and was one of the best meals I ever had.

When your customers cannot even hear themselves over the music and you ask nicely if they can turn down the music a little bit, but they proceed to turn it up, that is extremely disrespectful and not a good way to treat paying patrons. Met friends at Ate Track for dinner tonight at 5:30. We were a party of 6 adults, but 1 was stuck in traffic. We were asked if all our party was there and we said missing 1. They replied they would seat us once everyone was there. We could wait in the bar area. Now, mind you, 5 adults were there, one side of restaurant was closed off and there were only 2 seats available at the bar. The tables on the whole side of the bar were EMPTY. Not a person around except those 5 or 6 at the bar. We were not allowed to sit but were welcome to stand and drink. Again, the restaurant was empty of diners and NOT ONE PERSON WAITING FOR A TABLE. Also, the 5-6 staff were just hanging around at the front door. Someone could have made $ if we were allowed to sit and have drinks and appetizers while we waited for the "1" person to complete our party. Seriously....I could understand this "rule" if the restaurant were full and people waiting to get in but there was NOT a soul eating......empty....So not only did the bar tender miss out on tips, but the lucky waitress that would have served us (party of 6) would have made good $$$.....I felt sorry for those girls who could not seat us until everyone was there.....they all missed out...what a waste of their time and ours with a bone head "rule"....we left.....and were immediately welcomed at another restaurant where they were happy to help and we were happy to help those hard working staff with nice tips for their efforts. I had to pick a "star" before I was able to post, otherwise it would have been a big fat zero for the bone head running this place. The wait staff is so used to it they were immediately apologizing. God bless those waiters and cooks! This is a bar disguised as a restaurant. We brought our kids here for dinner but the music was so loud you couldn't here the people across the table from each other. I ordered the chicken tacos and the chicken was so dry and burnt. My daughter had a burger that was way over cooked. My husband had a steak & cheese sandwich and the price ended up being $19 for mediocre at best. The menu doesn't list prices...over half of it say MKT in place of a price. He could have ordered a steak dinner elsewhere for $19. His beer was also flat. The waitress was nice but seemed unable to remember to bring a glass of water we requested. We visited this bar/restaurant after finding it on Yelp. It was very busy when we got there but the wait wasn't too long. Great atmosphere, plenty to look at with all the funky decor. Can't recommend. Went with some friends for the first time and was ready for a good experience when I walked in. Sometimes a lot of kitsch is a good sign. Got seated right away. This was a first for me. I've seen certain foods on menus going for "Market Price", but never burgers. Ordered the chipotle chili cheeseburger. Although it was cooked the way I requested, the rest fell flat. Lacked basic seasoning and if there was chili on there, I didn't see or taste any. While the sweet potato fries were good, they weren't good enough to save the day. Very slow service despite not being busy at all. The server was okay...when I saw her. Overpriced for an experience they're trying to deliver but are missing the target. Overall a "meh" experience. Go elsewhere. read more

This place is a local favorite and has excellent variety for an American theme bar. The ate track nachos are super tasty but beware of overindulging, as they can be quite heavy on the stomach and intestines ;) The burgers are excellent, and I highly recommend just the straight up Ate track burger. Their fish and chips is one of my favorites as well. They have some cool signature cocktails on the menu but also have a full bar for whatever you might like. Nice outdoor seating (although limited on a busy day) that has water misting fans for those hot Georgia summer days. My wife and I would probably come here more often if it weren't for the music being too loud inside. Sometimes it's ok but we've gone too many times now where it's so loud you have a hard time hearing the person right next to you. Because of this we usually just skip it as a choice for dinner. If it's a nice day we'll consider going and eating outside however. It's a shame that whoever runs this place doesn't understand that people want to be able to have a conversation while they eat. The decor is super cool, truly makes you feel like you're in a 1970's basement or den with records and memorabilia everywhere. Also the massive collection of vintage stereos is pretty impressive. Overall if you're ok with loud environments then this place offers some tasty food. Dined here twice with my family. It's a pretty small place so it's always fairly busy and almost always a wait. They have really good nachos with chili for appetizer. I had a beet and goat cheese salad and added salmon on top and it was delicious. The second time I went I enjoyed their grilled chicken sandwich which was also good, could have been cooked a bit longer though. The sweet potato fries are delicious and actually have a nice sweet flavor. Some places have bland sweet potato fries but they don't. This is a really fun place. So much fun memorabilia to look at in this quirky little restaurant and the food is delish. I had the fried shrimp and homemade parmesan chips and my hubby had the tequila chicken and both were great. The first thing that stood out for me was that the food was seasoned well. So often restaurants lately go light on seasoning and many times you have to add salt because the food is bland but not at Ate Track. This chef knows how to season food! This was my first time at Ate Track and as soon as I got my first Cocktail and taco I quickly understood having to stand in line to get in. Yummm! We decided to go all out by ordering three different tacos and the grit cake for the table. We also had a Purple Rain, Come Sail Away, Ruby Mule, and a Strawberry Mint Special suggested by Sophia ( Best Waitress Ever)! Every taco was cooked to perfection and we enjoyed every bite! Everything about this visit (last Saturday, 6/22) was unfortunate. Our waitress seemed grumpy, and like she couldn't care any less about the issues we experienced. I'd like to point out anything that went right during this visit, but unfortunately, there was nothing. Any and every beer we asked for off of the sad beer list provided to us -- they were out of. Everything. My father got the pathetic half-glass bottom-of-the-barrel remainder of the beer he chose, but everything else we asked for? "Oh, we're out of it." I remember dining here a few months ago, and they provided us with a fabulous cocktail menu, and the drink was great. This time? Literally no one in the whole damn place could locate any type of drink menu. When we asked, they simply told us, "we can't find any. We have like, jager and stuff, so we can make you whatever." Nah, I'll stick with the sad beer menu, I guess. I got the fried shrimp platter, but asked for it blackened. The waitress was happy to make that change for me. Woo! Something actually going right. When the meal came, it looked ANYTHING besides appealing. The shrimp was horrendously over-cooked - I could have thrown it at the wall and watched it bounce. It was truly gross. Sweet potato fries were good, though. To top it all off, let's talk about the atmosphere. I really do like the vibe and decor. HOWEVER, every single tv around us was playing some UFC fight. Sweaty, bloody men rolling around on tv while my family was attempting to enjoy the sad meal before us. Really? We can't think of anything more pleasant to put on tv while people are eating? We have eaten at Ate Track several times and the service and food have never disappointed us. Just be careful as the portions for the appetizers are big and by the time the mains come around you could be stuffed. You cannot go wrong with a restaurant that serves PBR and for those of a certain generation, the interior decorations will bring back some great memories.
