I enjoyed my stay here due to the proximity of the freeway and the area I was working in. Parking was free and easy and breakfast was included. Of the breakfast included hotels I've stayed at I'd rate their breakfast a 4 out of 5 and service 5 out of 5. They had a good spread with oatmeal, yogurt, toppings for both, waffle maker, eggs and I believe they switched it up with the breakfast entrees each day. One day there were croissant sandwiches and the next bacon and sausage. There was an attendant that was there every morning and she was so nice and greeted everyone and was constantly checking and refilling items all morning. The room itself was great. I stayed in 203 which faced the front of the hotel and away from the freeway. I had no noise complaints, but I noticed that if people were talking loudly in the parking lot at night I could hear all of it and most times people were in the front of the hotel having short conversations but enough to where it was a little bothersome if I was trying to fall asleep. Another issue I encountered was the curtain didn't close all the way as far as blocking out light. At night, the lights from the parking lot would shoot through my window and the sheer curtain. I had an eye mask so that helped, but if you don't have one, get one. The shower was clean and the water pressure and temperature were perfect. The in room fridge has a slight odor but it didn't bother me much. I utilized the couch for relaxing and reading and organizing. I utilized the desk for working on my laptop and was able to log into my YouTube account via the TV and that helped me feel more relaxed and like I was at home. The bed was great, but I wish I could bring my pillow set-up from home. There was one stiffer/sturdier pillow and the rest were light and fluffy. I had no issues with sleep on the bed or with the pillows. Overall I had a great stay here and would stay again or recommend staying here. I'd probably try one of the rooms facing the freeway next time. There was an outdoor pool and a gym that I did not utilize and I want to say I read there was a laundry facility on site, but I did not physically go and see it.

It is conveniently located by the Zinfandel Drive exit and is within driving distance to stores like Costco, Safeway and other restaurants nearby. I arrived a few minutes prior to check in time and I only had to wait approximately 20 minutes until a room was available. A female receptionist named R (my apologies, I forgot her first name) at the front desk was very prompt, professional and accommodating. Little did I expect that I'll be assigned a lovely room facing east and was impressed by the view and morning sun the next day. The room with a king bed was immaculate and comfortable. It came complete with an ironing board and iron (to firmly press my attire for the wedding). The bathroom was complete with hypoallergenic body wash, shampoo, conditioner and had a generous amount of towels. I also like the large and updated flat screen TV with adequate channels and access to certain streaming sites such as YouTube and Netflix. I wish Marriott could add KMAX 31 (CBS 13's sister station) on the channel lineup. Other than that, my bed was comfortable that I was able to sleep adequately. The breakfast section was spectacular! Thank you for offering almond milk as an alternative to regular milk (located next to the cereal dispensers). I utilized the waffle maker and sprinkled some toasted coconut flakes on top of the finished product. The cage free scrambled eggs were fluffy, the potatoes were crisp and the turkey sausages were delectable. Thank you Fairfield Inn & Suites for an unforgettable yet professional experience. When I visit the Sacramento area again, I would love to stay here again!

So I have been to this particular one twice when I come into town to see the Airshow. It is set up like most and follows the typical layouts you will find in a clockwise direction. It is on the larger sized outlets. While the hunt for unique local items was unsuccessful, as expected, the staff is the typical friendly and on point. It also is well designed as the gas station is far enough away to de-conflict the main parking lot Aside from that as always we have rules we follow The RULES! 1) NEVER EVER go in hungry. That 25 gallons of dill pickle chips is much easier to resist on a full stomach.... true story there. 2) Avoid the free samples. People seem to lose their minds with this stuff. They abandon carts with crying babies, block isles, etc all to get that tiny portion of hummus. I have been shoved aside by someone desperate to get a free piece of cheese. Honestly I have seen more dignity from actual starving people in a disaster zone but I digress. 3) Avoid the weekends like the plague. 4) See #1 5) Go often. Costco uses alot of psychology and the fear of missing out is one of them. Odd items you must have pop up then go never to return. I CAN'T MISS OUT AGGGGGGG 6) Know your codes: At costco any price ending in 0.97 means it has been marked down. Any price that is not a 0.99 or .97 such as say 0.49 means it has a manufacturers discount. and price with an * aka "The Death Star" on it means its done and will not be reordered so stock up. If it ends in a .00 or a 0.88 a manager has reduced the price at that location to clear it out. 7) When in an unfamiliar city head to the Costco. They always stock local items you can't find at yours (like two pounds of single origin Kona coffee for 30.00 at the Kilaua / Kona store etc.) and have cheap gas. (Same on Kauai)
