I can't say much about the other services because I came in to have gel removed from my finger nails. Initially a man helped me (I've never ever seen a guy doing nails before btw). He was very nice; he sanded off the top layer and wrapped my nails with cotton and foil with nail polish remover. Then a lady helped took off the final layer (she told me the store has been open for 20 years). The reason I gave it 3 stars is because I noticed there are still small pieces of gel left after the lady told me I'm done. I had to go back into the store to ask her to clean it up, which she responded that she cannot see anything left on my nails, and then proceeded to left me use the tool to clean up myself. For $10 plus tips, I cannot say I'm happy with the end result. Tip: $2 fee for using debit and credit card. read more

As a first timer, I wanted to do something small to try out the service. I got a pedicure for $40.00 with regular nail polish. I paid an additional $7.00 for filing my feet since they said the pedicure doesn't include it. If you want gel polish, it's an additional $15.00. Lastly, an additional $2.00 if you pay with card. They only take Visa or MasterCard. I'm sharing the prices because when I called they told me the pedicure was $30. They finished in about 30 minutes. Made an appointment for mani pedi and they did a horrible job. Lady spent only 10 mins on my pedicure and you can see the uneven filing she did underneath the clear polish. Manicure was alright but not sure why it would be $85 for both if it's a basic mani and pedi not gel. I just paid and left. Won't be going back. After reading the yelp reviews, it feels like Diane is the most talented so maybe i should've asked for her. Definitely not worth a $85 job. My husband gifted me a Mani and Pedi for mother's day and I was excited for some me time and pampering after just having had a baby. Experience was ok overall. Not bad but also not great. I had an appointment but was kept waiting 15 minutes regardless. Ok, things happen. What prompts me to write a review is the fact that my manicure is chipping after barely 24 hours. What a disappointment. Probably because the lady didn't wipe my nails with acetone before applying polish. My gel manicure was not the best. The top Coat is all over the inside of my nail and my nail shape was uneven. I also got a regular pedicure and accidentally touched my nail polish on my toe before it was ready. I asked if they could fix it but all they did was add more polish which made it worse. I had to ask again if they could redo my toe and that was met with some attitude. They overbooked and I was ignored for 30 minutes when all I wanted to do was to get my polish fixed properly, pay, and get out of there. I would not recommend this place. Called to make an appointment yesterday morning and spoke with Stephanie and she had asked to text her instead, so I did. I called after a few hours to confirm if she got my text and she said "I responded to my texts already", until I asked her to check again since she never replied back. She said she got it and will confirm but still haven't heard from her, not even an acknowledgment of my text whatsoever. It's like pulling teeth trying to make an appointment. I first want to say that i've never had such a smooth experience at a nail salon before until I came to Magical Nails. I actually came here randomly as I had to drop off my redbox a few stores down. I had came in to change my nail color and I wanted to get my nails cut a bit as well. Dianna was so gentle with my nails. She actually removes the gel polish the right way by soaking it. I've gone to a ton of other salons before to remove gel polish and it would always hurt, but the way Dianna did mine didn't hurt at all. She trimmed my nails and shaped them. I could tell she really cares about her work and her clients nails because the way she shaped them was amazing. I picked color 111 of the gel colors, I usually have a go-to color, but I wanted to be "adventurous" and try something new haha. I'm so glad I did though! I'm absolutely in love with the color and the shape. I checked in as well and received a free upper lip wax! Oh, something I thought was really cool is that they have the dryer (or UV light, not sure exactly what it is called) installed in the table. So cool! If I could give no stars that's exactly what I would do . So disgusted with the service I got here . Put super hot wax on my face and then immediately put alcohol over my burns !!!! My face now has burn marks under each eyebrow and I'm so sad I have to deal with this extra mess especially after going there wanting to pamper myself . I was in shock and didn't realize how bad it was so I still paid for the service but once I realized how scorched my face was I immediately went back in and asked for my money back . Can't believe they would still take payment when they seen how this unprofessional establishment left my face . I had been going to this nail salon location over 10 years and the service of previous owners had been good. Since the most recent ownership, I have been made to wait for numerous hours to get my nails done. Initially, I thought it was due to ownership change. Unfortunately this is not the case...I learned there are "no walk-ins" which is fine. I began making appts only to see other patrons finish before I had and still waiting 3+ hours. For subsequent appts, I made sure to ask if there was enough time to get what I needed done. I was always reassured "yes". Today I get to my appt (after scheduling arrangements for my 3 year old); only to learn there wasn't enough time to get nails done...."could I come back?" UNACCEPTABLE!!! Took my daughter to this salon for a pedi. Let me just say! I won't be back EVER! So tired of these rude nail people! She kept stopping her service to help another lady, no conversation and my daughter said she was quite rough. I told her to tell the Tech she needed to be a little more gentle. I always stick to gel on my hands and toes and they turn out amazing. If you do not make an appointment prior, I recommend to call to see how busy they are. I've showed up with no appointment prior and probably had to wait for only about 25 minutes. Since I've been going here I have received more compliments on my nails than anywhere else. Diana (one of the owners) does amazing work, and if you're ever at loss for an idea she has the greatest suggestions! She also does waxing. Eric does great pedicures that range from "regular" to many spa style choices. Both Diana and Calvin stay up on the latest trends. My pictures do not do justice.
