I have been to Kim a few times for a cut with layers and it turned out ok but this time I came in for a straight cut after growing my hair out for the last two years and ended up in tears! I did not have my hair styled after since it was just a trim and tossed it in a bun and went to yoga. I did notice it was way shorter than I wanted but I seen the side that was longer when I looked in the mirror real quick from the side, oh well nothing you can do now maybe I wasn't clear enough. The next day I flat ironed my hair and seen how crooked and uneven it was and realized how short it will have to be to fix it. I am completely devastated . She offered to fix it but I cant take any chances of it getting butchered any shorter so I had to go and pay to get it fixed in San Jose to a trusted hair dresser. No refund was even offered after sending the pictures either. read more

Got my nails done by Jennifer and let me tell you. I will be coming to her from now on. She gave me exactly what I wanted and the shape of nails and didn't damage my natural nail like other salons have done in the past. She is super sweet and thoughtful the entire time. Kimmy's Beauty Salon is a hit or miss for me. After going on numerous occasions for hair cuts, deep conditioning and even balayage, the service is average. While the workers are very friendly and Kimmy herself is kind, the salon does a patchy damaging job when it comes to color services and struggles to match example photos provided. On the other hand, for deep conditioning and hair cut services, Kimmy does a good job with taking her time to condition, blow dry and volumize the hair. She also takes her time washing hair and makes sure to give a mini scalp massage which is always nice. Hair cuts for women are also precise and done well always. All in all, I would recommend Kimmy's beauty salon for women's hair cuts and deep conditioning treatments, but for any other services would suggest looking elsewhere! read more

Kim gave me an estimate for my hair of 80 to 100 and when her daughter started on my hair I decided to ask her again just to make sure. And then her daughter said it was going to be 180 and I informed her of the estimate that They gave me when I initially asked. So she stopped working on me until we agreed on a different process. And right after that she started to be very rough on my hair. They are very sneaky and you need to be careful to make sure that you asked him again And you don't want to end up with a 100-200 dollar increase. It's not about how much you charge but being upfront and Honest so you can keep your customers happy and willing to to come back over and over again read more

The owner does do brows well, but that is the extent of the owner's ability. Have had several manicures and pedicures and do not believe they use proper State Standards for disinfecting their pedicure tubs as I have had two nail infections resulting from pedicures. Haircuts are another dismal situation. She can't do basic cuts and I have seen students do better work. read more

My review is for the nail services from Jennifer and Andy. They both came over from La Jolie. Jennifer has been doing my nails for a few years and she is so extremely kind so tentative ask me questions make sure I am happy with what I am getting . Andy does pedicures for me. They are always top-notch. My favorite part about going is how they treat my daughter. I started bringing her in with me when she was a newborn and they basically watched her grow up now Jennifer even does her nails. Jennifer just goes over the top every single time for my little girl and makes her feel special and wanted and like she belongs there which is just so sweet to me especially since she's a little kid. I'm sure there are plenty of nail technicians out there who may not want a little kid on their customers lap. But Jennifer pulls up her a little chair and she colors and gets her nails done and just has a very good time and it's just a good experience for all of us. I can't recommend services enough!! My wife wanted to get her nails done while we were running some errands in Tracy. We decided to try Kimmy's as the reviews seemed to be good. The owner was the only person in the shop and sat my wife down right away. My wife wanted to add some some diamonds on her nails so the owner put them on the way My wife wanted them. My wife asked her if the diamonds would stay on and the owner assured her that they would. We left the shop and right as soon as we got home my wife noticed that 2 of the diamonds were missing. She hadn't done anything but get in and out of the truck for them to fall off. She went back the next day but the owner asked her to come back at a later time My wife was unable to. To fix the issue the owner put super glue on the remaining diamonds which left an ugly look. After looking carefully, my wife also noticed uneven, wavy coats of polish on some nails. read more

I always have a wonderful experience when I get my monthly fill and pedi's from my amazingly talented nail tech Andy that I followed from his previous salon La jolie and today was no different. Kimmys Beauty salon was really nice, clean and gave a spa like atmospher. Andy is really nice, caring and does amazing nail designs and relaxing pedicures. I would either show him a picture or voice the nail design that I wanted and he would get it right every time. I always have such a great time with Andy and one of the other nail techs Jennifer who also does my brow waxing. I %100 recommend Kimmys Beauty salon for all your beauty needs read more

I was planning to give 5 stars due to good haircut they always gave me, but today s sad incident has made me cut a star and never go there ever again. I arranged an appointment for 7 pm through Phone, but when I reached there,door was locked while she was servicing another customer. I was not allowed inside and was made and stay outside in the cold for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, I decided enough is enough and I left the place. Now have to find a New hair cutting place. DeeeeYaammmm!! I have been waiting for this salon to hit yelp. Well here's the shpeel!!!! I had extremely, long, thinning hair. I wanted to cut my hair to grow it back thick and healthy again. I decided to get a long A-line cut. It was way too short. I mean way too short!!! I even brought a picture in and the owner's daughter who cut my hair said she could do it! NOT!!! My hair looked nothing like the picture and I paid big bucks!! Now you all know why I like to have long hair!!! Can't trust no hair do-ers to do my hair!!!! I don't know what it is about these hair stylists/cutters if you can even call that??? Their vocabulary is totally different from us everyday people. You ask them to trim an inch they take 6 off. You want a long A-line they do a pageboy extra short!!! What the F$#@!!! I am sure a man's hair is a snap but when it comes to women?? I'd beware. Really aware!!! I could totally understand why this place was empty when I got there. I just wanted a simple French tip. I specifically asked for nail polish but the nail technician used something else. I'm not sure if it was gel or shellac, the nail technician at a much better salon had a hard time removing it. Whatever it was, it turned my fingernails yellow and only lasted for a week. The woman who was doing my nails stopped when another customer came in and started giving him a pedicure. She told me her daughter will come and finish my nails. Her daughter came about a hhr later. She had absolutely no customer service. Whatever she put on my fingernails costs me 20 bucks. It was only suppose to be a color change, it shouldn't have costs me more than 15. I wouldn't waste my time here. There are too many great nail salons in Tracy to go here. read more

I've been going on and off here for a while now. It is a bit pricey but they offer a huge variety of services! I recently got my hair cut, dyed and styled. I was happy with the results! It wasn't a dramatic change but it was exactly was I asked for. The customer service is great and their place doesn't have that overwhelming acrylic smell which is a huge plus! I planned to use my Birthday gift card today at Kimmy's. Stopped by around 11:30am, found the sign "Open" but door was locked. There was a note with a number to call. The lady who picked up the phone said that she is at the bank. I was totally fine to go to another Nail Salon but she asked me if I can meet her @ 12:30pm. I agreed based on her confirmation to rush as my kids school pick up is at 1:30pm. Decided to stop by Winco to kill some time, the lady called back at 11:45am asking me to come over as she is back to the shop. Left Winco as fast as I can, went straight to the salon and found her working with a client who previously had an appointment so I was like why did she rush me to come back...The lady was by herself, She was starting a pedicure for her client but noticed that she keeps going back to me to add cream on my feet then go back and work on his feet which was very awkward and made me feel uncomfortable. There was no other workers and no clients. She claimed that all workers are at lunch break. Until 1pm she was able to finish my pedicure only and I had to rush to pick up my kids. She suggested that I hand her the gift card and she will wait for me until I bring my kids. My gift card was for manicure and pedicure service. She was half done. I drove all he way to pick up my kids from school came back around 1:55pm and found the store CLOSED. Called her phone over 7 times, she was not picking up. Tried a different number and she answered with a rude tone by saying "I am driving and can't talk ". I was sooooo frustrated and felt so pissed. I told her that this is the worst service I ever experienced in my life. She was loud, rude, dishonest and unpredictable!!!!! NEVER AGAIN. Not recommended!!!!!!! TOP ten nails took care of me and made my day. read more
