STAY AWAY. They charge for diagnostics which they do not do and then charge for repairs which are not needed.

A few months back I had to get my truck towed there because my radiator decided to give up on me. Mike and the guys were quick to help letting me know exactly what was wrong. They fixed my truck and all was great! A few days ago I noticed my truck wasn't getting to operating temperature, assuming it was an issue with the thermostat (which was replaced during the first repair) I took it back and they they were again quick to help without hesitation. They had me in and out within hours replacing the part which just unfortunately failed in a strange way having nothing to do with their workmanship. I'll always vouch for these guys and encourage you to bring your vehicle in for any maintenance or repairs you might need done. read more

Not sure how Naomi figured the cost of being overcharged by $300, but my experience was totally different. Last week my fuel pump went out on my Dodge Ram 1500. I always take my truck to Dodge for Service. Triple A tow driver talked me into taking truck to a AAA place and I will save money. Had it towed here and Sainga checked me in. Next day he called and quoted me $980.00 (part $450). Told me he had to order the pump and hopefully will be in next day. Later that day I was stuck in traffic and decided to call Dodge to get a quote, without mentioning my truck was in the shop already. They quoted me $635.00 (part $415)!! So quite a huge mark up on labor for ATG. Feeling ripped off, I decided to call ATG and let them know I am going to have my truck towed to the Dodge dealership. Then another guy called me from ATG and told me he would lower the price to $700 to repair it. At that point, there was no trust. Sainga would not release my truck to the tow company until I paid my $95 diagnostic fee. The tow company had to call me to tell me this, not ATG. So I had to call and track down Sainga. He insisted I pay the fee. I thought he would have been embarrassed enough charging me over $300+ more than Rancho Chrysler Dodge Dealership, but he insisted. I finally told him I would be happy to pay his fee just to get my car out of his shop....then he said he didnt want it. I totally trust AAA, but I think they should be very careful who they recommend for service, as it could backfire on them.... John read more

As a young woman I felt taken advantage of by this business. My car was towed to this AAA "approved" shop and needed an alternator repair. The actual cost of the alternator is around $240 but he charged me $394!! I had my brother speak to the owner later, who justified the upselling by stating that he included a 2 year warranty on the part. I was never personally informed of this warranty and given the option I would have never bought the warranty considering the alternator will long outlive 2 yrs. $675 later I got my car back only to have it break down on me the next day. In the end, this business would not refund me any of my money but instead offered a free oil change....consumer beware. read more

I went to ATG Auto Tech very upset due to my vehicle having problems that no other mechanics were able to find. I left my vehicle with them for only 2 hours and got a instant call back regarding my vehicle. They told me what they diagnosed and guaranteed me that was the going to fix the problem. They then got the part ordered and fixed it on that same day and not only was it fast, but it was also the best service I've every gotten and I fully trust their clean work. Sadly, My sister has been taking her car to this mechanic for a couple of years. In November she took it to them for a minor oil leak. They told her she should stop driving her immediately and that they would repair her oil leak for $1100.00 ! Not like her at all, she took her car to another mechanic on Aero Drive and he said NOTHING had to be done and that she should check her oil level once a month or so. I shudder to think what other services they possibly over charged her for. This is a blatant example of taking advantage of an single woman senior citizen. Shame on them. read more

This is the shop recommended by Angelo's towing. I was less than thrilled about leaving my car here after seeing these crappy reviews. I felt like the tow company was just trying to get their cut and I was sure that I would be taken advantage of and I felt totally stuck since my car was inoperable and I wasn't about to pay additional towing fees.They kept my car longer than I would have liked but they were very good about communicating and keeping me updated. The place isn't cheap but I feel confident that they took good care of my car. The guys working here are very friendly even if their hourly labor rate seems high. They did the work that was needed and threw in a few "extras" (repairs that didn't need parts) and my car is running really well now. read more

Got the car there minutes before closing and he said they would get to it first thing the next day (glad they are open Saturday's). A total rip off I was charged way more than the mercedes-Benz dealer on parts and Labor , ATG parts were a lot higher than the dealer, WARNING! please get your quotes from the dealer or other auto repair first before you get your vehicle repaired at ATG and do agree with one of the other reviewers some of AAA drivers are getting a paid to recommend this auto company... So, my car wouldn't start. Barely a click, wouldn't take a charge, nothing. Nada. Mechanics were telling me I needed a new starter, alternator, computer, the works. You know, the classic "she's a dumb girl let's take advantage". I was told to give ATG a try. Within minutes, they told me it was simply a loose solenoid wire. This is the second time I've had my car repaired at ATG. The first time, I needed my thermostat replaced. It only cost me about half of what I was being quoted by other shops, and the work was done well. My check engine light had been going on and off, so I brought it to ATG for a second opinion after getting it initially looked at. Mark checked out the whole thing, and it needed some hefty repairs. I thought I was going to have to buy a new car because of all the issues with my engine, but Mark was awesome about working out a reasonable deal. Was advised by my AAA tow-truck to bring my 2007 Toyota Matrix in when my clutch finally failed (135k miles on it!). Dropped it off on Tuesday around 8am. Received a decent quote (a little on the higher end of what I expected, but within normal range for a clutch). Turns out the clutch was pretty beat up and Mark called me to let me know they'd need to machine of the parts - again, not unexpected and cost a little more. As others have stated, I was advised to go to this shop by a AAA tow truck driver, even though they were not the closest shop open that day. That was my first red flag. The only problem with my car was a bad battery. They charged me $158 for the new battery and $130 for labor. That is INSANE!! This happened on a Saturday during Pride weekend and I had friends in from out of town, so at the time, I just wanted to pay the damn bill and get it over with. But since then, EVERYONE I've talked to about my experience has said, "WOW - you really got screwed!" I've had a battery replaced for about $100 before, but I ended up being charged $271 (after my AAA discount) at this place. Don't go here, especially if you're a woman because they probably think we have no clue about cars. They're right in my case, but still.... There are reputable places out there that don't take advantage. This is not one of them. read more

My experience with ATG was very easy and positive. When AAA came to pick up my car and asked which shop I would like to take it to, he recommended them ensuring me great service and an even better cost. He was right. After fixing my initial problem with my car they also informed me of an oil leak that needed repair and quoted me the price to fix it. As a student who is short on funds I was hesitant but told them to go forth with fixing it (which was not an easy task). Everything is now working great and when I showed up to pick up my car the invoice came out to be less than the quote!! I called AAA to get my car towed to a nearby shop because it was not starting. The tow truck driver recommend me this place. I got there and Mark the manager told me that they charge $120 just to evaluate the car. I thought it was ridiculous but I agreed. Then they called me and said that my car needed a fuel pump and it was going to be $750. I was outraged but I agreed. I picked up my car the next day and it stalled on the way home, a strong smell of gas coming out of it. I called them and they said get somebody to fix it and we will reimbursed you. It turned out they had done a lousy job. I paid $110 to fix it and headed over there to get reimbursed of my $110. Mark said that because the job had ot been done at the shop, they couldn't reimburse me. THIEVES!! legal thieves. That is what Mark and those people are. Don't take your car there. read more
