Rolled in with a Groupon for a synthetic-blend oil change. Brian, the manager, checked the manufacturer's specs and let me know my car actually calls for full synthetic. Explained why full synthetic was better, and when I said I was watching my wallet, he gave me a solid discount that was better than the Groupon's full-synthetic price. Legend. Shocked to see this place has 4.5 stars . I am more than sure those are paid/fake reviews. I'm not sure if it was because I purchased an oil change service via Groupon. I'm so glad I was not by myself, it was my homegirl and I . We felt very uncomfortable. The guy who approached me (bald guy in the office not sure if he is the owner or not) was very rude, aggressive, and had a condescending tone in All our interactions. I didn't feel comfortable asking questions or letting him know concerns on my car after he dismissed me, not listening to what I would say.I won't even get into the handling of my car(from driving it into the station ramp). I sat outside to get out off the lobby as I couldn't review the paperwork I had asked for a copy off that he stated I will get once my work was complete. I felt uneasy the entire time they worked on my car and I still have that feeling. I came to save $$ but it honestly wasn't worth it. Worst place to take your car. Puncture holes into things. They say they "did an oil change" it leaked out and they try to say it was my power steering. You can't see what there doing but I never had any problems with my vehicle till I went to them. read more

I am very happy to find this place. All stuff is really friendly, they do have fair prices, they work very fast and took my car right away for service. I had a problem with my tire light, it is appear on my screen all the time, so they finished alignment for me and reset the this tire indication without any additional charges. Update ! They never fixed the alignment and claimed it was my suspension! It's not my suspension !! . They ruin my alignment dramatically! It was worst after I left the shop the first time and on purpose to claim it's something else and I was to pay them 700 more if I want my car to drive straight!! Hahah I was going to go to my main mechanic to get it corrected but my alignment corrected on it own after a a month ! It drives straight now and tires look good ! It's been many months now ! The team here has taken really great care of me and my Tesla. I brought my Tesla Model 3 in to swap my two rear tires since we are awaiting a new set of custom wheels. I consider myself to be a very detail oriented person and maybe even picky, especially when it comes to any work done to my car. When I brought my car in, I also had the tires I'd be replacing them with not knowing one tire had been left out in the box with the recent rain and the acoustic foam had absorbed a bit of water (I know, very dumb of me not to check prior to bringing them over and totally my fault). The team there kept trying to balance the wheel for about an hour...rebooting the system that measures the balance, adding and removing weights, and still no luck. Luckily I had an extra tire at home that I brought back for them to install...and just like that, problem was fixed! These guys were honest with their price and didn't want to change the price on me even after the issue that was completely my fault. I love supporting small business owners who are honest and these guys definitely have my future business. Although I don't have much service that is needed on my Tesla, I know I can trust these guys in case I do need them for brakes, wheels, tires etc. They even do some bodywork! I just took my 2016 Honda in for a check up on a noise I got all of a sudden. They were sooo nice, polite, friendly, and professional. They are family-owned here in La Mesa. They were very thorough and took my car with me for a long test drive, but the car didn't do it again. You know how that goes. Duh!!! But if I need a mechanic again, I will not hesitate to visit Helix again. I think the main person is Steffon, and I was also helped by Ray and George. Just a great experience.
