Our game master for the day was Leti, and let's just say if she's your game master, you're going to have a great time. She had super high energy that helped us get excited at the beginning. We started the room with high adrenaline too. I like the puzzles at this place too because they're all very reasonable. They're challenging but they don't require you to think very randomly and it's all connected. The puzzles are also not linear so multiple puzzles can be worked on at the same time rather than being stuck on one puzzle together. I wish we were able to get a refund. I wouldn't come here if you are used to higher production escape rooms like Red Door and The Escape Game. I went here with a party of 4 and got the Pirates room. We started the room with an unlocked box, which we found out later was supposed to be locked. We wasted a lot of time on that clue just to find out it was already done. We then ran into another clue that didn't even work like how it was supposed to even though we were doing the puzzle correctly. I would have been satisfied if the clues actually worked and if the room was set up properly. The room itself is very low budget and not immersive. If you want to get your money's worth go to Red Door which is around the same price. We asked at the end of the game if we could get some kind of refund or consolation for the broken room, but we were not able to get one. Came here for the Pirates room and our group spent most of the time trying to figure out a puzzle for a chest that was already unlocked since it was not reset at the beginning of our game. There is a section of the room with a scale that did not work and we spent a lot of time on that puzzle as well just to be told the code because of faulty equipment. The room was small and dim and the decorative quality was poor compared to other escape rooms in the area. The room layout and lack of decor made the experience less immersive. read more

There was a box that was unlocked because it wasn't reset from the previous group. We wasted 20 minutes trying to solve a part of the puzzle that led to the opening of the box that was already unlocked. There was a puzzle that required weighing items on a scale so we called for a hint and they gave us the correct number of items to put on the scale, and the correct number of weights didn't even work. So we called to let them know, and they ended us verbally giving us the code that ended the game for us. It felt like we got cheated, so we asked for some sort of compensation and they just said "we're so sorry". So basically, a waste of $35 dollars. I would not come here again. read more

We had a birthday party for 9-year olds (Wizard Room). 5 stars because the business owner was very responsive to all our questions, policies and prices were very fair and reasonable, and our gamemaster was very friendly. As an example, all the photo booth pictures in the party room were sent to us free of charge, whereas many places would probably upcharge for pictures. For years I kept seeing escape rooms being the new cool thing to do, but was always put off by the price (and sometimes lack of friends to try this out with). One of our close friends who loves doing escape rooms was visiting the East Bay and wanted to hang out with as many people as possible, and suggested ATG. Here I was, in a group of 9 being the only one without any experience. The establishment is inside a 2? story building that doesn't look like much from the outside. You have to call in for them to open the doors for you. The host takes you to their office, where you have to sign a Covid waiver before beginning. You watch a short video of basic escape room etiquete, and depending on what room you are doing, a short video of your mission. Your group is taken to a specific room where you will begin your experience. Won't talk much about what goes on inside the rooms to not give anything away, but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We came out victorious, apparently breaking the record of completing that room the fastest (if you see the Buttlers on the ranks, that's us lol we completed the Secret Vault). They have fun signs as props to take group photos! More recently, we invited two other friends to do a different room at ATG. It was their first time and also didn't know what to expect. Because we were a smaller group and half had no experience, we tried the Holding Cell with a difficulty of 3/5. Similar experience, nothing to complain about! This place does not have anything super fancy, the puzzles were challenging and entertaining, but the gadgets/room setups are not necessarily flashy. Our group didn't mind that, for $30/person and a new experience it was well worth our time and money. I'd give it a 4.5, gotta try out the two 5/5 difficulty level rooms read more

What a great place for a 12 year old's birthday party! The booking process was great. We chose the "Lost Temple", in which the group is split up into two adjacent rooms, and had to work together to decipher the puzzles. It was great! Our gamesmaster was also super helpful. The kids had an awesome time - this is such a great find! I'll definitely come again to try the different rooms. Tip: If the door is locked, call the main number and wait until the entire recording finishes for you to be connected to an attendant. We got there and the girl suggested we change the room because apparently we got an easy one that younger kids do lol she was super nice and let us pick another room. There were 6 of us and we were able to unlock the first room and we're so close to finishing the second one. After we lost, she came in and helped us through the rest of the room so we can see what we missed. I would definitely go again and try other rooms! read more

Luckily grabbed a night-of reservation! Our group booked their Pirates room and got out with time to spare. For COVID safety purposes, masks are required and hand sanitizer/air filters are available throughout the building. A little hard to find-- ATG is located on the second floor in a corporate complex, with ample lot parking. The front door was locked when we arrived around 7, but easy to access their intercom to notify our game master when we arrived. ATG occupies a few units throughout the building to accommodate their lobby and escape rooms. Pirates is pretty linear, with a decent variety of puzzles. A little heavy on mechanical puzzles, but pretty engaging and a good fit for a party of 3. I wouldn't recommend for any larger groups given the physical size of the room. Our game master prepped us thoroughly with nautical lore and walkthroughs on the types of locks to expect. Definitely challenging-- the hints we received were helpful without giving too much away. Note: ATG has elevators available! Their escape rooms are wheelchair-accessible :-) read more

It's been awhile since I've done an escape room. My friend and his GF did one - believe it was the secret vault. $30/person. It was really fun and challenging, well sanitized and safe with the pandemic going on, multiple rooms to keep other parties separate. This was the most difficult escape room I have done, we didn't make it out in time sadly. But they were good about hints and they even allowed us to quick solve the puzzle at the end. read more

My spouse and I had a blast escaping from ATG's holding cell and secret vault rooms. Both rooms were fun and challenging, but doable for 2 people to complete. If it matters to people, holding cell is a single room escape room while secret vault had multiple rooms. Our game masters were fantastic and provided the perfect clue for where we were and pointed us in the right direction without giving it away. Shout out to Leti who was our game master today (11/11/2021). Great personality and vibe that helped hype us up going in and celebrating the victory. We noticed a tip bucket which is great but with COVID we've stopped carrying cash 99% of the time; would love to see a venmo or cashapp option in the future. If we can rope in some friends to do their attic society room, we definitely will. We hope that ATG creates additional rooms also for us to try as a dou to keep our escaping streak going! read more

A large group and I just recently visited ATG and were able to successfully escape the holding cell room. The staff was super friendly and welcoming when we arrived. They were very communicative with the process, as part of our group had not done an escape room before. When we got to the room, the attendant warned us that one of the three digital code safes might not open when it should, and if we felt like we had the right code and it still didn't open, we'd need to call him to open it for us. The safe did not open when it was supposed to. The attendant did come to the rescue and paused or time. However, as the game continued for us, additional items were not opening when they were supposed to. There were two magnetic hatches that did not open and it caused confusion for us. We contemplated for several minutes if we had done something wrong and tried to do what we did again. The game operator did notice after awhile and had us "tug" on these doors to eventually get them open. This affected our finish time as a result. All in all, we had to call or receive help from the game operator about 3 times on malfunctioning items. The puzzles were fun to solve, but if you take finish times very seriously, this is a problem. There shouldn't be many interruptions from the game operators checking if said doors open and to ask us to check them for him. Our time was not paused when this happened, so it was a *bit* irritating. Overall, I would recommend this place to others. Staff was friendly and the room was fun to solve. I just think some of the locks and safes should be replaced so this isn't an issue for others! read more

ATG is an incredibly low budget escape room. I've done about 10 escape rooms and ATG was the least impressive of all of them. My party did the Pirates room. It was a tiny room about 10x10 with amateur props and decorations. The lighting was so bad you could barely read any of the clues, even with the cheap flashlights they provided. They couldn't have spent more than a few hours building out this room. I could literally replicate it in my home. There are so many better escape rooms out there. This one just doesn't cut it. read more

Have reasonable expectations and you will be rewarded with a fun escape room. This is not a high-tech room but it was fun for our group of four (two 30-year-olds and two 50-year-olds). Secret Vault had a variety of puzzles which required teamwork and group thinking - what a concept! This was great for family bonding. We felt like everybody could do something with his/her own strengths but not to the point where everyone is off on his/her own. The tasks were not physical; rather, they relied on logic and reason. In the end, I felt like there was a sufficient amount of things to do without feeling short-changed. We all enjoyed it and are considering doing another. The host was also fantastic. She was enthusiastic and very welcoming. I've done nearly 20 escape rooms and have a decent standard for how things operate. For the price, this one was good! It was an amazing experience. We went here and Olivia was our Game masters the room we chose was Secret Vault. It has multiple rooms, so time is at the essence. It was fun, we had two people who were new to the game and they enjoyed the experience. I guess we took our time a bit on the first half, then when we realized the clocked, we suddenly rushed. We also figured that they can hold parties as well, like theme parties, karaoke, or video game party, and I think we will one day take advantage of these. We had our daughter's birthday party and it was awesome! I didn't see inside the escape room itself but the kids had a great time in there. The party room is amazing. First off, it's huge. We had 18 kids and parents and there was plenty of room. The room was dark with fun party lights and it was full of games (like giant jenga and giant connect four), arcade games, and other activities. The major highlights for our group were the karaoke and the cool Photo Booth with a light ring and back drop that can email or text the pics, boomerangs and videos. The highlights for us were how occupied all the kids were and the fact that there was a kitchen with a fridge and prep space to store everything. A bunch of our party goers are planning to return for their own birthdays because they had such a great time. read more

We had a team party (soccer) for a group of boys (16 - 17 year old). This place exceeded my expectations. Everyone was so nice and helpful. In the party room we had games available to us so the boys always had something to do (basketball, connect 4, jenga, video games, etc). They had a kitchen off the party room we had full access to as well. Plenty of parking as well. Very happy with my experience and definitely would recommend/come back for a future visit. My son just had his 9th Birthday party here this weekend. They did an escape room (Toyland) and partied in the Party Room after. All the boys had a blast! The escape room they did was perfect for their age. They escaped with 2 min to spare. It challenged them, but not to the point where they got frustrated because they couldn't figure out the clue. The Party Room was absolutely amazing! They had video games, basketball, corn hole, etc to keep the boys busy after eating. The microphones may have been the most popular item in that room that day Leti, our party host and game master, was so nice and accommodating. Fun family activity. This was our first escape room experience and it was enjoyable. It was also great because I got the idea this morning and was able to find availability for later in the evening. I also accidentally booked a very difficult room that I didn't pay attention to until later on in the day. I gave them a call and thankfully they were able to switch me over to a more appropriate experience for our skill level. I brought along my eight and 12-year-olds, they each enjoyed it. Our game master was super helpful and thankfully helped us get through almost the whole thing. As someone who is new to this, I didn't really know what to expect so if you are someone who is also new, be prepared for zero instructions unless you ask for clues. We didn't have any idea where to start, but again I guess that's the whole purpose of the room. My kids love escape rooms, so we had to try this new one. The place is unassuming, but the escape room and its puzzles were fantastic. It kept the eight of us guessing and trying options for the full 60 minutes. There were none of those long pauses of frustration; there was always something new to attempt and always a new possibility to try. We can close to finishing, but failed, and had fun doing it. My girlfriends and I came here for a birthday activity at The Vault. It was such a good first experience with escape room! The Vault experience accounted for 8 people, so we had two stranger join us -- but we all worked well together and took each other's observations. Everyone has their forte to contribute to the escaping experience. Totally recommend it! The workers are so engaged and enthusiastic with the experience.
