My girlfriends and I came here for a birthday activity at The Vault. It was such a good first experience with escape room! The Vault experience accounted for 8 people, so we had two stranger join us -- but we all worked well together and took each other's observations. Everyone has their forte to contribute to the escaping experience. Totally recommend it! The workers are so engaged and enthusiastic with the experience. Trying to find a location that could host my team of 50 for a fun teambuilding event was making me want to pull my hair out! Until I found ATG! Not only could they host my large team, but they were so nice and accommodating. We were able to get my entire team into escape rooms (at the same time) and they even had a meeting space upstairs for us to set up food and drinks to celebrate afterwards. We had a blast here! Our daughter has wanted to do an escape room for a while. So we surprised her for her birthday and took her to do the Pirate escape room. Everyone was super nice, followed COVID safety (masks, hand sanitizer, air filtration, etc) it was the first escape room any of us had done, and it was a lot of fun! ATG Escape Rooms is such a hidden gem! We discovered escape rooms as a family this summer, and we've tried a few around the Bay Area, but we keep coming back for more at ATG because of the variety of family friendly themed rooms and the wonderful staff. We've had Kyla as our game master multiple times and one room with Olivia as game master. They were both enthusiastic, helpful without giving away too much when we've needed clues, and always helped us to feel welcome and excited about the experience. The Holding Cell room was fun for us grownups as a date night activity with a range of puzzles that kept us engaged throughout, and our kiddo still raves about Toyland as the favorite escape room of all time. The party room looks super fun as well, so we'll have to keep that in mind! We look forward to trying Secret Vault sometime soon. Thanks so much, ATG! read more

I was looking for a different venue for my son's birthday and friends recommended ATG escape room. I've never been to an escape room so really had no idea what to expect but we had a GREAT time. Letty was cheerful and helped us carry our party supplies to the room, she was accommodating with all of our party guests and really easy going. She explained how some locks worked and that she would always be available to help us and she was. Since our group was young, we had lots of questions and also lots of excitement. The kids stayed engaged and interested, they worked on various codes/ locks simultaneously or all together, and they were excited with each solved item. The hour passed quickly and we very nearly escaped. I loved how we got to use the party room before for food and afterwards for cake because we got talk about the clues and keep laughing. We had a great time doing the Wizard Escape room. We even broke their record for it. It was fun and challenging, it felt very clean. It was a single room, so best for a group of 4 or so people, could be crowded with more. Everything was very clean and well sanitized. Other escape room times were staggered, so we didn't really encounter other groups. Overall was a great time and will definitely come back and try the other rooms. read more

Celebrating my daughters 16th birthday with a little fun in the escape rooms then some party time in the party room with cake & karaoke was a success. We planned on a little get together for my daughters birthday with a few friends & close family. We wanted something intimate & it turned out perfect. Everything went smoothly from contacting to arrange the event to clean up. The employees of the escape room were very polite & thorough. All details from bathrooms to karaoke set up was not missed. Lots of compliments from our family & friends on how much fun they had in the escape room & enjoyed the party room space, which included a kitchen. On the plus side, the staff was friendly and helpful. The faculty followed COVID guidelines and had air purifiers and sanitizer really available. There was a nicely appointed waiting area as well. I would not recommend the Pirate escape, however. They had recently moved the room to a new location and it felt like it wasn't ready. Initial guidance from the GM was also wrong. Props we were told were there for atmosphere and weren't needed for solving were in fact needed. One important item was said to have been recently cleaned, which removed needed information and which should have been checked for playability before having groups in. While we escaped, the shortcomings made it a frustrating experience. Had the room been better maintained, it didn't need to be. There were in fact a good variety of puzzles and puzzle types. Having done a great many rooms, I hope they can make improvements for future guests. read more

The experience with my friends here was definitely fun. Very challenging and thoughtful puzzles We went straight into the hardest level for our first time, and almost made it out. I wish we had gotten a heads up or an offer to switch the challenge up since our group was small and the challenge was meant for more people It is pretty difficult to locate and also difficult to maneuver out of the location. So be careful with that!** or else you will have to go all the way around. Apple's GPS has a hard time directing you there and will make you go past the bridge. Other than that, it is in an office space so it's a bit peculiar! But the challenges make this worth read more

This was the first time that I have ever tried an escape room and it was awesome! Chuck was very informative and set our group up for success! Our group was split into two smaller groups. We had to work together to escape even though we couldn't see one another. It took multitudes of communication and careful observation. The clues were clever, yet fun. What a hidden gem!  This is a venue you don't want to miss to host a party for any occasions. We hosted our son's birthday party with the package of both the Escape Rooms and the Party Room. The party room is equipped with just about everything you'd need: large variety of games, karaoke machine, Just Dance, tables, chairs, table cloth, even a kitchen with a fridge for you to prepare and store food; the list goes on and on.  You'll need to check out their website for a full description.  Needless to say, everyone had a great time playing the Escape Rooms. The venue offers different difficulty levels depending on age and how challenging you want the experience to be, so we were able to find the perfect escape room experience for our group that was challenging but not frustrating! Our family are escape room enthusiasts. We decided to give the virtual escape room a shot. Needless to say, we were not disappointed. The CIA room was challenging but very doable. Our family broke up into two groups and shared the zoom screen to help us keep updated on each other's progress. We were very impressed with how they adapted the experience. Although it won't beat being there physically, I was very happy we were able to get our escape room fix while there are still restrictions. For full transparency, my family are escape room fanatics and we did NOT succeed at escaping the "Secret Vault" in the allotted time. So, with that background, here is our assessment: The Good - 1) Super nice and engaging introductions by the host. I apologize that I dont remember her name, but probably the best host we've ever had. She was funny, encouraging, and really signaled that she enjoys what she does. 2) The escape was hard. The first room had a decent amount of diverse clues. We actually enjoy the rooms better when we don't get out in time or when we have a minute to spare. 3) We were the last group, so the hosts graciously allowed us to see if we could finish the game...which we did about 5 min later....thank you The Not So Good - 1) There was not a theme of the clues related to the "Secret Vault". The room could have been called anything. 2) Because of no cohesive theme, the second room felt repetitive in the types of clues....it would have been more fun to have different types of clues 3) Finding the pattern of one of the clue sets was a real stretch....can't say which one on this review or else I'd give away too much, but suffice it to say that we had to ask for 2 or 3 clues on the clue set...it just didn't make sense Grade: C Will I try it again: Absolutely. We've been to great rooms and not so great. Feedback is a gift and if ATG continues to iterate, then they will have a really good series. BTW: Funny story - The escape room experience didn't end after we left....ATG's parking lot doesn't let you leave the way you come in if you arrive via the main road....its a clue! read more

Fortunately we said yes. That meant we received helpful messages from the control room that kept us on track. And we almost made it out. We just needed another minute. So much fun. We did the Wizards room. Very unique. Even though it was just one room, there was so much going on inside. I like the screen with the clock counting down. The clues that are posted on there. We called for a clue with 10 minutes left and finished with 2 minutes to go. The game master could not have been nicer and she has so much energy. It would be ideal if the escape room would put people with no experience with other newbies and experienced people with other experienced people.
