I stumbled across this place picking up an Uber order. I've probably been here almost 10 times since then. One time I came 3 times in a week This is the best Mediterranean food. A lot of rice is very bland and flavorless. This is the most flavorful yellow rice I've ever had. I also thought I didn't like falafels, but it just turns out that I don't like bland falafels. The food is legit! The customer service is even better. I ordered the shrimp platter with my usual rice, hummus, and salad togo. When I arrived I order some baklava as well. As I was waiting for everything to be plated we talked briefly about the risk by costs of goods due to inflation. We also discussed the different flavors of Mediterranean food and what to expect from different regions and countries. The icing on the cake was the free veggie platter they served me with the roasted cauliflower, spicy potatoes, and roasted eggplant. Honestly I could eat the eggplant and nothing else. Whole chunks of garlic and savory tomato based sauce yet the eggplant still had a slight crunch to it. I expected it to be soggy and mushy. It was NoT! All the food was good but it wasn't necessary my taste. Let me explain. I want garlic in my Mediterranean food. And then I want more garlic. But for starters, we had the Athena appetizer sampler and with the exception of some garlic and a pinch of salt, all was good except the tzatziki sauce. It wasn't my vibe, I didn't taste any cucumber or garlic and the "yogurt" was thick and warm. But with the exception of preference, that was my only complaint. I prefer green pea falafel but I thought their chick pea falafel was tasty. I'm not always a fan of baba ghannouj but I liked theirs heated a little. I'm glad I started with a sampler. Everything else was really good and I will order again... and again. There are other things I want to try. We had the spinach pie which was yum. The chicken shawarma salad was very good and a lot more veggies than I expected. And the dressing was very tasty. The gyro platter was also plentiful and delish. We had rice and salad as sides. There was so much food there was plenty for at least a second meal. I thought the prices to be very reasonable and I'm excited to go back and get a meal with a juice. This was the worst sandwich - not just the worst falafel sandwich, the worst any kind of sandwich - I have ever had. The falafel was dry, tasteless, and stale. Also there was NO sauce on the sandwich whatsoever: no hummus, no tzatziki, no anything at all. It was just flavorless dry falafel crumbles in a pita with one small tomato slice, about a teaspoon each of tiny onion and lettuce pieces, and some small strange pickles (which weren't terrible). YUCK. Now my mouth feels dry and gross. I also got baba ghanouj, which came with exactly one piece of pita bread. One. Piece. Seriously???
