The later it gets in the day, the harder these are to get. I called this location before popping in to confirm there were some left (it was around 2:30 pm). The employee was friendly and confirmed that there were two left. These cookies are big enough to share so I only got one. I ate every crumb before I made it up the block. I suggest you try it. The Cookie is 5 stars. The overall 4 star rating is because this location has smelled like cleaning products each time I've visited. When you walk in you will order at the front with the cashier, you will be given a number and you will find a seat, a server will bring your food to you. Our server was present, and very funny! The food was regular nothing special, it felt like I was at a hotel breakfast and it wasn't bad. The place is really nice with music and a good bit of places to sit. Feb 21, 2026. Not sure what happened today. Quality went out the windows. Or maybe they gave us the last of what was left. Was definitely not worth the 50 dollars we pay everhtime we eat here. This is the bad part of no longer having the food out on display. You never know what you end up with. The potato palette was definitely smaller and dried up. The quiche was most definitely dried up so much it was peeled away from the pie crust and the bacon was dry and crumbly. This is normally what you see when food has sitting out too long. This was one of the strangest restaurant experience I've had. I came in about 30 mins after opening. There was a table of 4 guys at a table in the corner and one guy eating at a table by the restrooms. I stood for a moment waiting to be stated. There were 2 ladies on the other side of the counter talking. They looked at me standing there, but waited a minute before saying "sit anywhere". I sat down and was looking at my phone, waiting for a server. A couple of minutes went by and they said "coffee's over there". Hmm. I said, oh do it yourself, huh. I got coffee, sat down and realized no one was bringing menús. I asked where they were. "Over in front". Ok, looked at the menu (the ladies hadn't moved), decided what I wanted, and said "ok, now what"? She pointed to a register and said she would take my order there. I ordered and paid, and thought it was hilarious that they asked about a tip. Food came out, ding ding... the ladies didn't move. I recently visited La Madeleine with my family after being repeatedly told by them how wonderful it is. They have been raving about the entrees and the desserts, especially the crème brulee, since moving to the area a few months ago! The cashier who took our order, and the server who delivered our food, were both very kind and friendly. The store was taking cash only on this day. The restaurant's atmosphere was spacious and cozy at the same time, with pleasant music and art depicting Paris. Many desserts were on display in the front case, looking very appetizing! However we were there for lunch. We had the turkey bistro sandwich, the pesto caprese sandwich, and the four-cheese baked pasta. The quality and richness of the food were amazing. The pesto caprese sandwich was my absolute fave. The mozzarella was so fresh, and the sauce, maybe a kind of mustard, was super delicious. All of the bread was so fresh and crusty! The pasta was extremely cheesy. We stuffed ourselves. I did not try the turkey sandwich, but it looked piled high with meat, and my family member loved it. We didn't have room for dessert. The restroom was clean and I enjoyed the French language lesson I heard while taking care of business in there. The only complaint we had is the fountain drinks were very pricey at $3.69. Ordering drinks really increased my total bill, therefore 4 stars instead of 5. I will return asap! Thank you. read more

This is my favorite cafe to visit for years now. However they had it remodeled a few months ago and it's not the same. It's lost its authentic French atmosphere. They used to have food out and you could see what you'd like to get and pick it. Now it's just the menu and you can't see what is available. We came this morning around 10:30 and my family each ordered a meal. I wanted to get Chicken Friand which was not available so I had to get a small yogurt which cost $8. They used to have bread out and you could get as much as you wanted. Now they portion it out, you have to go and ask for it. The lady acted nasty when I asked for bread. The amount I paid to eat here, for 4 people and they are going to have an attitude when I ask for a slice of bread? Just terrible. I have ordered 6 tarts yesterday at Severn location in Metairie. My receipt was coming with another part - Survey and a Free pastry, but the girl did not give it to me. She kept it for herself, I guess) I wrote a survey on the LaMad website, and the next day their Manager called me, and left the message that no Survey and a free pastry slip was there (can you believe that?). I feel myself cheated. This place is ridiculous. I can recall a few years ago placing my order with them over the app, - 45 minutes ahead, - for a Chicken Friand. After I arrived they told me I have to wait another 45-50 minutes since my Friand is not yet in the oven. I told I don't want it then, I want a refund. The lady who worked there started to argue with me, she was rude. I insisted that the Manager come to the front register. The Manager - the lady with dreads,- came and she was pretty rude too. She processed the return, and said sarcastically: "Not sure you will get you money back since you've used the app!". I am an accountant, I do reconciliation of my accounts, and guess what?,- I never got my money credited back to me from LaMadeleine!, it was more that $10. They screwed me up. They don't want to give you the contacts of a District Manager. I believe the District Manager has no idea of what is going on 'on the field' within their locations. This is my go to La Madeline. It's near my office and I stop in every couple of weeks or so. The food is consistently good, and there are lots of healthy options. Don't get me wrong though, I don't always make healthy choices, and when I don't, there are so many less healthy, but super yummy options available. I guess what I'm trying to say is whether you're trying to exercise self control, or satisfy that craving for rich food, there are options. I recently tried the lentil and kale soup and it's a winner. The kale and quinoa salad's another healthy keeper. I'm going to lump the pasta salad in with those good for you choices, because it's light and, come on, it's a salad. Forget that it's pasta. Their soups are all amazing, and I'm hooked on the tomato basil and the mushroom as well. My favorite sandwich to pair with one of those is the chicken salad croissant. So good! Have been going to Le Madeleine for several years. Contrary to some of the other reviews, the remodel is better than it was. I loved the coziness from pre-renovation, but it's more open now and better ordering procedure. We go for breakfast often and occasionally for lunch/dinner. Depending on who is cooking, the eggs are good, however one of the female cooks cuts the scrambled eggs with something and the cooked result is like a cottage cheese consistency. They are edible just not very good. If your order is brought as soon as it's ready, the food is fairly hot. Most times just barely warm. The A/C makes the restaurant fell very cold (too cold IMHO but I realize others may love that) and the coffee cups and plates are ice cold. Which is part of the reason why the food comes cold and the coffee can't be kept hot once poured. Since I have witnessed people overloading on the complimentary bread, I think it was a smart move to provide upon request. Some reviews say it's pricey, but there are no restaurants that aren't in today's times. The prices would be even higher if they have "all you can eat"bread. It's a great place for breakfast or a quick meal. Hoping they can improve on keeping the food and dishes warmer so the meals and beverages can be enjoyed hot. read more
