I'll give this place two stars only because when I went in one of the workers was extremely nice.... however... the other worker did not even acknowledge us. It was like we didn't belong in the store. The one lady that was nice told me to email her with measurements so I did. I never received a quote like promised. So I ended up going somewhere else. After reading reviews on here I decided to give Athena a try to fix out broken roman shade. The staff was very friendly and let us know that we would receive more information on how much the repair would be when their repair person comes into the store in a few days. That same day we received a call letting us know that the repair has been performed. When we picked up the shade, which about 8 foot wide and high, it was all rolled up and neatly packed in a plastic bag. The repair invoice was detailed and they also provided us back the spare parts that we ordered from someone else in our attempt to fix what we thought could have been the cause - which didn't work for us. The price was very fair and I will go back to Athena when we're ready for new blinds or additional repairs. read more

My husband and I just recently build a new home and decided to check out Athena's Window Fashions as our first stop in pricing out some window treatments. We learned she was very price competitive, and we found her store and her and her husband and staff to be incredibly professional and helpful. We didn't even want to shop around after meeting with them. They came out to our home under NOISY construction, took measurements, and got back to us quickly with ideas and quotes. We went with all real wood shutters and one shade for our bathroom window. They were special ordered and came in right on time as promised. The end result is fantastic and worked with our budget! We are so very happy with them. Even when we had an issue with a shutter above our sink (we bought an oversized faucet), they came out and offered suggestions to work around the faucet. I have used Athen's Window Fashions for 21 years. Her family run business is amazing. Recently we have updated rooms in our home and Athena has made cornice boxes for my family room, kitchen and most recently one for a guest bedroom and a custom headboard with fabric. Athena comes to the home, brings the fabrics and is great with suggestions such as color and patterns and how they will work in that space. For my family room and kitchen she also had left over fabric and made 2 pillows for my family room couch. In the guest room the headboard is beautiful. She takes photos of all her work after it is installed and calls to make sure the work is installed correctly and the customer is happy. Her installer is great too. I also needed a 12 ft cellular shade restrung in my family room and her husband John did a great job with that. She has a huge showroom in Gilbert but I asked her to bring fabric to my home and she did. I highly recommend her. read more

Athena is remarkable to work with. If you can imagine it then she can create it. I have actually given her cut out pictures from several different magazines to just create one window dressing and she has such an artistic imagination that she brought to life exactly what I was looking for.
