I've been coming to athenia grill for about 20 years it's sad to say the new management it's terrible they are not customer friendly. The girl cashiers are ok but the rest of management pretty much sucks,the skinny guy who works on Sunday evenings has a terrible attitude. I was in the area and was craving some Greek food. The closest place was Athenian Grill. I was hesitant to go in because the place looked run down and old. But I went on in. I ordered the Lamb and Beef kabob plate. I changed my order for to-go because I didn't want to eat at a filthy restaurant. The place smelled like the bathrooms at the airport. The corners of the place were filled with dirt. The guy who took my order seemed annoyed when I changed my order to-go. His customer service was not that great either. That same guy who took my order and handled the cash I gave him, also went to the back and prepared my food without gloves. I just wanted to get out of there. It is like a drive thru restaurant with no drive thru. When I came back to my friends place to eat, I was disappointed with the lamb and the beef. The lamb had this foul smell to it was was really chewy. I could not finish it, also due to the thought of the place it came from. If you are looking for REAL Greek food then go elsewhere. DISRESPECTFUL, RUDE, & GROSS Jist of the story, I was delivered food with hair in it. Called to say something, lady with orange mixed colored hair, and piercings was disrespectful and rude and hung up on me. Show up at their business and the same lady on the phone was the only person working at the register, she gets more disrespectful and out of line. The chef comes in and tries to help the situation. He tried to bargain with me, but I was not going for any negotiations. He tried but it wasn't happening. End of the story he pulls money out of his own pocket to cover for the Orange haired girl. I gave him some of his money back and told him you shouldn't have to pay for her mistakes out of your pockets. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! The little orange haired pierced girl there was definitely not qualified to be working with customers. I tipped the driver extremely well to deliver a few business doors down the Orange haired girl had the audacity to insinuate that I was cheap. This business needs help!!! read more

I've been a long time Athenian Grill patron. I have to say that since there has been a change in management, there has been a change in the overall atmosphere of the experience here. Does anyone remember "Cheers"? I'm not sure how the new manager got his job, but he always seems stressed out, never smiles, and lacks the warmth that "Athenian grillers" felt in the past. His demeanor affects all of his employees as well. I hope something changes because I want to continue to be a loyal customer. How can the food get that cold when I live 3 blocks from your restaurant. Hamburger was soaking wet and cold. Beef kabob was Luke warm at best, and gyro fell completely apart at first touch. Maybe it's better to dine there, but I'd stop deliveries if that's the best you can do. read more

Best breakfast burritos in town. Just the right proportion of ingredients in each bite. Unlike most places where the burritos look huge but over half of it is potatoes and that's all you get in over half your bites. Bacon and ham best combo imo. read more

I've been trying to find a Greek delivery place around Reseda. Ordered delivery from Athenian Grill for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised! Got the gyro sandwich, which was large and filled with very tasty gyro meat (my hubby said it was the best he's had). My husband got a Philly cheesesteak sandwich, which was filled with chunks of tender steak and was delicious. The lamb kabob was cooked perfectly... medium and nicely seasoned. And delivery was quick and easy. All in all, we loved this place! Definitely going to order from here again. read more

Really great fast food. I steer clear of the super-naughty foods like chili fries and cheese burgers, but my favorite is the Greek salad with grilled chicken. Enormous salad, easily enough for 2 people, and MAYBE a small order of zucchini fries to offset the healthy bit. Definitely a favorite! read more

I used to love this place. Ordered all the time. The owner was great and so was the food! Then the place took a dive. I would place an order for delivery and it would show up cold or not at all, and the customer service was awful! So, I quit giving them my business. It's been about 7 years and thought I'd give them another try (I was craving a gyro sandwich). Wow! What a difference! They have definitely stepped up their game!!! Great Gyros. I always get the Gyro Lunch Combo and it's great every time. I usually order for pick-up because I think the delivery fee is a little too much for only a couple blocks away from my house but I'll order delivery if I'm especially lazy and have a hankering for a gyro. What's nice about delivery is their is no minimum delivery amount. For pick-up there is a small parking lot behind the restaurant which makes it easy to get in and out. The Staff is always really nice and accommodating to special requests. Haven't tried everything but the cheeseburger is good and I like their fries and onion rings. I've never dined in, but upon pick-up I can see the dining area is always clean and the staff is great. They also have a great deal on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for 4 burgers, 4 fries and 4 drinks for $15. I'll have to try that when I have some friends over, adding the delivery fee, tax and tip, that's only about $6 per person for a good burger meal. read more

I hardly ever write reviews, but I had to for this spot. I come to this place all the time and usually it's ok. Only for the burgers and fries. I once ordered a turkey club and it was the nastiest turkey club I've ever had. The texture of turkey was slimey and it was the packaged kind that looks plastic. Didn't even eat it. I've had my issues with this place in the past Buut what made me write this review and give it low stars is because this last Saturday around noon I tried ordering a breakfast burrito and had two requests 1: please cook the potatoes longer and 2: please season the potatoes (they put so much it gets bland if there's not enough seasoning) Not too difficult right? Wrong! I was surprised to hear the counter girl tell me that she was too busy to season potatoes and it couldn't be done. Duuuude I was in awe. First of all u don't cook, u just relay the message to the cook. I told her I was a cook for a long time (I even know the cook there, cause we worked together in the past) and that seasoning food is part of the job! all I wanted was a couple extra shakes of the seasoning that should be going on anyway. She replied "well yeah I don't know what to tell you". U can't imagine how mad and perplexed I was to hear this. Anyway screw this place, beeps is further but better.
