    GET GREEKY
    Melissa O.

Was in the area and decided to stop for lunch here. I hadn't noticed this spot before and after looking at their menu online I decided to order a "Get Greeky" bowl. It comes with saffron rice, baby greens, feta, hummus, tzatziki, olives, and dill yogurt with your choice of protein (I chose chicken shawarma). I LOVE tzatziki (the smell of dill is so fresh and citrusy) and theirs is pretty good. All the ingredients were fresh and it was a pretty large serving so I ended up taking half of it home. Customer service is excellent and everyone was super friendly. There is plenty of indoor seating and I was delighted by the floor-to-ceiling windows. It's starting to look and feel like summer so having lunch indoors with the sun shining bright was a nice feeling and created a nice ambiance. 10/10, will definitely be back for another bowl soon.

The Kebab Shop, in Northridge, is perfectly situated at the junction of Nordhoff and Corbin. It has always been a welcome addition to the ethnic diversity of food choices in this small and burgeoning locale of dining. I was here a long while back and was not impressed. To be fair, I have always said that when you visit a place for the first time, you have to order the right stuff, or you will be disappointed. I must confess that I do not know if it was it, or that the Kebab shop, still needed to fine tune and grow. Enter 3 years later, the same place, the same store. This time a carry out. Two selections. First the grilled beef kofta. It comes with a unique thin bread, well toasted with charing blisters (a cross between a roti and a pita). Superb. The kofta was soft, rustic, succulent and tasty. I also got an order of falafel. Came with six balls that were perfectly crisped and browned on the outside, with a soft, flavorful and lightly spiced partial green colored filling on the inside. Wonderful. What highlights this place is their free filling station for condiments, off pumping stations. There were four of them, all of them smooth. Original yogurt, Dill yogurt, Fire chili and Cilantro jalapeño. All these sauces had the perfect blend of viscosity, individual color, body and taste. Yes, this place definitely deserves praise ....and many more visits, at day or night.

Fernando was friendly, professional, and efficient at the register. He provided great customer service, handled everything smoothly, and made the checkout experience quick and pleasant.

I thought the ingredients tasted fresh and I like that they use a whole wheat flatbread for the the wrap. Thin like a flour tortilla and HUGE! They have a good variety of proteins and toppings, so you can customize your wrap/bowl/plate however you like. You can load up on their cilantro jalapeño sauce, spicy tomato sauce, dill yogurt, and OG yogurt at their sauce bar. That cilantro jalapeno sauce is bomb and the dill yogurt is delicious. The restaurant is huge and clean and the workers were hustling in the kitchen to get the orders out. The cashier was also very friendly, patient, and helpful.

I have been here so many times and every time I am always impressed with their food. Additionally, it's always very clean, very spacious, and the service is pleasant. This time I ordered a plate that comes standard with a choice of protein and two sides. I selected the Chicken Shawarma, Saffron rice, and the chickpea salad. I wanted something on the healthier side after the gym and this hit the spot. The chicken was juicy and has a nice grilled flavor, meaning theres a very light smoky flavor to it. The rice serving is generous and the chickpea salad was amazing! It had a light acidic flavor and added an overall fresh component to my meal. BEWARE! The cilantro jalapeño sauce is addicting and the OG Yogurt on top of that is just amazing. I have tried about everything here and I can honestly say you cannot go wrong with anything you choose. I would say the price is reflective of the quality you get in return. Stop by, give them a try, and maybe I'll see you there.

First time trying The Kebab Shop! I was looking for a yummy spot to bring my dad on Fathers Day since he loves Mediterranean & Middle Eastern food but doesn't often get to eat it- so it was the perfect time to try TKS! TKS is located in a shared lot with the Symmetry apartments and a couple of other food spots. There was a good amount of parking but it filled up quickly as the afternoon went on. It looked like there was a parking garage for the businesses if the lot was full. Inside, there is a ton of seating and the windows make it feel really bright but it was still cool (despite it being 90 degrees outside). We were instantly greeted by Carmen who helped explain the menu to my parents and gave us some great recommendations on which fillings/toppings to get. Their menu is straightforward, where you can build your own wrap, bowl, or plate, with various bases, proteins, and sides. You can see their rotisserie meats and open flame grill while you're ordering which really makes your mouth water! They have a variety of canned and bottled beverages (Poppi soda, glass bottle Coke and Orange Fanta, 20oz bottles of Coke/Diet Coke/Coke Zero) as well as a fountain with Coke products. One of my favorite things was their sauce station-they have their O.G. Yogurt (original garlic), Cilantro Jalapeno, and Fire Chili sauces "on tap" so you can go back for as many refills as you'd like. I filled up on their O.G. at least three times. We all decided to build our own bowls and all were very filling and delicious! We all opted for the saffron rice as our base which was very good and cooked perfectly. -PROTEIN- The protein options are chickpea falafels, carved (rotisserie) chicken, carved lamb beef, grilled chicken tenderloin, grilled beef kofta, and grilled sirloin steak. My mom and I both tried the rotisserie chicken which was juicy and flavorful. My dad had the lamb kofta which was well seasoned and he really enjoyed it. I only wish there was a bit more protein since we all ran out before we finished the rest of our bowls. -SIDES- I loved the toppings we could add to the bowls. They have standard toppings: romaine, cabbage slaw, pickled onion, tomato cucumber salad, O.G. yogurt; and premium toppings: feta, hummus, jalapenos, olives, pita crumbles, tzatziki dip, saffron rice, grilled veggies, fries. It's worth noting they only upcharge for fries and grilled veggies ($1 each) for the bowls/plates. The pickled onions and tomato cucumber salad are perfect additions to the bowls to lighten them up, and the feta and tzatziki dip add a nice creamy contrast to the grilled meat and rice. We also tried the pita which was very moist and tasted fresh. The food was all really tasty and the portions were hearty. The price tag is a bit high considering the menu options aren't as plentiful, but personally I think the quality was worth a repeat visit. Big thank you to Carmen and the rest of the Kebab Shop crew-we look forward to coming back!

First visit today at lunch. I went with a friend and we ordered the plate combination. We both ordered the chicken kebab, with saffron rice, and grilled veggies. In addition, we got a side order of hummus and charred pita bread. They have the option of fountain drinks and a bottle drinks in a ice fridge section. We opted for fountain drinks. I would say my favorite part of the lunch was the pita and hummus. The chard pita was something I had for the very first time and their hummus was absolutely delicious. The chicken kebab was flavorful and very tender. The grilled veggies consisted of zucchini, squash, and red peppers. I have no idea what they season them with, but it was absolutely fantastic. We didn't even finish our plate and we took the rest to go. The space where there's indoor dining is open and airy due to the plate glass windows. The decor is semi industrial and contemporary modern. Camila was so impressive. Five stars for Customer Service. I will definitely be back.

Rice is like eating plastic, falafel is dry and has whole garbanzo beans in it instead of blended. Kebab is dry and bland. Overall quality is poor.

My favorites are their kabobs and different modifications (think sour berries) of generous amounts of basmati rice that accompany their entrees. The Mast O' Mooseer (yoghurt with shallots) is another of my must haves. Generally, I always get the koobideh kabob to go, but this time, I was in the mood to sit down and have some chunks of meat. I chose the Shish Kabob, which is advertised as grilled filet mignon pieces. The restaurant prepares it medium well and past experience revealed it to be dry and tough. So I asked for it medium rare, for the first time. The dish that came to my table had marvelous optics. The beef was well charred, had an intoxicating aroma and well distributed coloring amongst the seven generous pieces. But there were a few problems. For one, I could not comfortably cut into the beef without using excess force, and shredding it. I asked for a sharper (steak) knife and was told that was all they had. While the meat was juicy, it was extremely chewy. I even questioned whether it was filet mignon, because it did not look and behave like it. I was told it was. If that was the case, could it have been a bad cut? This substantiates why I am leery about ordering meat pieces. Amongst the other items, the thick creamy yoghurt did not disappoint. Same with the grilled onion and tomato. The saffron rice is always fluffy and abundant. The green salad was crisp and refreshing. Take home message? Looks like I will have to skip the Shish Kabob and stick only with the koobideh, if I am ever in the mood for skewered grilled beef.

A multicultural experience :). So what do you order when you come here? I came here for a carry out and it had to be their beef koobideh. It came with a choice of salad (Greek in my case), basmati rice, two skewers of kabob, grilled onions, tomato, jalapeno and a small container of tzatziki. For a starter, I selected a bowl of the green lentil soup that came accompanied with two small pieces of grilled artisan bread. This soup was fantastic in both flavor, freshness and taste. Most Mediterranean soups have too much lemon, imparting acidity to the dish. Here, if it was there, it was very slight, hardly noticeable. I consider this pivotal, because now you get to actually taste the depth of the lentils. As for the kabobs, it was a generous portion. They were moist, tasty, optimally spiced and with satisfying texture. The Tzatziki was superb. This eatery touts themselves as a scratch kitchen, for the food that is served daily to their customers. Indeed, I have to say that their food does taste different. I know that this restaurant will climb upwards on my list, for many more repeat visits.

Mediterranean food is pretty consistent (ie the same) for my tastes wherever I get it so I was pleasantly surprised by a few elements of Pi. The pies, for example...I tried the Zaatar pie...honestly it was not much more then a thick, airy, freshly made pita with Zataar and olive oil on it...but it's sometimes the simplest things which delight. The Zaatar pie delighted. I tried the Lebanese red wine (I mean, when in a Lebanese restaurant, why not?) And it stood up to any red I'd had anywhere else. The Tabouleh (one of my Mediterranean standards) was fresh made, filling, and a nice companion to the heavier Zaatar pie. It was awfully nice, and unexpected, to get complimentary baklava at the end of the meal...2 generous sized pieces which were pretty indulgent and eliminated the need to get (and pay for) dessert there or anywhere else. Service was lovely...the manager or owner took care of us and made us feel he was truly grateful that we were there. It's also a hookah spot...so if you're not into that vibe or smoke of any kind, (I'm not really) you'll definitely smell that anywhere you are in the restaurant, even if you're not seated next to those using hookahs. This spot is takeout only, hidden in what basically feels like a restaurant warehouse, and as you walk down to pick up your food you genuinely start wondering, "Where the hell am I?" Then the aroma hits and suddenly you're floating like a cartoon character following the smell trail. I got the beef koobideh and WOW! Perfectly seasoned, insanely flavorful, fluffy rice, and the shirazi salad absolutely slapped. All this for $15 in 2026 when gas is $6.30. And the service? So kind. The person I called taking my order was sweet, everyone at pickup was welcoming, and I swear someone's grandma was in the kitchen because the food tasted like a warm hug. I don't usually write reviews unless the food is genuinely special, and I definitely don't gatekeep good food. So if you're craving Persian food, place the order now.

The chicken koobideh was flavorful and juicy. In fact, it was the juiciest koobideh I've ever had. The price was very reasonable at only around $15 (a steal for LA!). What I appreciated the most is the kind service. I could tell there was a lot of positive energy there. I'll be back whenever I'm in the area. In the meantime, I'm wishing them all the best and much success. Shukriya and merci!

So I was in a Gyro mood and usually when around Northridge I go for Pita Pocket but this time I…read morewanted to try this place out as I've always driven by it so I always wondered how it is. So I ordered 3 Gyro meals. Lamb, chicken, and beef with the combo meal fries and drink. For the 3 sandwiches with each of them having a side of small fries and small drink I paid $71.29 for the entire order which is crazy in itself but the real crime was the food here, I am surprised how this place is been running business this whole time. First thing you do when you sit in a car? Take a few bites of the fries, and let me tell you that shit got stuck in my throat from how dry and nasty it was absolutely no SALT on any of the sandwiches and or fries... We all know salt makes everything more delicious and we had none of it. Me and 2 of my guests all had complaints on how unsalted and bland the food was. Also with a gyro usually you need a garlic sauce aka white sauce for my New Yorkers, they tried to charge me $5.90 for a SMALL plastic side of garlic sauce for my $20 sandwich. Save your money head over to Pita Pocket or any other gyro spots cuz this ain't it. It's really not hard to get a gyro down. Trader Joes also has a box of gyro meat you can buy make at home and I did once and it was WAYYYY better then this place lol. This place gets 0 stars for charging customers $20+ for a freaking combo meal that doesn't even include a garlic sauce.

Stopped by here based on a recommendation that they have great falafel. Easy parking out front…read more Lots of seating inside but it's a very casual vibe, more of a pick up and go place than dine in. I was a little icked out by the number of flies inside, I didn't see any by the food thankfully but there were between 10-20 flying around by the menus. I went with a falafel bowl. You choose a base, I got half lettuce and half rice. I chose falafel as my protein, you get 3 balls. And you get two sides and a sauce. I got mushrooms and roasted eggplant and hummus as my sauce. The falafel wasn't bad actually, they weren't dry which is so common with falafel. They're pretty large too which is nice. The rest of the meal was sort of ehh, plain iceberg lettuce, plain rice. The mushrooms were cold, I wish they served them hot and found that surprising. And the eggplant was ok. The portion was filling and it was an ok meal overall.
