This is our new go to spot for kabob in the valley. Everything is super fresh, meat is always juicy and we've never had a bad meal here. Portion sizes are great for the price, rice is always tender and really good. So far we've gotten almost every variation of kebab here and they've all been great. I do appreciate that they also have chicken tenders and fries on the menu if you have kids who won't eat middle eastern. This is a small restaurant, the room felt a bit stuffy since they had no customers eating in, AC probably was turned down. Other than that, good place and food! Got the chicken kebab plate with a side of garlic sauce - best garlic sauce I've ever had tbh, it was soooo good! they served it with a side of onions and "pita" and also added butter for that. Seasoned to perfection! Would come back again - one feedback, the girl who took our order knew we were waiting out in the car and just let our order sit. There were some boys parked near us and she came out to give them their food, so we thought she'd do the same for us and she didn't so that was kinda weird. I was looking for a new SFV Kabob place and came up with Ash's Grill on Tampa and Sherman Way. It is located in a small strip mall, with only six tables for inside dining. Three of them have two chairs each, while the others have 4 chairs. The menu is laminated and comes with numerous mediterranean dishes, and yes, there are kabobs. I chose the beef lule kabob entree, that comes with two minced kabobs, rice, grilled tomato, jalapeno and a very small cucumber tomato salad, some hummus too, all plated together. I also ordered their thick yoghurt with shallots to accompany the menu item. The Kabobs were grilled to order, could have used more flavor and were slightly overcooked. Overall, the components blended harmoniously. What stood out was their pita bread, grilled just right and so pillow soft on the inside. That with the yoghurt was absolutely divine. There was also a starter that came with the dish. I chose the lentil soup over the salad. Wow, an excellent selection. The perfect temperature, a nice mix of spices, warm aroma, enticing flavor and tongue feel. This introduction may have surpassed the rest that was to follow. I would go there specially to get the lentil soup alone, to go. Service here was high class, attentive and friendly. Definitely, worth a repeat visit. read more

Was craving a gyro so I tried Ash's Grill since they had great reviews. I ordered a lamb gyro and it was GREAT! Ingredients were fresh and the meat was seasoned perfectly. I'm surprised I haven't tried this location sooner, it's in an unassuming shopping center and I drive by it all the time. For years this small restaurant used to have excellent Mediterranean food. Not anymore. Today we just wasted our money on food we could not enjoy and I could not eat. I ordered the lamb chops which were extremely salty and my husband ordered the salmon which was also extra salty. The only thing we could taste in this food was the salt. Everything was good, from the tenderness of the meat to the crisp of the fries and freshness of the vegetables. The service was quick and person was kind and helpful. Parking lot is small but manageable. The restaurant itself is quaint. My only qualm is if they could turn down the tv music a little bit. It was startlingly loud. When people talk about their secret hole I the wall with the best food, this is what they are talking about. The dining room and interior are the exact opposite of the food. Probably the best kebabs and rice in LA. I would know. Chicken breast is lemony and has a little char. Koobideh is super flavor and delicious. Rice on point. Service was outstanding. I ordered the Beef Lule Kebab, and all I have to say is that I really enjoyed the herbs and spices of each item. All of the meat was tender, and the there was a perfect amount of rice and pita bread to eat along the protein. The hummus was a bit on the sour end, and the shirazi also packed more of a sour taste than I had expected. 1st time and last time Placed a phone order Lady working there speaks bad English. Ordered two shawarma's for pick up. When picking up my order I realized only one was made and the lady gave me attitude and made it seem like it was my fault she didn't understand me over the phone.
