I went in this morning to check the place out. I drive by them all the time but never have a chance to go in. I am glad I stopped. It is a cute little diner nestled on torresdale ave. The atmosphere is dated but not in a bad way. I was told to seat myself and was promptly brought a menu. The server was such a delite. Very funny and friendly. I ordered the breakfast special. Only 3.85! And if included coffee. I was worried at that price the food would be subpar. But no it was delicious! And the order was done to perfection. I like my eggs done more than usual so I was sure it would be done wrong. But no. Perfect. I noticed that I was amongst a family of regulars. Everyone was on a first name basis and it was nice. I stayed longer than expected just because I was enjoying every moment of it. They do full dinner and lunch service as well. I am eager to try everything.

I ordered a bacon omelette with a side of scrapple and for the price I've paid I must admit i am pretty disappointed in the portion sizes of my food. The quality of the food just looks horrible. Have your cooks take pride in making their food this is unacceptable I wish I could honestly give you zero stars

It's just your average diner. Nothing to write home about..I went there once, and once was enough.

It was love at first bite when I sampled their Signature Smash Burger Slider with their secret Bite Sauce! I told them, I was going to visit them at Punch Buggy Brewery, where they are currently doing a residency and I was bringing friends. The intent was to have my beer afficionado and another foodie like myself in tow. Unfortunately, my friend that loves beer wasn't available that day. It just left us 2 foodies! *Punch Buggy Brewery is a quaint haunt for the locals and their 4 legged babies alike, located slightly north of Northern Liberties. When we arrived around 3pm on a rainy Saturday, it wasn't crowded but soon became so. There is a seating area in the back as well that offers a few games for play. Two nice sized TV's are in thefront to catch a game and there's outdoor seating as well. They also offer a wine and seltzer option for those who may want something other than beer.* Ryan greeted us and took our order, since we walked to the back. You can place an order from your table as well. I opted for the Single Slider Flight with 2 Smile Style Burgers and a Hot N' Happy Chicken slider w/Classic Crinkle Cut Fries. My friend also had a Single Slider Flight w/a Smile Style, Fire Slider and Little Tasty Burger and Classic Crinkle Cut Fries. Everything was prepared fresh, came out hot and was delicious!! It was definitely too much food and I had to take home a slider and fries. I highly recommend paying Cassandra and Ryan of Happy Bites a visit to experience what happiness tastes like! They also offer Pup Patties, so your fur baby can experience the joy with you lol. Cheers!

But aside from that I've always had a decent meal and very good service. I have only sat at the bar and the bartender (who seems to be the same on all of my visits) is great. She's personable and I never sit without something I need. The food is fine, it's not bad, but it's nothing special (although their tots are pretty good). I usually just get a burger, sometimes they're cooked perfect (I like medium rare) and other times they're very well. Either way they still taste pretty good. I'll continue to come in here, the service makes it worth it. The food is an afterthought but again, not horrible.

The way inside the building is a little odd, with a long ramp that literally wraps halfway around the whole building. However, it leads to an outdoor terrace for very inviting open-air seating. Inside, the restaurant is big, with an open floor-plan, several big-screen TVs, and large-wrap-around bar right in the middle. Very friendly-feeling. On this visit, we had mushroom and Swiss angus burgers. They were amazing and comparatively inexpensive. We're looking forward to returning soon to this Philadelphia gem to sample other menu choices! *A note to the owners: As of this writing, the website is BADLY out of date and its information is misleading. I decided to pick up the Beast Style Burger combo with unseasoned fries and a Chris Style burger. The burgers are available with two patties, three patties, or more. The patties are thin and browned perfectly, just the way I like them. I chose the double patty with bacon and lettuce and the sandwich was good. The bread was soft and chewy, I think toasting the bun would've made it much better but I didn't taste that they do that. The burger is topped with ketchup, mustard, mayo, pickles, onions, and American cheese. I would have preferred to have left the mayo off but the option wasn't available and they don't allow for special orders. Still, the burger was very good. The seasoning they use takes a little of getting use to but it makes the flavor unique. It says the seasoning is spicy red pepper, garlic, paprika, sugar, and a hint of lime. Better than your average fast food burger and I would put it in the league of a restaurant burger. Five Guys is my go to fast food burger and I might prefer this burger to them. The Chris style burger isn't terribly unique, it puts fries on top of the patty but you don't really notice it. Fries are crinkle cut which is not a cut I'm terribly fond of but these fries are good despite being crinkle cut. They're similar to the kind you get from Chickie's and Pete's but they're not overcooked like at that establishment. They offer something called Beast Style fries which are cheese fries topped with caramelized onions, pickles, ketchup, mustard, and mayo which did not appeal to me at all. If they offered regular old cheese fries, I would have picked that up in a heartbeat. MrBeast Burger is good but I think it could be better. They offer a patty melt burger I would love to try if I had the option to not have caramelized onions and add a second patty to it.
