We were there last night ( a group of six). It was packed but service is efficient and friendly. We sat outside as inside was too noisy. Overall, a solid place for casual gathering. I went to my niece's bridal shower at their "Courtyard Room" on Sunday. The space was clean, modern & decorated very tastefully. The buffet style breakfast foods were delicious & the mimosas were excellent. My favorite was the chocolate chip cake- mouth watering. Always happy when we find a place with parking! Loved the vibe of this place, we sat outside since the weather was nice. You could feel the breeze from the water. HUGE menu with lots of food to appease all the different food preferences. Large drink menu also, so many delicious drinks it was hard to pick! I got the strawberry lime mule and ordered the sampler to snack on. Waiter was great and gave us suggestions since it was our first time! Maggie's. You took one of the best things off of your menu. The chicken itialiano. The sandwich loved so much I even made a Tic Tok about. I'm brokenhearted. Been coming to Maggie's for years and really cannot complain about any of their food items. From sandwiches to pizzas to apps done right. We have always left satisfied. The main negatives I have are the incessant nickel and dining - today's surprise an extra .75 for a tiny cup of dressing. Ask for a little more blue cheese for the wings - $$ - The servers ALWAYS ask if you want cheese for your fries but don't tell you it's a $1 extra. These things aren't a big expense but the added charges seem sneaky. The turnover rate at Maggie's is like none I've seen. Every time we go there is another fresh set of faces. That speaks to the work environment and management.. What I can say, is that Maggie's is consistent. They have a decent long running happy hour. Quizzes/trivia nights. A huge bar and indoor/outdoor seating. We will still be back just because we've been regulars for so long but as with any long standing relationship, the little things are starting to be a bit more of an annoyance than they used to be. read more

Found a new spot for when I'm in the other side of the river. Great waterfront restaurant offering a great selection of beers, good pub grub, great views, plenty of TVs to watch sports. Different Cheesesteak #1200. I got a cheesesteak with fried onions and cheese sauce. It comes with french fries. I got the Maggie seasoning on my fries (touch of sugar) and dipping sauce. I was extremely happy to find out that all of that was included. $17. The cheesesteak was goodish. It came on a good seeded roll. The meat was thinly sliced and finely chopped. I think a thicker slice would produce more steak flavor. Onions added a little flavor. The cheese sauce favored the bottom of the cheesesteak. Top bite was drier than the bottom bite. The sweet potato fries with Maggie seasoning were heavenly. Add the dipping sauce and the fries became whatever is better than heavenly. The bartender was very good. Big loud crowd. read more

What an amazing time we had celebrating our daughter's birthday Our server, Jill, was wonderful, attentive and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious and filling. Great family atmosphere, definitely enjoyed the music that was being played. Also enjoyed the different televisions tuned into different sporting events. We came here for a team lunch and were seated outside fairly quickly so we were able to see the waterfront. We didn't have reservations so we got lucky to even get seated - pretty packed for a Wednesday at 1pm. The food is typical bar food. I ordered the fish tacos (corn tortillas) and it was so bland. It was soggy from the pico de gallo and chipotle sauce. The chipotle sauce was not good. I wished I would have ordered what I originally wanted which was the Margherita pizza (ugh). We also ordered appetizers (the sampler) and they also were not good. The only thing I really enjoyed were the french fries. Our waiter was nice but it was busy so he seemed to have a lot of tables. read more

Big menu, nice indoor/outdoor seating, and beer list doesn't change much but has some different options as well as the usual suspects. My steak sandwich was just OK, but the roast pork sandwich I had was really good. Their special fries were OK but I preferred the regular ones. Service is pretty solid, although they can get busy sometimes. Location is nice in that not too far off of 95, but also looks right across the street to the Delaware River and NJ, with a couple parks right within walking distance. Plenty of parking whenever we've gone. Have come back a few times and will again in the future. read more

We usually love eating here. Today was a hotter day,about 90°, and before we could sit down we were turned away for my husband wearing a Vans tank top. I would understand if it was not a hot day or he was in a white beater but I found it irritating that we were turned down for service. Came here on a Wednesday evening with a large party. Everyone else in NE Philly decided to do the same for graduation parties and retirement parties. Therefore, it was extremely loud and next to impossible to have a conversation, was very uncomfortably humid inside even with the air conditioning and fans going, and our evening was just not as nice as it could have been. At least when we left after almost three hours, the outdoor seating was getting full and they had a nice river breeze. And I could converse with my neighbor. Our server was as attentive as they could be on this super busy evening. There was some discombobulation as to the flow of service but I could have expected this due to the crowds. Our drinks were not boozy at all so you were better off with beer or wine. Everyone I asked in my group was just ok with the food. My French onion soup and supposedly homemade meatball grinder were just ok. Fries were super crispy. Long hots were long and hot. My wife's Caesar salad was eh, and the flatbread looked better than it tasted. Maggie's gives a great family/party/guys hangout setting, average food, ok drinks, and service that tries their best. I'd hate to see if it is worse on Fridays or Saturdays. Parking can be problematic. They have a small lot or street parking by the river. Do not even think about being by the private homes nearby. I thought the prices were quite reasonable for their extensive menu. Mostly bar food and appetizers. read more

They use great bread, which is the key to a great steak or sandwich. Tons of food options and cocktails. Lots of seating options. Indoor, there are two levels, with upstairs for parties. There are plenty of tables outside with great views of the Delaware when the weather is nice. Service is always super friendly. Came here for the second time with my son's hockey team. The manager was so helpful in accommodating our large party (which we arranged a few days before arrival). They had our tables ready to go and food came out quickly and everyone was very happy with their drinks and food choices. I had a crab cake sandwich which was prepared exactly as I requested. This restaurant has a fun vibe and offers a huge bar and drink selections for everyone's interest. They have outdoor seating and have room for private events. I love Maggie's Waterfront. The food is truly superb - from the sandwiches, pizzas, apps, desserts, and entrees. You can't go wrong with whatever you order. Recently, however, they started charging $1.00 per refill for any soda, iced tea, etc. (First time in any restaurant I had ever been charged for an iced tea refill.) I've been to Maggie's many times over the years, and will continue to be a big fan, but when places start "nickel and diming" their customers, it drives me crazy. I guess there is a refill charge for coffee too, but no one in our party had coffee that day. Prices have risen substantially in the last year or two. Lunch for two, with no alcohol or beer, came to about $80 with tax and tip. I don't mind paying for quality, and the food here is definitely worth it - just be prepared. read more

We came here for a birthday and reserved a 10 person table outside. They told us no problem but when we got here they didn't have it for us. After some waiting they got us 2 tables next to each other which was a satisfactory resolution. The food is decent but I really liked the drinks. Note: There is not enough parking here! Also it does get rowdy later at night. We saw 2 guys almost get into a fist fight over parking around 9pm. read more
